Sophia C- Ant's view

This picture is called Ant’s View. This picture was taken in my backyard for the night and day assignment. I edited by messing with the saturation and vibrance, also with the levels and curves. I really like this photo and how the sun comes in the image.

Jamari J- Dream BMW

The title is Dream BMW. It was taken at my grandmothers house September 24. It was taken with my iPhone 6s plus. I used shadow and blur. And I could have used less filters.

Emma H- Bella Boo

This was taken in my room next to my bed on Wednesday 23, 2019. This was taken with my phone. I edited it by brighting the color in the collar and her eyes because it looks like she was shocked. The colors stand out more in the background as well. I also cropped it drown to be closer to her face. It could be better by her face being a little down more ad a little less of my messy room. I was sick this day so I was home alone with the puppy and my cat and her. Molly was laying on my chest and my cat was somewhere napping and all Bella wanted was to go outside but I couldn’t get up and move because of Molly the sleeping puppy so she wasn’t happy when I told her that.

Sade' W- Angel

This image I took of a statue in front of my house. I took this picture with a Canon T6. I edited this image my darkening the shadows and I played around with the levels, contrast, and highlights through photoshop. I love this picture because of the intensity in the image and the contrast between light and dark colors.

Jonathan S. - Jeep

This is a picture called Jeep. I took this picture in a parking lot. I edited this picture by brightening it a little and then lowering the shadows. This picture could’ve been better if I were to add a little bit of light on the other side of the car.

Reagan M- Streetlight

The title of this photo is “Streetlight”. This photo was taken at my house, on September, 24th, one night after school. It was taken with my Dad’s Canon EOS Rebel T5i. I edited this picture by darkening the background and adding a red filter over the picture to increase the color of the brick. I think this picture could be better if the actual light was a little clearer. I think this picture turned out really good!!

Cam M - Bessemer City Limits

The title of this picture is “Bessemer City Limits” This was taken in Bessemer, Alabama. During the day on August 24, 2019. I took this picture with my Canon Rebel T6. I edited it by adding a sun flare in photoshop, and adding some saturation. I think it could be better if the sun flare was real.

Caleb S- My Style

I picked this photo because I liked the angle I took it at and the quality of the photo. It represents my style. I made the photo black and white and increased the definition. I also gave it a light vignette. I took this with my Nikon D3400. I took this pho on my back porch in the evening. This photo could be improved with more light exposure.

Jaiya D- Spooky Season

This picture was taken at a festival in October in Georgia. It was taken with my Canon Eos T7i. I edited by increasing the saturation and contrast a little in order to add more depth to the picture. It could be better if I blurred the background and increased the saturation a little more in order to enhance the colors a little bit more.

Madelyn S- Ren

The picture shown was taken in the court yard on a partly cloudy day, perfect lighting for what she was wearing. It was taken with a canon rebel T6. I increased the brightness and altered the contrast just a tad bit. Maybe have a different type of lighting if I could ever retake it.

Jacob V- Flowers

This image was taken earlier this year in my front yard. Taken with my Nikon D70s, I edited this photo with desaturation and hue changes. I used the 3 way division because the sudden change seemed cool to me.

Taha M- Ant

The tile of this picture is “Ant”. It was taken inferno of my house before sunset. I took it using my Nikon camera. I edited it using the chrome filter, sharpness, and hue/saturation to adjust the picture. It could be better if I increased took the brightness level on the rocks.

Savannah H- Sky

I took this outside of my apartment and maybe 3 weeks ago and I took it with my iPhone 8 plus and I edited it by darkening the image and giving it a good filter and it was taken around sunset towards the end of the day.

Grace T - Cicada Shell

This picture was taken at night in my front yard with a Cannon camera. I took this picture by holding two flashlights on the left and underside of the bug to make its hollow insides show. I think this picture was one of my hardest to take because I had to hold the flashlights and the camera at once but thankfully it turned out just as I hoped it would. I edited the photo just a little bit by turning up brightness and the saturation.

Kendall O- Believed to Be Gods

The title of this image is “Believed To be Gods”. This was taken in my bedroom and the subject of this photo was of my favorite book titled The Ocean at the End of the Lane and one of the pages mentioned children and Gods and I remembered annotating it because of how powerful the line came across. The picture was taken with a Nikon Coolpix L820 along with some Christmas lights and my phone flashlight to help support the lighting of the photo. It could be better if there was more lighting in the photo to make the words of the book pop. Maybe if I also had more time to edit.

