Waseem A- Forensics Handprints

This photo was taken in Coach Smith’s Forensic Science class this week. We used black paint and a small paint roller to get our hand prints on the paper. I used adjustment curves (I think that’s what they’re called) to make the table seem like it is all covered in paint. I also took the brush tool and erased some of the “paint” behind the paint roller to make it look like it was cleaning everything in front of it. This is my first photoshop edit so if you have any suggestions or praises for this masterpiece, feel free to comment. I took this photo with my iPhone 6s.

Cameron S- Flower Wall

This picture is titled “flower wall” I took this downtown with my Nikon D5300. I boosted the contrast and saturation and i think it could be better if i took a zoomed out picture so you can see more of what is around the flower.

Brandon H- “Take The Shot”

This picture is of my friends Abbi and Madi that I took downtown sometime last semester. This picture was really fun to take even tho it took a couple of tries. It was hard to take because we had to wait for all of the cars to pass and then run to hold my phone over them on the road. I edited this by painting the asphalt pink and then using the exclude tool, which created the black and neon look. I would have liked to have this picture on a real camera as opposed to my phone but the day wasn’t supposed to be a photo trip.

Julia M- Future lights

This picture is called “Future lights”. This picture shows my little brother looking into a portal (a light) that shows one of his futures, working in a exciting place such as New York. This picture is from our composite assignment so the original photo was my brother looking into the light with a New York picture I took and faded it into the lights. It may be hard to see but i added some coloration from another picture into his hair to give it a futuristic glow like the portal is reflecting on his hair giving him cool colors. This picture could have been better if there was more of him in the picture and if the light was more vibrant.

Taylor D- Money

I titled this picture Money because it is a mason jar full of different coins. I took this picture at my house one night and it was fascinating to me because some of the coins are hard to find, and I’ve had these forever. I lowered the brightness and brought out the contrast for more definition in the picture as well.

Lily D- Lana

This photo is titled “Lana”. It was taken in my room on my record player. I edited it by making it more vibrant and darkening it. I also pulled the contrast up. It could be better if I captured more of the record player, and not just the record. I like this picture because it is a lana delray record and she is one of my favorite singers, so I thought I would take a picture of that certain record playing.

DeVaun J- Eyes

The name of this picture is Eyes . It was one of my Composite photos and this one was my favorites that I did myself. It could be better if I could make the eyes pop more.

Alyssa R- Nature

The title of this picture is “Nature” because I always admire nature when I am on walks with my dogs. It was taken on a trail near my house and it was taken with my cannon Rebel. I did not edit this photo at all I left it alone. It could be brightened in some places like the leaf to bring more attention to the heart shape.

Magali V- Future of a Child

Future of a Child is my favorite picture because it describes the beauty of a childhood, long with the uncertainty that the future will hold. This picture was part of the composite assignment and it is made with a combination of pictures taken this semester and last semester. To create this picture, I layered 4 different pictures with different tones and contrast in oder to fully explain the meaning of the colors. The bright color contract the dark outer colors because it shows the difference of how a person views their childhood and their adulthood. This picture could be better if the outside borders were more clear and there was more distinction between many of the things included in the image.

Sophia J- Flowers to Die 4

This was image is a composite I made on 1-11-17. It was taken with a Nikon Cool Pix.
It has a black and white filter with five faded images. This blend of colors and nature were good but I think the color blue could have made it better.

Madelyn W- Peeping Through

This photo was taken in downtown Birmingham on Morris Avenue. This photo was taken with my Canon Rebel t5. To edit this photo I brought down the brightness and then used the brush tool to lighten and darken some areas. This photo could be better if the leaves weren’t so blurry. I named this photo Peeping Through because it looks like she’s peeping through the leaves.

Ben S - Ice

This image is called ice. I took it in my backyard when it snowed. I like it because the colors are neutral and the background is blurry. I took this with my canon D1000. It was really fun to take pictures of the ice.

Lesly M- Coffee

This was taken a while back near the holiday break and it was taken with an iPhone 6s. I darkened it and I put up the contrast as well. It could be better if the person I was with was somewhat in the picture but like not really lol. I just remember this day was a great day with my best friend shara :)

Emily B - Chaos

This picture was a combination of 3 photos. First, I used a picture I took of my sister’s blue eye. I darkened it a little and added a picture of a sunset I took, after I blurred it to make it look almost faded. The sunset effect added the warm and cool colors in the picture and made a really nice gradient. Lastly, I added three neon blue motion blurs from a photo I took of a car driving. I twisted them and turned them to all look different. I really really like how this picture turned out. I would not change anything!

