Nakeeya M- Shark Attack

This image is called Shark Attack. This was taken at the Tennessee Aquarium with my iphone. I edited this photo using photos and photo shop I also used  the levels tool (basicually: you select if you’re changing the bright point, mid-tone, or black point.) then when I used photo shop I blured the the image and turned down the image volume. With makin this image better personally I dont think it could be any better but if I had to change things I would add more sea creacher so it will look like the ocean was being attacked or something like that. Over all I had fun at the tennessee aquarium and I wanted to show off one of my favorite pictures.

Dylan T- Evening Yard work

This is a picture of my lawnmower(pretty self explanatory). I took it on a Thursday a few weeks ago on my driveway facing my front yard. I took it with my Canon EOS Rebel T7 and for the specifics, Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II 3984 × 2656. I didn’t really do much with this but turn up the vibrance a bit to make the orange pop more. I don’t know why but I really like this one, it really reminds me of the nostalgia ultra album cover by frank ocean, and I really like how I did the light with it. There's not really much happening its just a lawnmower at night with great lighting in my opinion.

Matthew H - Hit!

I took this image, titled “Hit!” (in reference to blackjack), in my dining room. I used my Canon Mark II camera to capture the shot and used a tripod to keep the card still while waving a lit match in front of the camera. I set it to a long exposure to blur the match and leave a fire trail behind. I edited the picture by increasing the vibrance, adding a vignette, and using the dodge tool on and around the card to make it look like it’s glowing. This is my favorite image I’ve taken all year and the thing I would want to change is having a cooler looking fire trail.

Bryan F- At My House

This image was taken at my house Sep 29, 2022. I took this photo with my iPhone. I edited the levels of the image to give it more richness and brightness and saturation of the image.

Diana P - Traffic Light

The title of this image is “Traffic Light.” I took it while I was in the car with my dad back in July. It was taken with a Canon Powershot SX530 HS. To edit it, I turned the brightness up and the color up. I had a filter on, on the camera when I took this picture. I don’t really know how it could be better.

Reagan B - Love is All Around

This photo is called “Love is All Around”, and was taken August 27th of this year in the woods around and abandoned house. I took this picture on a sony SLT - A55V. This picture was really over exposed with the sun beaming down from the right hand corner, so i turned down the exposure, as well as turned up the contrast to really give it that vibrant green nature feel. This picture could’ve turned out better if the ISO wasn’t so high because you’ll notice a lot of the grass is overexposed and looks white.

Emily K - Night Leaf

This picture is titled “night leaf” because it was from our night and day assignment. It was taken on September 24, 2022 in the woods behind my lake house. I took it with my Canon t7 camera with the help of a flashlight under the leaves. I didn’t think it needed a lot of editing so I cropped it a bit and adjusted some of the lighting and saturated the green of the picture. I think it could be a little better if I touched up some of the holes in the leaves, but I also think they give it character. The experience that went along with taking this picture is special to me because my dad helped. He really loves helping me with my photography assignments and I think it’s really sweet that he will do whatever he can to fulfill my vision.

Ashton T - Tree Branch

The title of this image is “Tree Branch”. It was taken on September 20th, 2022 in my backyard. It was taken with my Nikon D80. I edited it by turning up the contrast and color of the trees while darkening the foreground and blurring the background to make the tree branch the main focus. I think I could have taken a more interesting image of the trees, but I really like the shape of the branch and I think nature is really cool.

Sophia T- Most Western Point of Europe

I named this photograph “The Most Western Point of Europe” simply because it was taken during my trip to Sintra, Portugal, where we visited the most Western part of Europe. I edited the image by increasing the color saturation as well as the lighting contrast. I wish I got more angles of the scenery, especially ones showcasing the Atlantic Ocean in the background.

Taylor D- Tree

The title of this image is Tree & it’s basically just a tree in my front yard. I edited this phot by lowering the brightness, sharpening the image and a little blur. I don’t think it could get any better than this, this picture is very fascinating to me This was taken on an iphone 11 probably in portrait mode & it was taken a morning before school in the start of fall.

Dylan B- Ferris Wheel

The title of this image is Ferris Wheel. This photo was taken at the fair on  September 3rd. I took this picture on my iPhone 12 mini. I edited this picture by turning the color and brightness up. I think it could’ve been better if I had a chance to be a little more still.

Crystal V- Moo

The title of this photo is Moo. I took this photo at a farm that I went to with my family on monday october 10, 2022. I took this photo with a Sony alpha6100. How I edited this photo was to turn the saturation and brightness up. How this photo could be better is that the photo could be a bit more clearer.