Samuel M - Orange Flowers

This is my photo Orange Flowers. I feel like I did this most editing on this photo. There was so much I had to do such as cropping, doing color saturation, the shadows and highlights, thought I had to choose another photo. The more time I spent with I became more satisfied with it. I should have choose a different position with it since the biggest problem was the sun.

Amira H - George

I took this photo of my little brother George. I took this photo with my iPhone. This photo represents my siblings and I have many memories with my brother. I was there when he was born and we went through things together. I edited it by putting a filter and increasing the brightness. I took this outside my house a month ago. (Don’t post this one)

Kay P- Night Light

I call this image Night Light. I took this for the Night & Day project. I was really into the way the light made it look like there was sunlight in complete pitch black darkness. It probably would’ve turned out better if I tried playing around more with light and color but I was happy with the result.

Ramzi M - Snow

Rams Maflahi, I took this photo with my old iPhone seven. I took the picture 2 years ago when it snowed. The subject is the man with mergers from the tree in the background.

Carlos G.- Downtown

With this picture I Changed and played with the background to bring out the characteristics of the church. Like on the roof and where the bel is located, many features seem to stand out more with the whimsical purple sky. The green trees complement well with the color of the church.

Katie G- A Girl, Her Cat, and Her Bestie

This photo is called “A Girl, Her Cat, and Her Bestie”. This was taken in my friends room on September 2nd, 2019. This was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel. I upped the brightness and sharpened it. It could be better if I had put a filter or my friend was more in the frame. This is a candid environmental photo and it is one of my favorites.

Nicolle D- The Rolling Man

This picture was taken at railroad park on January 5, 2019. It was taken with my Canon EOS 700D.
This picture was edited by color, light and was cropped. This is my good friend Santi, he likes skateboarding a lot.

Chris A - Flag

The title of this photo is “Flag”. This picture was taken next to Firebirds near the Riverchase Galleria. It was taken with my Canon EOS Rebel t2i. I edited this photo by increasing the contrast and brightness a little bit, I then cut out the flag and duplicated it and turned the opacity down and moved it over a little bit. I wish I could have gotten the picture while the flag was up in the air more.

Kenyon S- Through the Looking Glass

I named this photo “Through the Looking Glass” because of the edit I did to his eyeglasses. It was taken in my friend’s room October 1st in the evening. The picture was taken with my Nikon D5600 and it was edited by making the hue more red around his face making his face a little warmer and adding a photonegative filter over the lenses of his glasses. The photo could have been better if I took my camera wasn’t on manual mode since it automatically raised the ISO and therefore lowered the quality of the photo.

Savannah P-R- Band Sunset

The title of this image is “Band Sunset”. It is named that because I took this photo at the first band competition performance I had and when we were about to preform this was what I saw and I decided to take a picture of it. I took this with my phone and messed around with colors and saturation. This is one of my favorite photos.

Cameron Y- Magenta

This image is called Magenta.  I named it so because of all the different pinks and purples are present in it.  It was originally going to be used for the Night and Day project but ended up editing it to be used for something else.  It was taken in my backyard of my neighbor’s rose bush with my Nikon D50.  I edited in it photoshop by adding a gradient diagonally through the middle of the center rose.  I made one side darker and more purplish and the other side was more colorful and pinker.  I really love this image a whole lot and I think it might be my best.

Merit O- Sam

The name of this picture is Sam. I look this picture in the preserve when some and I were having a photo shoot. I took this picture with my canon reble T5. I edited this picture by making it just a little more saturated and making the color of his shirt pop more. I also put a filter over the picture so it wouldn’t be so green tented.

Eduardo M- Adventure In Night

The tittle of this picture is Adventure In Night. It was taken like about a month ago in downtown Birmingham Alabama. It was taken with my DSH Sony camera. I edited it though photos app I think the picture was good but I just added a fade filter to give it a little bit more of brightness. I think it could be better with a better background but overall I think its a great picture of my friend name Jose Flores Rodolfo.

Abdul M- Flower

This picture was taken in my backyard

Trey B- Haustmorgnar

I call this image, Haustmorgnar in Icelandic, meaning, Autumn Mornings. I really like this image and thought it would make for a great photo blog for your opinions! I took this image at my house on October 16th. For this image, I increased the vibrance, the definition, and decreased the highlights. I think perhaps if the trees in the bottom right and left of the picture were bigger, or if I had taken this image from a different spot, it could’ve been better. I hope you guys enjoy my photograph!