Mackenzie J- The Eye of Wonder

This image is a composite taken with a Canon Rebel. The photos used in this composite were taken throughout Winter break in a variety of different areas. I edited it by using masks and different filters, creating the texture and colors. The image could be better if the eye was straight rather than tilted.

Mahita T- Raindrop

I took this picture a few weeks ago when it snowed. I took this picture in my front porch. I took this picture with my Nikon D50 camera. I edited this picture off of VSCO. I increased the brightness and the warmth of the picture. I also increased the clarity and sharpness. I think this picture could have been better if I took this picture closer to the raindrop.

Amber B- Gas Station

This photo is called Gas Station. I took this picture with a nikon D3500. Me and my sister were driving around and I saw this gas station and I thought it was really cool.I like this picture because it gives an old time feel to the town. I adjusted the brightness and the contrast.

Raven H ~ Stepping Stones

This picture is titled Stepping Stones. I took this picture at my grandmother’s house for the About Me project. I love this picture a lot because of the warm earthy colors and how sharp and detailed the mushrooms and pieces of bark are. I did not edit this picture at all but I wish the mushrooms weren’t so glared.

Matthew G. - Hand and Flowers

This imaged is called hand and flowers. Im pretty sure its obvious why. I took this at my house with the help of my girlfriend as the hand model. I cleaned up the hand a little bit and layered the images. I used a picture of the botanical gardens and a flag from my front yard. I shot this picture with my nikon D3300

Ava W- Reflections

I took this picture at Tip Top Grill on Lover’s Leap of a puddle on the rock with my friend standing in front of it. I like how the trees make a reflection in the puddle and the sun was able to add lightness to it. I adjusted the brightness and vibrance a little. The picture is simple, but I like the outcome of it.

Heath M- Evening Sunset

The title of this image is called “Evening Sunset.” I took this picture in Moss Rock at around 5:30 a couple of weeks ago. It was taken with my Canon EOS 40D. I edited this image during the Composite project by using the cropping, brushing and composition tools. I believe that this picture could be perfected by doing a little better job with the brush tool. I really enjoyed editing this picture and was happy with how it turned out.

Sarah Page H.- Jeep

This photo is name Jeep. The photo was taken in my garage a few weeks ago.It was taken with my Nikon 3300. It is taken of the back of my Jeep logo. I darkened it a tad to make the jeep pop out more. I made the Jeep logo lighter but the edges around it darker.

Sarah H- Scrappy Doo

In this photo is my dads dog Scrappy Doo. I took this over Thanksgiving break at my dads house on my Canon Rebel T5. I edited this photo by brightening it and messing with the exposure. I added some warming filters to it and also cropped it. This photo could be better if I would have gotten lower down and i would of made him sit and stay.

Mattie B- Eyes

This Image is titled “Eyes”. I took  it a long time ago and I don’t remember who it is. I edited it by making her black and white and turning up the saturation on the eyes. I think this picture could be a lot better if I made the borders on the eyes a little cleaner.

Darius H- Colorful Chris

No statement provided.

Asil H- Coca Cola

I titled this image as Coca Cola. I took this picture 3 weeks ago in my back yard. I took this picture with my Nikon D3200. I edited this picture by the Hue/ saturation technique.

Alicia U- Max

The title for this image is Max. This photo was taken with my Canon Eos Rebel sL1. The picture was taken back in like September at the trails. I edited this photo on Photoshop i made the picture black and white. Then i edited the dog and turn it back to the original color. To make the picture better I would liked it to be taken another angle and showing the whole body of the dog.

Trajan J - Ink Blot

I call this photo Ink Blot. I took this on Thanksgiving day on the highway on the way to Atlanta, Georgia. I took this with my IPhone 6s Plus. I took this photo and put  a sketch filter on it to make it look drawn. I think I could’ve toned down the  black a little.

Seun B- Purple Chill

The title of the image is called Purple Chill. It was taken during thanksgiving break out side of my house. It was taken with my phone. I used Color efex pro to edit this.

John W- Color Keyboard

This picture is called Color Keyboard. I took this picture because I love my laptop and my keyboard changes colors and my overall favorite color is red so I decided to take the picture with it lighting up in red. The picture is really giving a cool blue vibe all around and just focusing on the keyboard from an angle.

Joey B- Red Apples

This is a photo I titled “Red Apples.” I took it on November 6th with a Canon EOS Rebel T5. The apples in this photo were originally green, but I edited them for fun to make them look red, using the hue adjustment and mask tools. This photo would be better if I had traced the outlines on the apple perfectly.

