Evelyn C - Quince Flowers

The title is Quince Flowers. This photo was taken on August 31st at the Annex of First Baptist Church of Pelham. It was taken with my phone (iPhone 8). Originally I was just going to enhance and contrast the colors and textures in the image, but I ended up taking another road. I played around with the adjustments until I got the picture to seem more like a painting rather than a picture. I feel like this could be better if I didn’t have the orange section of the background because it takes a bit of the color and attention from the flowers. But overall I like how it turned out.

Jerusha K- Music

This photo is called “Music”. I took this picture in the band room one afternoon I was pretty bored and I thought this would be a cool picture. I took this picture on my iPhone 6. I edited this picture by making it black and white to make the notes more bold and I added vignette to make it more soft. I could have made this picture better by using a better camera and cropping it a little more.

Anna K. - Stadium

To edit this photo I simply put the Mono filter on the photo and I loved the way it turned out. I love the contrast of light and dark tones in this photo. Since I go to Hoover I feel like this photo represents that perfectly.

Destiny P- Fireworks at Disney

This picture is of fireworks at Disney and I took it with a Sony Camera. I took it in August 2016. I didn’t edit it. I just used the fireworks setting. I like it the way it is.

Diana H-PhotoBlog 1

Title of my image is Photo Blog, I took this picture outside of my house, I think the time was 5pm. It was taken with my Powershot camera. I edited it by making the light darker and added a filter. I really  like the way this picture turned out.

Amira H- Sunset

Sunset was taken outside my house in September. I took this photo with my iPhone. Increased the light and definition. The photo quality could have been better. I really like the colors of the photo.

Nikhil B- Golf Course

The title of this image is "Golf Course." I took this photo at a stop sign near Hoover Country Club on August 31, 2019 at 3:14pm while I was coming back from my music class. This photo was taken using my Canon Powershot SD780 IS camera while I was sitting in mom's car. I used the crop tool to crop the antenna and the dashboard of the car. I also the brightness/contrast tool and Exposure tool to make the photo look a little brighter since I took this picture when it was a little bit cloudy. I wish I had taken the photo from outside the car with better lighting.

Emilee T- Summer Sunset

I titled this image “Summer Sunset” because it was a sunset that happened this summer. Pretty self-explainitory. It was taken in June at Tip Top in Bluff Park. I took this picture with my iPhone and I edited this picture by dimming the light. It could be better if I added some more color. I like this image because it captures one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen.

Antonio K- Mother and Son

The title of my image is “Mother and Son”. I took this picture on the first day of school at home. This Image was taken with my iPhone 7. I edited the image with the program we used I class on the iMac computer. I think the image would be better if my face was shown in the image. I also could have had a little more lighting.

Nicolle D- The Park

This picture was taken in downtown Birmingham, during the month of August with a Canon EOS 700D. This picture was lightly edited, Enhanced, decreased the light and put the color in its maximum capacity. This picture could have been if it was taken from a different angle

Abdul M- Lake View

It was taken outside my house I took this picture a couple weeks ago. It was taken on my camera I edited by making the picture a little darker. It could be better if I spent more time editing this pitcure.

Mitchell C - PhotoBlog1

Photo Blog 1 was taken on the steps leading up to my front door. I took this picture with my Eos 6d camera body and my 85mm 1.8. I pumped up the saturation, contrast, adjusted the cast, and adjusted the brightness in the Photos Application for this image. I do not think that this is a perfect image, but I cannot find anything that I would change in this image. I really enjoy photographing my brother and I love how cohesive all the colors are in the image.

Amari W- Trees' Heaven

The title of the image is “Trees’ Heaven”. I took this picture outside my apartment. This picture was taken with a viva tar dir 786hd camera. I edited it by increasing the light and the color of the image. The picture could be better if my hand was steadier, to reduce blur. I like this picture. I imagine this is what it would be like if trees went to heaven.

Abby G - PhotoBlog 1

For the title of this photo I just decided on ‘PhotoBlog 1’ as I didn’t have any ideas and didn’t want to use his name without permission. This photo was taken during lunch in the cafeteria at school. This was taken with my Nikon Coolpix l840. The way I got this effect was kind of a mistake. I was just goofing around with the retouch and decided to retouch an entire ceramic owl that was beside him. By retouching the entire owl at once it copied his face over so I decided to do it again thus creating a third head. The only other thing I did to edit this image was give it some saturation and a bit of color contrast. I personally think that this is the best I could do with this photo.

