Sydney R - Walking on Rainbows and Sunshine

The title of the Image I picked is called “Walking on Rainbows and Sunshine. It was taken at school about 2 weeks ago for the Extreme Angle assignment. It was taken with my Nikon D3500. For editing I used the gradient tool to make a rainbow on the ground, made the gradient a mask, and erased around my sister’s feet to make the rainbow look like she was walking on it. I wish the people in the background weren’t there, or I wish I had cropped the picture a little bit closer before adding the rainbow.

Jamari j- Start

The title called Start. It was taken at the Birmingham Crossplex it was taken on one of our track meet days it was taken with my friends iPhone 11 I used contrast and shadows to edit it

Merit O- Untitled

This picture does not have a name. I took this picture at my aunts house during Christmas. I used my Cannon Rebel T5 to take this picture. I didn’t do much to edit the picture because I really like how it already looked. But I made it more saturated and I put a photo filter over it. I really like how it turned out so I don’t know what else I could do to make it better.

Ethan N- UpsideDown

I took this with my Nikon camera. It was taken in August at Gulf Shores. I edited the photo on photoshop and layered different photos. I took the top hat and the bottom half and used two different styles. My dad told me to take this photo and he thought it was cool.

Ali H- Picture This

This photo was taken at the start of school while I was on a church retreat. My friend and I both brought our cameras to capture the weekend. I cropped out a bunch of excess space that was in the photo and I brightened up the photo. I put this picture in the Nik Collection and used the color effects to turn this simple photo into something interesting.

Kevin T- Nature

The title of this image is called “Nature”. This was taken outside of my house on January 12.  I took this with my cybershop camera. I edited this by putting it into filter form to make it look like a drawing and messed around with the colors I like best with the picture. Then I made it into a kaleidoscope and change the brightness and saturation. I like how it turned out, but I think I could have made it better.

Destiny P.-The Beauty of Nature

I took it at my house on December 24, 2019.
I didn’t edited it because I like it the way I have it. I like the way it is because I want it to look natural and I didn’t want to add any saturation or brightness because it wouldn’t look natural after that. I feel like it would have been better if there weren’t any power lines in the picture. Or if I had adjusted the ISO on my Sony camera before taking it.

Ethan F - Disney Duality

This image is called Disney Duality.  It is a compound image created from two photos taken at Disney world, California.  I took both of them on my Kodak Z740.  Edited it by combining the two images, then feeding it through a handful of filters, before finally running it through the watercolor filter and fixing the brightness. I really like this image because of how well everything blended together.

Evelyn C - Chorizo

The title of my image is Chorizo. It was taken during the carne asada (Hispanic BBQ) that my family had for Thanksgiving. It was outside on our balcony where my dad was cooking the meat. I used my Canon EOS Rebel T5 camera. I used basic modifications like the brightness, contrast, and color along with the Viveza filter from the Nik collection. I believe it could have been better if more of the meat was focused but overall I like the focus it has and the details I managed to capture of the grease on the chorizo.

Kilee M - Distance

This photo is called Distance and is a picture of myself. I took this picture for the Night and Day assignment and used a low shutter speed and a flashlight in my bathroom to take this photo. I bumped up the saturation and left it with the motion blur.

Eduardo M- IMG Game

I took this picture with my Sony DSH Camera. It was taken October in a Football game against a quality team like IMG. I edited with some curves and a filter. I think it could’ve been better with Photoshop edition but overall I think it looks good the way I edited it.

Carlos G- Dreamy Eyes

This picture was taken in Chattanooga, I was very fascinated with how it turned out, all the small but yet impressive details of the fountain in between those blue eyes. I like how the little man is on top, bringing joy and life. I really enjoy this picture and I hope you do as well.

Kaleb E- Tip Top

I call this photo tiptop because that where I took the photo. I edited it by playing with the lighting, saturation, vibrance, color hue, and putting filters on it. I Would say this is one of my most interesting photos because of how the trees kinda look like lighting

Jonathan S. - Christmas on Coke

I took this picture of a coke can and the card on a reflected table. I took another picture of a Christmas tree to add on top of the coke can. I added a little dark areas around the can to make it have shadow look to make the picture smoother on the can.

Madelyn S- The Sky is My Canvas

This picture was taken on my iPhone. I wanted to compare pictures from my phone with my camera. I took a picture at the top of the hill when the sun was setting. I edited it to look like a painting inspired by an old cartoon. I toned, colored, and contrasted it before I messed with the curves and hues. Later on I got this unique picture. I think I could’ve made it clearer if the house weren’t there but instead trees or a river.

Colin D- Sun Camera

The title of this image is Sun Camera I know super creative. I took it in the photography room. I edited it by putting a sunset picture in the lens and giving the whole image a pine straw texture. I couldn’t have taken it any better it’s the best image of all time and I’m being humble.

Sasha C- Diana

This was taken in the couryard, It was taken with D3200, I edited by changing the filter and bringing more color to the image, It could be better if there was more light.