DeVaun J- Friendily

The name of the picture is Friendily. Its a mix between friend and family. I took it August 24 2016 in the band room before we left for the Texas trip. The only edit i did was cropping it. It could be better if it was cropped tighter.

Cullen S- Sectional Winners

This photo I took at sectionals for the cross country season in which both girls and guys won. They were handing out the awards and t-shirts to the runners after the race at this wooden platform and I was able to grab a quick pic before they could all disperse to parents and friends. I like the way it’s edited and everything there but think it could be so much better if the runner in the far left side wasn’t there. The guy standing there is fine because it shows the situation and helps with the story but the runner on the other side completely distracts me a bit.

Alli J- Kurt Cobain

This is a picture of my favorite picture of Kurt Cobain. I saw it in the store Spencers in the mall and I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for it. but online I only found smaller prints of the image. anyways, I edited this photo by increasing the contrast, Decreasing the brightness a little, and used a color layer to paint his guitar blue (original picture it’s white)

Tristan b- Bishop

This picture is of my friend Bishop.  This was made by hand tinting it and cropping it this all I did.

Taylor D- Goldfishing

This is called gold fishing. I took this the week of thanksgiving over my house. I used my iPhone to take this picture because my Nikon was charging. I saturated the colors and made the hue more red as it should. It would have been better if I took it with my actual camera and maybe at another angle.

Jack B- Untitled

This image doesn’t have a title because I couldn’t think of a good one. I took this picture at the preserve back in October. I took this picture with my canon camera. I think that this image could be a little better if I had a little more light.

Jacob C- Ancient Times

I call this image “Ancient Times.” The image was taken in my backyard for the About Me assignment. It was taken with my Nikon D40X camera. I edited the image by focusing on the inner circle of the clock. I also warmed up the image. It could have been better if the image was not have so much black on the bottom left of the clock.

Satura D- Pink Drink

This photo is called Pink Drink. I changed the red color to a bright pink and tinted it using a Nik filter making it seem like a vintage photo.

Amber B- Grapes

The name of my photo is Grapes because it was a vineyard that I took this picture. The picture was taken with Nikon D3500 camera and has not been edited. I could have made the image clearer. I liked this photo because it was one of the rare times I got to spend with my family.

Madelyn W- Thanksgiving Lunch

My picture is titled Thanksgiving Lunch. I took this photo at my house on thanksgiving day. To edit this photo I used the glow effect and bumped up the contrast. To make this photo better I could have focused more on the actual food and it was more centered.

Darius H- A Guy I Know

I was just having fun with this. Its a guy I know in one of my class.

Sophia J- Cat Walk

This photo was taken near a dog park on 9-27-16 pound 4:30. It was taken with Coolpix Camera.
I brighten/contrast, adjusted the saturation and vibrance, and changed the exposure.
The photo could use a little more focus.

Yash M- Smoky Hike

This photo is called Smoky Hike and I took it in the Smoky Mountains over Thanksgiving Break before it was on fire. I took it with my cell phone and I didn’t edit it too much. I just increased the saturation just a bit to make the greens greener. I may have looks better if there wasn’t a lens flare in the top left.

Olivia H- Happy Cow

This picture is titled Happy Cow bc that is the name of the farm I took this at. It was in Greenville SC. I took this with my cannon. To edit this photo I enhanced the color and sharpened it. It could be better if I got more focus on the cows and not so much hay flying around.

Julia M.- Cuttlefish

The name of my image is Cuttlefish. I took it with my Nikon D80. This picture was taken at the McWayne science Center in Birmingham. I edited it by enhancing the sharpness and adding a ad bit of color back into the photo. It could have been better if it was more clear and if I touched it up more with the blemish tool.

Will H- Anas the Legend

This Is a picture is called Anas the Legend I took this of my best friend named Anas. I took this photo and then made a 2nd background template and then went to filters and made it neon with black blurry outline over it. it was taken durning first period durning math class. i could of tried a litter harder on making it look darker in certain areas. I don’t really make these types of picture very much.

Maci H - Along the Horizon

Raven H ~ Millie

This picture is called Millie. Millie is my aunt’s newest member of the family and I absolutely love her. I took this picture over Thanksgiving break at my aunt’s house. The only editing I did was to crop the image and brighten it up a little. It could be better if her tail wasn’t wagging in the background and if you could see her left eye more. Over all this is one of my favorite pictures of my family dogs.