Alana W-Freedom

The title of this image is Freedom because that’s what the American flag symbolizes. I took this picture at the Aldridge Garden in Hoover on September 1, 2019. I took it with my Canon Rebel T6, and I edited this picture by adding the chrome filter, enhancing it, and I adjusted the lighting and coloring a bit. This picture could have been better if I captured it while the wind was blowing or if the flag was centered in the middle of the picture.

Bryson S- Ross Bridge

The image I’ve included is one I took over the last weekend. I had some free time, and drove to a trail near my house. The image is of a bridge that used to be used for railroads, but is now just a walking path. I really like this picture, as the cool colors in the leaves give it an almost refreshing feel. The bridge is naturally darker than the surroundings, giving it an interesting contrast. I took the picture with a slow shutter speed and a small aperture on a tripod to have a wider focus. Of pictures I’ve taken on my own time, this is definitely my favorite.

Kenyon S- Untitled

The image doesn’t have a name. It was taken in my room on august 25th. Its a picture of a vinyl record and more specifically sticky fingers by the Rolling Stones. It was edited by increasing the brilliance, color saturation, and color contrast while bringing the black point down. The picture could be better if taken with more light and at a more dynamic angle.

Katie G- Converse River

I titled this picture “Converse River”. I took it at the creek behind my house on September 4th 2019. I took it with my Canon camera. I din’t edit it at all. I could of framed it a little different to make it better. I love this picture because it’s at my favorite spot to go ad think, and my favorite pair of shoes are in it.

Emma H- Jack

This Is a dog I love so much named Jack. This was taken at my Nana’s house on Thanksgiving on my phone. I edited with by lighting the picture to see his other eye and cropped my arm out to focus on his head. This could be better by getting better lighting and getting more of his head in the picture. The dog in this image is one of the best things that has ever happen or came in to my life.

Julien F - Mushrooms

I took the photo I call Mushrooms June 24th on my iPhone6 in Lynn Alabama in a nature park. I turned up the saturation to make the colors stand out and then turned down the color contrast since it was slightly overexposed. I’m really proud of this picture but if I could retake it I would take the photo more to the right. There is a slight light glare to the right so by changing the camera angle it should get rid of that. When taking this picture I was on a hike with my mom and it was one of the first times I took time to get a picture. The other photos I got are some of my favorite and I had fun time taking them along with good memories with them. I really enjoy taking nature shots since it makes me get out of the house and sets me on an adventure.

Mariana G- Valentina

I took this photo in September 6th, 2019 when I went to Helena. The girl in the picture is my sister, Valentina. I took this picture with an iPhone Xs and edited it by putting a filter over it and by retouching little details to make some things stand out. It could be better if she looked more natural and not like she is being held hostage. :)

Jiya P- Untitled

I took this picture in my room on carpet. I forgot when I took this picture. It was taken with my Canon Rebel EOS T7.  I have my portrait mode on.  I edited this picture I add noir filter. Too make it darker I decrease Exposure, Shadow and brightness. I also increase the radius to make the edge lighter and little bit darker.

Emaleigh S- The Mittens

This photo was taken in Utah over the summer. It was taken with my iPhone XS and I edited it by bumping up the sharpness along with the colors to give the photo a more happy vibe. This image would be better if the sky was more clear.

Nema H- Arabic Desserts

The title of the photo is “Arabic Desserts.” This was taken at night in my house in August 2019. I used my Canon camera to take this picture and I like how this came out together. The way I edited this photo was by reducing the light a little and lowered the contrast to keep the colors of the table and the desserts close to each other. It could be better if I have showed the whole image and did not let some of the image to be cut out like the tea pot in the back. Since there is a lot of gold color in the picture, it gives it that shine that I really love. This image was the second image that I took on a camera but the overall I really like how it turned out.

Ali H- Music

This photo is called Music. It was taken on my desk with very low lighting. The was taken a couple weeks. It was taken with my Nikon camera. It could have been better if I found a better spot to take my photo with more room and a better background. I had to crop the photo so much because I had things apart of my background that were not needed so I had to zoom in. I liked this photo because of how much time and effort I spend on practicing or performing music.
