BrookeF- Be Blessed

This is one of my favorite pictures I have taken so far. I took it in my car in the Church of the Highlands parking lot when I got out of church. This is my favorite thing about my car; it hangs from my mirror and reminds me how blessed I am. I increased the definition to make the cross stand out more and i made the temperature warmer to bring out the colors. I like how the background is soft and the focal point is on the cross.

Kinsey V- Red Beauty

This photo was taken in my front yard on September 3rd.  This picture was taken with my Nikon D3000. I enhanced this picture using the quick fix. I also boosted the contrast, set the sharpness all the way to 100 to make the flower stand out, and put the definition to about half (44). I think this image could of turned out better if I included more flowers in the faded background instead of just one big flower.  I love how the water droplets are visible on the flower. It gives the picture much more texture.

Jackson W- Hats

The title of my selected image is Hats It was taken in a restaurant in North Carolina on July 5th
It was taken with my iPhone 4 I edited it to really bring out the different colors of the hats and lights and signs in the restaurant. Honestly I like this photo a lot so I don't think it could be much better. The restaurant we went to the owner lived in Hoover and now owns a wings and bbq restaurant in Black Mountain.  He collects all kinds of hats and puts them on the roof along with street signs on the walls.

Tyler C- Baseball in the Grass

This picture is called Baseball in the grass and was taken at Shades Mountain Park one afternoon. THe image was taken with my Kodak point and shoot camera. I edited this image by increasing the contrast and saturation in order to highlight the rough nature of the baseball. The image could be better if the image was a little sharper.

Rebecca G- Race

The title of this picture is "Race". It was taken on labor day weekend in Montevallo. It was taken with my iPhone 4s. To edit it, I boosted the color, cropped it, enhanced it, adjusted the contrast and raised the saturation. I wish that this picture was a little more clear.

Kellie P- Skateboard Love

This picture is of my cousins skateboard. It was taken in front of my house a while ago. I think this describes me because I love skateboarding. Its a fun thing to do with my friends. I like this picture because the way the camera and skateboard are angled. Most people would never guess that I skateboard because I like "girly things" well there is a lot more to me than just my clothes and accessories. The drawing on the skateboard is one reason why I chose this picture for my project. I think it is just really cool, and I like cool things. Another reason why I chose this picture for the project was because it is something nobody knows I do, its shows that nobody really is what they seem like on the outside. The effects I used on this photo were, exposure and saturation effects.

Isaac E- Silky Smooth

This picture was one of the first one I took using a DSLR. I did not edit this picture at all, because I don't think it needs much editing. I really like how the background is extremely blurry, but the spider is in focus, along with the web that he is sitting on.

Haley.C- Seeing with new "eyes"

I titled this image "Seeing With New Eyes" It was taken outside in the back school paring lot on my bus after school
It was taken with my Nikon D7000 I edited it with IPhoto. I boosted the exposure, contrast, and the saturation.
It could be better if the trees were more in focus

Jade B- Mobile, Alabama

The title of my image is untitled. it was taken in Mobile, Alabama on September 2, 2013 It was taken with a Nikon D3100. This picture was edited with black and white filter, change in exposure and saturation and darkening in the picture. I love the way this picture turned out and i wouldn't change anything about it.

Marco V- A Day at the Beach

The title of this picture is"a day at the beach". This picture was taken at Panama City Beach on July 13,2013.
It was taken with my iPad. I edit it the picture my  boosting the color just a little.
This picture is perfect as is it. I really like this Picture because it shows a normal day at the beach.

Kelley M- Bethany Village

It was taken this summer at senior camp at Camp Mcdowell. I took it with my iPhone 4S.I darkened it but also contrasted it. I don't not think it could be better. It is called Bethany village, because that is actually the name of the farm it was taken on. Bethany Village at Camp Mcdowell is an upcoming piece of camp that is designed for children and adults with special needs. The name itself however comes from the bible where Jesus, Mary, and a girl named Bethany (who is said to have had a form of special needs.) met with others with special needs and worshiped God. This picture is so beautiful and it shows how such a wonderful thing can truly take your breath away.

Ashlyn W- Truck Wash

This photo s called "Truck Wash"  it was taken in my driveway in September 11th 2013. It was taken on my iPhone. I adjusted the saturation, sharpness, and contrast.

David K- Baseball

The title of the image is called Atlanta Braves. It was taken in Atlanta, Georgia on a saturday afternoon. This picture was taken with the iPhone 5. I enhanced the image and turned down the brightness. This is my favorite photo.

Claire A-Tracy Arm Glacier

When & Where- It was taken sumer 2013 in Tracy Arm, Alaska. I took this photo from my cruise ship.
Taken with- It was taken with my iPhone 5 camera
Edited- I used the auto enhance and the contrast
Better- I could make it better by getting the picture at a better angle
Other- Alaska was the prettiest place I have ever been

Haley G- A Rose and Ring

I took this photo outside on my back porch on August 30th. I took it with my fugifilm digital camera. I enhanced the photo and added the effect antique to one degree. I set saturation to 53 and shadows to 17. I think the photo could be better if the ring was shown more of the red to the ruby.
I chose this photo for this weeks photoblog because it is on elf my favorite photos. it is one of my favorites because the ring displayed in the picture is my ring that was given to me by my mom. I chose the rose as the background because it s my favorite flower and i really think the colors of the rose compliment the ring.