Jiya P- Flowers

Title of my image is Flowers. I took this picture in school courtyard. I don’t really remember when I took this picture. It was taken from Mr. Rigsby camera. I have flower mode on. It was edited in photoshop. I used Nik collection filter to edit this picture. It was kaleidoscope picture.

Kendall O- "Roots"

The title of this image is “Roots” which is a kaleidoscope. This image was taken in my backyard on a Saturday afternoon. The photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix L820. I edited this by cropping the image, adjusting the color and contrast, added some designs in the middle, and most of all turning the image into a kaleidoscope. It could be better if I captured the image a little higher and had more time to edit the image.

Bryson S- Treetar

I took this picture of my guitar earlier this year, but recently came back and edited it. using a color mask with a vivid color gradient and a saturation layer mapped to a picture of trees, It gave a very neat opal-esque color that I quite like. Overall it came out alright, I learned a lot about photoshop in the process of making it.

Savannah P-R- Colors

This picture is called colors. I edited this image heavily with Mr.Rigsbys helps. Combined layers. Added filters, and changed brightness. This image is special to me because it shows aspects of things I enjoy like a photo from when I was traveling, my friends, and music. I like this photo a lot.

Emma H- Flower Eye

These photos were taken at different times. The one of my eye was taken at my friends house on a warm day. The flower was also taken at her house. The woods were taken while I was camping. I put the photos together. I changed the color for my eye and flower to blind better. The woods in the back added detail and I loved how it looked so I kept it. I think maybe if it was less orange it could be better in my opinion.

Anna K- Views

I took this photo at a cabin in north Alabama. I love the background and how the sign goes so well with it. To edit this I turned the brightness up and the sharpness down.

Kenyon S- Arches and Leaves

The image I chose I call arches and leaves. The photo is a composite of 3 separate photos. The photo of my friend Jason was taken on November 5th 2019 inside a studio at school while the photo that contributes the arch and trees in the back ground was taken November 10th 2019 at the botanical gardens and the final image was of a tree in my back yard which was taken October 8th 2019. Every photo was taken with my Nikon D5600. I edited the photo by adjusting the hue and saturation of both the picture of the arch as well as the one of the tree. I cropped the image of the arch in half then duplicated and flipped the duplicate over the horizontal access and merged the two layers into one. Next the photo of Jason I used spot healing to remove acne, moles, and other unwanted marks and masked away the background. The when compositing the three photos the archway was set as a normal layer while the photo of Jason was set to the blending option of darken and the photo of a tree on to with hue. It could be better if I had a photo besides the tree which would be better suited to it.

Elijah B- Bike

The name of this picture is bike I took in late 2019 at my house. It was taken with an iPhone XR and the only editing I did was changing the lighting. I could have made it better by changing the contrast more.

Clay K- Sunset Sound

This picture was taken at one of my little brothers football games. It was at sunset. The picture was edited by adding “sound,” brightening the color and adding the vintage Efex.

Diana H- Flower

Title of my image is flower I took this picture on afternoon.I took it in a field. That field was next to my apartment.I eidt this picture by making the lighting more darker.I took this picture on my iPhone camera.I really like how this picture turned out.

Alex P - Human Galaxy

The title of the image I took is Human Galaxy because it kinda looks like a person floating in space with a galaxy around them. It was take November 19, 2019 in my photography class at Calera high school. It was taken with a NIKON D3200. I edited it with photoshop using brightness, contrast, levels, curves, and exposure settings but using no filter.  It could be better if the picture was originally darker so that the person in the photo was a little brighter but i was light in the background a little instead of dark. This is one of my favorite pictures I have taken and I am excited to share it.

Alana W- Silhouette

The title of this image is Silhouette, it was taken January 12, 2020 in my front yard and taken with my Canon Rebel T6 camera. I edited this image by adjusting the brightness and contrasts, changing the vibrance and adding a bit of the Viveza 2 filter from the Nik Collection. I think this image would have been better if there wasn’t a hard outline of my brother but I really like this image.

Mitchell C- Drifting

This title of this image is called Drifting. It was taken over the summer while my family was on a cruise. I had come across this on one of our excursion and thought it made an amazing subject. I had combines two pictures together, the rocks and the boat. I edited this with photoshop. I added grain on the original image, which is something I wish I had not done. I think that this image turned out very good and I am very pleased with the end result.

Trey B - Dog Moon Shadows

This picture was taken here in Birmingham. I over layered a picture of my dog and a picture I took of the moon. Then I lowered the opacity, used the layer “difference” in photoshop, cropped the image, blurred the background a bit, and saturated it a bit as well. I’m quite proud of this image and how it turned out. I feel like it could’ve perhaps been a little better with what is occurring in the background. Overall though, I’m happy with how this image turned out.

