Elizabeth R- Constant Worship

My picture is titled, Constant Worship. I named it this because I took this picture one night at church during worship. To me this picture is a reminder of how our lives should be spent in a state of constant worship. I took this photo whith my Cannon Rebel. I edited this image by simply blurring out the people off to the side of my subject. This picture could be better if my friend had been more still.

Cole M-The One and Only Lara

The title of this image is “The One and Only Lara.” This photograph was taken in the studio in our Digital Photography classroom. The camera I used was a Pintax K200. For editing, I added a black in white filter. After that, I methodically tinted the photograph. Some of the colors I used were the same colors from the original image, and others I improvised. My editing could have been more effective if I had taken more time to tint the image. Due to time constraints during the Portrait Assignment, I didn’t take the time to use a small enough brush to tint every corner.

Jacob M- Moss Rock

The name of this photo is Moss Rock. It was taken about two weeks ago at Moss Rock. I took this with my Cannon Rebel xs. I changed the background colors and made the photo darker. in general I really love this photo.

Abbey S- Pepper Place Market

The title of this picture is Pepper Place Market. I took this picture 2 weekends ago on a Saturday. All my friends and I went downtown to this cute little market at Pepper Place. I took this picture with my Canon Rebel. I enhanced it and added some contrast. I wish it was a little more focused on her.

Derek T - Subway Shadows

My photo is titled Subway Shadows and was taken in the depths of the subway station in New York City. It was shot at 1/500th to give it a darkened effect. I increased the contrast and lowered the exposer so just emphasize on the white lights and white pillars. By putting on a black and white filter is gets rid of the distracting color and creates a bolder look. I could have taken it at different angle to create a more dynamic perspective.

Austin K- Mathew Jailed

This picture was called Mathew Jailed this is actually a composite so the back ground was my back porch, and the foreground was taken in the studio at school. The back ground was taken with taken with a cannon Powershot A4000IS and the subject was taken with Nikon D3100. The only thing I did to edit it was take Mathew out of on Photo and put him in the background and used a mask and selected the stuff i wanted to come through. I feel it could be better if the background wasn’t grainy.

Ben D- "Wonder"

This photo is titled “Wonder”. It was taken with a Canon T5i on October 19th in my local park. I edited this photo by lightening her hair up to give it more detail, and I gave the image slightly more contrast to make it pop. I feel like if I had experimented with other environments for the photo that the photo could have come out better.

Maria Fuentes- Candid

I really like this picture I took for the Portraits Assignment. I do realize is blurry and i think it would be better if it was more clear. It was taken with my phone and  iPhone 4,in downtown Birmingham i think is really good and the composition really makes it stand out.

Meagan M- Fire in the Sky

The title of this photo is Fire in the Sky because of the bright colors. I took this photo from my front porch while the sun was going down. I took this during the summer while it was very cloudy outside. I turned the saturation of this photo all the way up and turned the contrast super high. The picture could be a little better if the left corner was more in focus but over all i like the way the picture turned out.

Alice B - Morning Spiderweb

The title of this photo is Morning Spiderweb, because it was taken in the morning when I was going outside to go to school. This spiderweb was beside a tree in my backyard. This was taken with my Nikon L830 camera. I edited it to have more contrast, better highlight and shadow, and I changed the color tone just a little, so the spiderweb becomes more visible. This could have been better if I had focused on the spider more.

Anyul M- Bottles

I took this picture some time this past summer at Panama Fl while my family and i were visiting an old friend. I used my Nikon D3200 to take the picture and i used photoshop to edit this picture using curves and more contrast then lowering the intencity of the forest in the back ground.

Hub R- America's Pastime

I titled this image “America’s Pastime” because baseball is America’s Pastime. I took this inside of Regions Field inside the clubhouse after we got done rubbing baseballs for the Barons game that night. I took it with my Canon Rebel T5, I edited it by raising the contrast and exposure and shot the saturation down a bit. I think I could of made my subject stick out more and be more clear. This is one of my favorite shots that I have taken.