Sana K- TV Shows

This picture is of my CDs of TV shows, and I took this picture in my room with my Canon Powershot SX40 HS. I edited the picture by cleaning up the background using the clone stamp, healing tool, and paint brush tool. I also unsaturated the background and increased the contrast of the CDs. I could have improved the picture by making the background a bit smoother and also completely desaturating the background.

Karley K- Lake Life

The title of this photo is called "Lake Life." I took this picture over the summer with my phone when my family went to the lake. I enhanced the color and increased the exposure, contrast, saturation and definition so that the color of the water, sun and leaves would look brighter. I thought the sunset looked really pretty and I loved the way the ray of sun looks over the trees. I wouldn't do anything to change it.

Hannah G- Labor Day Fireworks

I took this picture when i was at the beach for Labor Day. I didn't have my camera with me so i used my phone. when i edited this picture, I added highlights and changed the tint a small amount. This picture would be better if I had taken it with my camera so it would be sharper and more clear. I like this picture because the firework looks cool and you can see the boat in the water below the firework!

Gauge I- Manchester United

I took it on september 2nd 2013 at 7:50 pm in my room. it was taken with a canon Powershot A4000 IS. when i edited it I put black and white on. put fade up to 9. edge blur to 4. boost to 1 and put the saturation at 66. it could have more color.

Ashlyn R- Light

I named this picture Light because I love hoe the sun shines throughout the summer tree. I took this picture one day after school of my favorite climbing tree in my yard. I took this with my cannon d5000 and edited it by only enhancing the picture. This picture could be better by not being  so close up to the tree.

Ashley G- Pink Sky

This photo was taken when the sun was beginning to set. The sky looked amazing to me so I wanted to remember its beauty. When I edited this picture I lowered the contrast and added more saturation and warmth. I also changed the levels of the picture.

Brianna M- Sky Screamers

This image is called Sky Screamers. I took it at Six Flags over Georgia on September 7th of this year while I was over there for a little trip with my mother and best friend. I took it with my DSLR Canon and edited it by cropping, straightening, fixing my exposure settings and then adding sepia. I think if I could just color the people on the swings and leave everything else sepia, it would look more neat. I happened to be standing outside of the park when I took this. It is 250 feet high going 45 miles per hour. I took this with my zoom lens standing more than 7 football fields (estimated) away from it.

Bailey T- Jonny Boy

This picture was taken at my lake house on Smith Lake during the summer. I took this photo with my iPhone 5. I thought that the picture was good and did not need any editing. I could have cropped the picture and done some enhancements to make it better.

Anna Kathryn D- Gatsby

This picture was taken in my bedroom at night. I took the picture with my iPhone 4S. I edited it by adding exposure and defining the picture. It could better if Gatsby's eyes were open.

Allison S- Airplane Wing

This photo is entitled "Airplane Wing". I took this Labor Day weekend on a plane coming home from New Jersey. I took this with a canon powershot. I sharpened it, gave it more contrast and saturation, and made it a little darker. It could be better if the sunset in the background was a little more focused. Other than that I'm really happy with it!

Cory P- Home

This picture is called "Home." I took this picture right outside my house coming home from football practice one day at the to of my driveway. I took this picture with my Sony Digital Camera and I enhanced the color in the picture. I also used the saturation tool and the contrast tool, but I don't like the blue and gold that is visible at the bottom of the picture.

Shelby A- Olive

The title of the photo is Olive. It was take in my front yard a couple weeks ago. It was taken with a Conon EOS. I edited by enhancing it, using the retouch up, boosting the shadows, sharpness, and denoies. I could  have focussed more on the left side because its a little blurry.

Ben F- Speed Cell

The title of this picture is called Speed Cell. It was taken on the Hoover football field this last summer. It was taken with my iPhone 4s. I used a filter on the photo but i don't remember what kind. However, i boosted the sharpness by 100% on iPhoto. This photo could be better by actually taken the photo on a soccer field. I wish the pole behind the soccer ball was gone and the field goal was not as noticeable since the subject of the picture is soccer and not football.

Chloe W- Sunset

This photo is called sunset. I took this sept 8  after a long day of school. Taken with a Rebel T3.To edit this photo in iPhoto I set the boost to 3, saturation to 58 definition to 21, highlight 9, shadow to 17, sharpness to 18. To make it better I could have added more details in the shadow.

Alex F- Leaf

The title of this photo is "Leaf." It was taken in my backyard in August 2013. It was taken with my Nikon Coolpix. I used the Enhance feature on iPhoto to edit this photo. It could be better if the bottom, right foreground was more focused. I really like how you can very clearly see the details of the leaf and the blurriness of the background.

Aleena B- Beam

My chosen photo is entitled Beam. This picture was taken on the trails near my neighborhood in August and is one of my favorite nature pictures I've taken and I absolutely love the sunlight shining and the green of the leaves. It was taken with my Nikon d80 with a 150mm lens. I enhanced the photo and boosted the color to brig out the vibrant green color and also increased the definition and sharpness to accentuate the detail of the trees and leaves. It could be better if the picture were a little lighter and if I had gotten a better angle of the sun.