Vlad S -Moon by the Beach

I took this picture in the summer when I was in clearwater. I saw the perfect shot so I just snapped a pic real quick. I like this picture a lot , I think it looks pretty good. All did to this picture was make it brighter. It was just small little touches nothing big.

Amari W- na-A-ture

The title of this image is na-A-ture. It’s a play on the fact that the sticks are in the shape of an “A”. This picture was taken outside my apartment complex. I took this picture with a VIVITAR DVR 786HD. I edited it by increasing the light and contrast. This picture could be better if the camera was able to capture more details of the sticks.

Evelyn C - Ducks

The title of my image is Ducks, yes I know it should be geese but I like it as ducks better, and I took it at Aldridge Gardens when I visited with my family some weeks ago. This was taken with my Canon Rebel T5 camera. I brightened the image and added some contrast. I believe it could have been a better picture if I focused some more of the goose’s head that was dipped in the water. But besides that I feel happy and satisfied by it and by being able to get a shot of a goose drinking water.

Sasha C- shutter speed

Shutter speed, it was taken at the bridge on the highway not far away from my house. the picture was taken at night. It was taken with my Nikon D3200. I changed the filter and make the picture more clear. It could be better if I make the road more visible.

Jack J. - El Diablo

This image is titled “El Diablo” and it was taken on my back deck with my Canon Rebel. I edited this image by selecting the skateboard and adjusting the hue and making the background black and white. This image could be better if the camera wasn’t taking the picture at an angle.

Julien F - Dragonfly

I took this photo which I called Dragonfly during the about me project in the first nine weeks. I used my camera and edited it both in photos and Photoshop. In photos I turned up the saturation while in Photoshop I color contrast it. I am really proud of this image since it took multiple tries on getting the right angle of the dragonfly while making sure to not scare it. There isn’t much I would change about the photo and I had a fun time taking and editing the photo.

Mariana G- Green Eyes

I shot this photo at my house in August 25th. I took it with my iPhone Xs. I edited it by putting a faded filter over it and by adjusting minor details. It could be better if some areas of the photo were not over-exposed.

Emaleigh S- Utah Beauty

This photo was taken in Utah over the summer where we stayed in Tipis for the night. It was taken with my iPhone XS and it edited it using VSCO filters. I made the image darker and I added grain to the picture as well as enhancing the colors and sharpness. The image would be better if the tipi was outlined a little more and more visible, but I made it look like shadows on purpose. Overall, I think this picture is pretty cool.

Abby G - Pink Sky

For the title of tis photo I just decided on ‘Pink Sky’. I took this photo in my backyard when I was messing around with my zoom. This was taken with my Nikon Coolpix l840. I edited this in photoshop by playing around with the vibrance, saturation, brightness, and contrast. I feel like the composition could have been better and the focus could have been better. I also feel like I could have waited a bit or moved to lessen the strength of the sun.

Jiya P- Untitled

I took this picture in our religious center. It was evening time when I took this picture. It was taken from mu camera, Canon Rebel EOS T7. I increase the amount of definition. I change it to Skin tone. I decrease the contracting brightness.

Anna K- Detroit

This Photo was taken on an airplane from Detroit. It's one of my favorite photos. I really like the colors and vibes. To edit this I increase the brightness and colors since this was a night shot. I also evened out the tones a little more. The only thing I would change about this photo is the fuzziness.

EthanF - Lights

This image is called lights.  I took it in my backyard, and I edited it by increasing the contrast and decreased brightness of the background.  I like this image because it was a challenge to get the line to come out as well as it did.  I took the image with my Nikon Easyshare z740.  I would have liked the image better if the line came out straighter.

Ethan N - Three Points

This was taken on a trail near my house. It was taken on October 16th. It was taken with my Nikon camera. I brightened the photo and added shadows. It would me better if I could make the leaves darker and the tree lighter.

Mitchell C - Untitled

This was taken in a park area September 21 and I took it with my 6d Canon camera body and used a 85mm 1.8. to shoot this image. I converted this image to a black and white to and drama and affect. There is a lot of height in this image and when I was editing this image I tried adjusting the crops but I found that it was the most visually appealing and interesting at the height that it was at. The background was created by lowering my aperture. I feel that the subject slightly blends into the background and that is probably due to it being a black and white. I also think that her eyes are a little dark and could have possibly lightened them a bit when I was editing it but overall I really love this image!