Kelvin W- Bella Kuna

Bella Luna- I took this photo with a Olympus Stylus-7030 14megapixel camara. This is a photo of my doggie Bella Luna. She is only 3 years old and she was born on Thanksgiving day. She isn’t very big she about half the size of my bookbag. I enhanced the photo and use the red eye marker to remove the redness in her eyes. I also sharpened the photo to bring out more color.

Maria V- Glass Dolphin

This was taken September 15 during the day, outside of my house. This was taken with a Cannon EOS Rebel T3i. I filtered it to black and white and added a little contrast and brightness. It could be better if it was angled differently, but i actually really like how the picture is already.

Bella M- Bama

This picture was taken on August 18th of 2014 in my room with a Cannon rebel T3i. This was edited by increasing the saturation, warmth, and exposure. Also i blurred around his face to put the focus directly on him. This could be better if i cropped out some of his body do his face, the subject, would be more pronounced.

Javon W- Ghost Cat Blog 2

This was supposed to be just a normal, everyday, picture of my mom’s car at night.  After taking the picture, I uploaded it to the computer.  Then I saw IT!  Do you??!!  What do you think it is?  Tell me.

Rachale M- Parking Lot Sunset

I took this picture last weekend in the parking lot of the Chick Fil A where i work. I love this picture because of the beautiful colors in the sunset over the mountain. i edited it by increasing the contrast to 10 the saturation to 55 and the highlights to 5.

Christy N- Bird

It was taken in Cozumel, Mexico when I was on a trip this school year. It was taken with a Samsung NX2000 and it was edited on iPhoto when I got back from the trip. I personally think that if it was taken with another camera it could have been even better. It is one of my favorite photos that I’ve taken regardless of selfies.

Josh B - My House

The title of the image is my house.  It was taken a couple of weeks ago when I was taking photos for the About Me assignment.  I took the photo with a Canon EOS Rebel SL1, that I have been using to take my photos for all of the assignments so far.  I did very minimal editing on the photo, just using tools like brighten, contrast, brighten, and vibrance tools.

Stephen B- Boardwalk

I took this at orange beach on the state boardwalk

Madeline V- Sunburned Leia and the Laser

This picture is titled Sunburned Leia and the Laser (and yes, I know that Leia did not get a bunch of scratches down her back, but Leia and the Laser is better than Padmae and the Laser).  I took this picture a couple of weeks ago, I took it with my Nikon D3200.  I edited it by putting the black and white filter and then adding a pink color to the laser and lego Leia and some select parts on the “machine”.  I could’ve made the picture better by taking the grainy part off of Leia and maybe taking the picture from a different angle and not making it so blurry.

Joicelyn R- Shining Star

The tile of this picture is Shining Star. I took this picture a couple of weeks ago in the courtyard at school. I got my friend Destinee to pose in random spots around the courtyard so I could get some shots to edit. For this particular photo, I enhanced the vibrance and I cropped it. I don’t think I could make this picture any better because I think I gee it a pretty natural look and I am happy with that look.

Peyton H- Adventure

This photoghaph was taken while going on a adventure to the lake with my friend. Its not all that focused but I think it looks pretty trill. It was taken with my iPhone and was my one of two attempts to take this picture. I tried to help with color in the picture because it was of course a little bit out of foucus. The title of this photo is “Skippy”, rhymes with Trippy.

Justin C- Fields

The title of this picture is “Fields” and it was taken in a clearing near Jamestown Drive. It was taken with my EOS Cannon Rebel and I edited it by simply adjusting the curves. I think it could be better if I were able to get more of an outline around his body and if the sun on the grass was a bit brighter.

Rachel P- Purple Flower

No statement provided.

Samantha A - High Hopes

The title of this picture is High Hopes because that song was playing when I took this picture, I don’t know how I remember that, but I do. Anyway, it was taken in my room a few weeks ago. It was taken with my Nikon D5200 and edited with photoshop. It could be better if it was taken from a different angle, it would probably look cooler.