Muriithi M - Drabby Night

I’mma be real for a second, the only real reason I picked that name is for an extremely dumb pun and nothing else. Well, no matter what I don’t think I will change the name as I like it as is. This photo was taken a the backyard of my house at night with my camera I used for school. I forgot the name and specifics of it but it’s very bad. However, it makes these nighttime photos look more crypted and cursed, so do a few adjustments light toning up the brightness and boom, instant 11/10.

Outside of that, I didn’t do much in the way of editing, as it didn’t take much to make it have that “low-quality-found-aliens-gone-owo,” along those lines. I think one thing I could learn from this is to use whatever stuff I use to my advantage, even if it’s the bare minimum of equipment.

Maddox D - Flower

The Image is called Flower. The picture was taken in my house on September 18. I took the photo with a Canon EOS Rebel T6i. I blurred the background and overlaid a copy of just the flower. I needed to have the end of the flower more in focus.

Benji H-- Robot Art

This piece is called Robot Art. It was taken at my house one night when I felt inspired. I used my old art portfolio pieces to reveal something about myself: my love for art. I used filters to give it a warmer tone than it had prior. Overall I like the result. However, if I was to do it again, I would probably get it to focus more on the robot rather than the red colored pencil.

Ayda M- San Antonio

I took this picture last summer with a Canon Rebel T7i in San Antonio on a road trip with my family to the Grand Canyon. I straightened the picture, increased the saturation, the contrast, and the shadows, and edited it to look warmer. I think if the picture was taken at a different angle where the traffic light was even with the sidewalk I would this picture more. I like this picture because I think it accurately represents San Antonio and how it felt to be there.

Amber H- Eye

This picture is called eye. It is a picture of my boyfriends left eye. It was taken outside during sunset at TipTop Grill in Bluff Park. This picture was part of my Night and Day photography assignment. My light source was the sun and it could be better if it were more up close to the eye. I really just used the dodge tool, the burn tool, and the spot healing brush tool. I also adjusted the size and hardness of the spot healing brush tool.

Kate M- Rockstar Wizard

The title of my image is “Rockstar Wizard”. It was taken at my friend Joseph’s house about a week ago. I took it with my camera which is a Nikon D5600. I edited it by turning the brilliance and highlights all the way down, contrast all the way up, I messed with the curves, and turned the saturation up slightly. I feel like it could be a lot better if it was a little more defined.

Logan S- Night and Day 2

The title of the picture is Light Lizard. This picture was taken in my front yard at night. I took the photo with a Kodak AZ252 digital camera. For the editing, I made a copy of the lizard, changed the hue to blue, turned that into a mask, and used a textured brush to erase the edges. I duplicated the lizard again and added a wave filter. I duplicated the lizard again and added motion blur. I could have made the background light less intense.

Maci J- 11:59

The title of this image is 11:59. I took this photo in September in my room. This photo was taken with my Canon Powershot SX540 HS. I edited this photo by cropping out a lot of the background and making edits to the brightness of the image. I think this image could have better if it were more clear or I wore a different shirt. The gray shirt sort of makes it look more grainy than it may be. The reason I titled this image 11:59 is because I wanted to take a photo that represented an experience many students have been through. Sometimes you don’t feel like doing work in class or you put something off and suddenly it's night time and you’re incredibly stressed out trying to get the assignment done before the notorious 11:59 deadline. In some of the other photos I took I think you can see that stress but in this one I think it more so showcases the regret and apathy towards finishing the assignment.

Jose Gomez B - AMX

The title of the image is AMX and it was taken in my apartment complex. It was taken with a Canon EOS Rebal T7 camera. I edited the color, contrast, and saturation of the image. I like the photography, but I think it could be better If the source of light was better.

Anna Gale H- A Candle's Light

This image is called “A Candle’s Light.” I took this image of a candle at night in my living room. It has pumpkins that I used to decorate for the fall with the candle as the light source. I took this picture with my iphone 13 pro, but I still think the phone camera captured the light well. To edit this picture I changed the light to show more in the shadows. I also edited out some fuzz that was on the candle. I think this image could be better if I used my camera that have at home because I think the quality would be better. I like this photo because I think it fits the spookieness of October.

Amelia G- Walflower

The title of this image is Walflower. This photo was taken in my front yard on September 23rd. I took this picture with my iPhone 13 and I edited it by increasing the saturation, sharpness, and highlights. I think it could have been better if the stem wasnt so thin. I really like this image because the peddles are really sharp and stick out but it also goes well with the wall behind it.

Ahmad J- Yellow Moon (First Post of 22-23 School Year)

I took this photo near the shopping center at the front of the neighborhood. It was taken around 8 at night. It was taken with a Nikon Coolpix L340. For editing I raised the contrast a bit and edited out the power lines. It would be better if I could zoom in more and bring out the detail. Other than that I think this was a pretty good photo.