Amari W- Alter Ego

I call this picture “Alter Ego”. The reason I call this “Alter Ego’ is simple. What I am about to tell the person reading this is shocking and you should be sitting down for this…
I am Batman. The picture of my face without the mask is who I am on the outside in order to throw people off my trail. I took this picture with Mr. Rigsby’s camera, which he so kindly provided.

Kaitlyn R- Composite Guitar

This picture is called Composite Guitar. This was taken at different places due to the fact that it is 3 different image combinded together. I took most of these picture with a Canon camera. I edited this image by combining them together in Photoshop and mainly had change the color and the brightness of the image. It could be better if I made the image blend better, like for example the colors.

Cam M - Best Friend

This photo s called “Best Friend”. This is a picture of my best friend. I took the picture of her at her house in Hueytown, Alabama on November 27, 2019. This was taken with a Canon Rebel T6. I edited it by lightening the background a little bit in photoshop. I think it could be better if her face was lit up more.

JulienF - The Biltmore

I took this picture of the Biltmore mansion during Thanksgiving break. When editing the image I messed with the sky. I messed with the hue and saturation on the sky using control points. I’m really proud with how the image looks and how the sky now has a purple look to it.

Sophia C. - Goodtimes

This Picture is named Good times, It was taken with my iPhone of the deck design on my longboard. It is a kaleidoscope image and it was edited by adding two different Color Efex and I blurred the words on the deck. It could of been better if it was blurred less and maybe change the colors of the image, but overall I like this picture.

Emilee T- Samford University Conservatory

I took this picture in September at the Samford University Conservatory. I took this with my iPhone 8plus. To edit this image, I played around with replacing the colors and increasing the contrast and brightness. I could’ve spent more time with the lighting in this picture or taken it from a better position. I really like how this turned out, I think it’s really neat.

Jerusha K- K i l e e

This picture is called “ K i l e e” . This picture is part of my composite assignment. Took these pictures in the studio for the portrait assignment. I edited this pictures by layering a black and white photo and a colored one to give it a slight glitch effect to the composite. I also added to more pictures in the corners to show different sides of the face. I could have made this picture better by making the left side of the face not so dark.

Abdul M- Butterfly

This was one of my Kaleidoscope images that I edited. This was a picture of a leaf I took on my phone in the courtyard.

Jayla F-BAE

I titled this image BAE. its a composition of a sunset outside of my house another picture I took of a heart on my mirror and the outline of me and my boyfriend on my birthday. All of these pictures were taken with my iPhone XR. I edited there 3 pictures differently but were all put together in photoshop. the way I would make this better would be to fix my boyfriend leg, I took of too much.

Jack J. - Sail to the Moon

This image in entitled “Sail to the Moon.” This image is a composite so each picture was taken at a different time and place but all three pictures were taken with my Canon Rebel. I edited the image by making the moon image brighter and then mixing it with an image of Jilian and of clouds at sunset. The image could be better if the moon wasn’t so yellow and if it was more grey.

Vlad S- Blinding Lights

I took this picture in New York when I went with my family over the break. I just like the shot and I used my iPhone 11 to take it. It was great.

Madelyn S- Nova

This picture was taken on my couch at my place super late at night.
This picture was taken with a canon Eos camera
I enhanced the color of her eyes and made them a little bit lighter and I also brightened her tongue just so it can stand out from her natural black and white coat.
Maybe her being outside wth natural lighting would’ve enhanced the color of her eyes more naturally than coloring it but overall, I love the end result. It also made an excellent Christmas present for her father (owner).

Kameron M - Invisible

The title of the selected image is “Invisible” and it was taken at an abandoned house in Montgomery, Alabama on December 16th. I took it with my Canon T7 Rebel and I think it could be better if I had edited.

Madeline P- Color of the Sky

I took this picture when I was going out with my best friend. I took this picture with my phone. To edit this image I use a little bit of brilliance and I put a little bit of color intensity.

Savannah P-R Jakes Suit

The title of the image is “Jakes Suit” .This was taken on a brick wall outside of my apartment. I took this picture with my iPhone 8.I edited by getting rid of blemishes and adjusting the tone and cropping it. I could have had better lighting in this photo.

Kara A- Evie

This image is titled Evie because that is her name. It was taken in pell city at my family lake house. It was taken in the front of our house in the lake. It was taken with my Nixon Coolpix a10. I edited this picture by turning the brightness down little bit. I cropped the image to focus more on the subject. It could be better by me adding a small filter. This is a picture of my adopted sister Evie. She is jumping off of a inner tube on Logan Martin lake.

James L- Chill

This photo I took of the clouds was last year , the reason I took this picture because its a very chill picture and you can look at this picture just think about everything or anything

Amari W- Promiscuos Skeleton

My photo is called “Promiscuous Skeleton”. I call it that because as you can see, the skeleton is covering its private area with a cloth. Make no mistake; my skeleton is no skank. I took this picture with my Visitor DVR 786 HD. This scantily clad skeleton was found in my Art Teacher’s balcony.