Alex H- Jurassic Park

The title of my image is “Jurassic Park” and it was taken at Islands of Adventure in Orlando. I took it over the weekend. It was taken with my iPhone. I edited it by making the background more blue and by cropping it. Jurassic Park is probably my favorite area at Islands of Adventure. I took a lot of pictures while I was in Orlando and I think this is one of the better ones.

Bailey D- Skateboard

The picture is called skateboard and it was taken about a week ago. I took it down town at rail road park with my Nikon D50. I edited it by cropping it, adjusting the vibrance, and adjusting the color. It could be better if the skateboard was a little less blurry.

Lauren H- Free Nomad

This picture was taken Tuesday, October 13th, 2014. I did not use a stand or a reflector for this picture, I simply used the dim lighting from the sky. I edited the exposure level on my camera to make the picture just a little bit lighter. I then used photo filter for a touch of warming hue, added some contrast, and played with the hue of the photo. This picture was taken on the Vestavia Hills Country Club golf course. I really like the way this picture came out, the only thing I wish I could fix was the natural sharpness of the photo. But to me, i think it adds some character to the picture. It almost makes it look vintage.

Cross J- Chris

i took this picture on the first week of school of Chris. I used a little edits in iPhoto.

Austin K- Candle and Lamp

The name of this picture is candle and lamp night. It was taken on the back porch of my mothers house on September 15th of this year. It was taken with a CannonPowershot A4000 IS. I edited it by going to hue and saturation and turning everything to black and white exempt the reds. I feel it ould be better by shooting it with a higher quality camera.

Hannah L- Courtyard Apple

This photo is of an apple I found in the court yard at Hoover. i took this picture during 7th period at school. the original picture was the apple in the middle of the screen so i cropped the left side and and brightened the back up to show the background and the dark spots of the  apple. i enjoyed this project because i was able to explore my camera and how much light had an effect on a photo that is taken.

Nancy N.- "Only a mother could love that face."

This photo was taken at the San Diego Zoo last March. The title comes from a comment that one of the tourists said as we were watching a sleeping hippo in the water which I found really funny. I took the photo on my iPhone and did not do any editing to it. I love the expression on the hippo’s face and I had a good time taking the photo. If I could change the photo, I would probably would have taken it at a straighter angle.

Colton S- Spirit in the Sky

This photo was taken on June 18th and it was taken with my phone camera. I edited this photo by enchanting its saturation, but i wish i added a bit of definition to the photo to make the sun rising more defined in the picture, since it represents the spirit. This image was taken in the morning to get the rising effect from the sun and allows for a color contrast in the sky.

Kyla H. American Flag

The title of this picture is american flag. I took this one of the first couple of weeks of school in the courtyard. I was taken with my iPhone 5c. I put the saturation up to about 36 and the sharpness to 100. I should have took it from an different angle but it still turned out pretty okay.

Carmen V-Rusty

The name of this picture is Rusty and it’s a picture of my dog. I took this picture in my house and I took it a few weeks ago. I took it with a EOS Rebel T3i Canon. I edited by using the faded font. I think it could of been better if it had a different background.

Davis D- Ferrari Enzo

This is a picture I took over the weekend of Alabama’s only Ferrari Enzo. Ferrari only made 400 models of this car and its roughly priced around $3.2 million. I took this photo with a 50mm lens and got a fantastic image. The title I gave this photo is the “Ferrari Enzo”. I took this shot on U.S. Highway 280 going towards the Summit Shopping Center.

Crossan R- A Walk in the Park

The image is titled A Walk in the Park. I took it last weekend at Haddon in Ross Bridge. I took it with my Nikon d60 and 1.8 lens. I just bumped up the contrast in Photoshop because it was a bit washed out and overexposed. I wish her face was more in focus instead of her hand, which bothers me. This pictures and the others I took this day were a ton of fun!

Hub R- Southside

I title this image “Southside”. It was taken at Regions Field Downtown. It was taken over the summer. It was taken with my Canon Rebel T5. I edited it by raising the exposure and contrast but kept the saturation the same. I could of gotten a wider shot so I had both foul lines in the shot but I am pleased with the way this turned out. I named it Southside because the stadium is a part of a rising Southside district. Hope you enjoyed this image!

Anyul M- Oreo Awesomeness

I call this Picture Oreo Awesomeness because its a picture of my favorite kind of milkshake. I took this picture at Johnny Rockets on thursday when i was there with my mom that afternoon. I used my IPhone 5s to take the picture and the app called PicsArt to edit it. I think it could have been better if i had used my camera to take the picture not my phone.

Katie J- Parakeet

The title of this image is Parakeet. This photo was taken at the zoo at the bird feeding station over the summer. It was taken with a Nikon 3100. I went into photoshop and manipulated the brightness and contrast of the image. I also sharpened it and worked with the blue and red tones of the subject. It could be better if it were focused more.

Lupita G- Cholo

This is a picture of my best friend it is called “Cholo”
I took this downtown Birmingham during the night and day assignment. I took this with my Nikon 3200. I darkened this picture and contrasted it. I think it would be better if I took it from another angle.

Ben D- Remembrance

The title of this image is Remembrance. This photo was taken on September 16th, 2014 on my back porch. I took this with my Canon Rebel t5i. For this photo, I added a small amount of contrast and sharpened the image to create a more dramatic feel. This photo could be better if it was shot in a better location, since you can see stairs in the lower lefthand side of the image, which detracts from the overall mood. In order to get this lighting, I used a single LED fill lamp placed on the ground to silhouette part of his body.

Blake S- Pond

Taken during September of 2014 with a Canon EOS Rebel XTI. I mainly increased the contrast and tweaked a lot of other things. It could be a better picture if I used a better camera, I am happy overall with the result.

Brianna S. - Peace of Mind

I call this image “Peace of Mind” and I took it at Carmel Beach in California. I took it with my iPhone 5, and I edited it by sharpening the image, enhancing the colors a little bit and lowering the exposure a tad to make the sunset pop out more. This picture should be better if I took it with a nicer camera to make the details show up more and if it didn’t look so grainy. I titled it “Peace of Mind” because walks along the beach or just sitting along the shore with the sounds of the waves always helped me clear my head whenever I had a lot going on and helped me gain back parts of my sanity. The sunsets there were always breathtaking and beautiful, and they just make you want to sit and stare at them forever.

Matthew M- Linear

The title of this image Linear. I took this picture about 2 weeks downtown in front of the new Barons stadium. I edited this in photoshop. I put a filter on it and turned up the brightness of the blues so the stadium would stand out more and give it better contrast from the stadium’s outline. One way this image could be better is that I should have taken it from an angle where the light was not in it.

Matthew O- Colorless Life

This photo is called Colorless life.
I took this photo on september 27th in a yard near my house. I used my nikon D3100 and edited it with GIMP, Mextures and Photoshop.
The edits were a collection of color and light tweaks that made it just right In my eyes. I worked on the photo for a total of about 3 hours.
I like this photo because the flower is less saturated than would normally appear, and my favorite style of photography is a darker, more mysterious style.

Chris B- Explosion

This is a photo of the fountain in Star Lake. I edited in photoshop and thought it was cool because it ended up looking like an explosion.

Desha R - Summer Lilies

The Title of my Selected image is Called Summer Lilies. It was taken on a Island in Japan. It was taken with a Sony Alpha 5000. I edited it by increasing the saturation and the sharpness. I also crop the photo a little. It Could have been better if there wasn’t people in the back ground. I love the coloring of the photo though.

Kate M.- The Pond

The title of this photo is The Pond. I took it around New Years this year after I got my camera at my farm in Tuscaloosa. I took this picture with myCanon Rebel t3. To edit this picture I used photoshop to give it a blue filter and enhanced the contrast of the original image. I think that the blue filter added a lot more depth to the clouds and the water because they were originally just gray and kind of boring. This is my favorite picture that I have ever taken and I wouldn’t do anything to change it because I don’t think that I could really make it much better.
