Meagan M- Fire Leaf

This is a composite picture. One picture is of a leaf on the street. The second picture is of the sky which i edited to be bright red. And the last picture is of tree leaves in the top right corner. I loved the colors in this picture. It could be better if there wasn’t just a white void up top.

Peyton H- Princes

This photo is named “princes” because it reminds me of my friend who goes by that name. I took this picture walking to the bus stop with my camera , the rainbow caught my eye and it had to be captured. This photo was edited wit a gray and blue selective color, also exposer, saturation, vibrance, and offense. I am happy with this photo and its peaceful vibes….

Jakelyn R - The Eye

This picture is called “The Eye”
I took this picture a month ago or so of Issac. I took this picture with my Canon ESO D60.
I edited this picture by turning up the blue/green saturation, and clearing up his acne. I think this picture would be better if that black side of his eye was like cropped out, or if it was from a different angle, also if i focused the picture more on his eye. Otherwise than that i still do like this picture.

Hannah W- Fire in the Sky

The title of this image is “Fire in the Sky”. It was taken about two months ago from my upstairs window. It was taken with a Nikon D-3100. I edited it by increasing the darkness around the window so the focus would be on the sun and frost on the windows. It could be better if I zoomed in on the window more to have the sun fill the picture.

Desha R- Glory

The title of the selected photo is glory. this is a Composite photo. The first photo i used was taken in Japanat a peace sanctuary , the second picture which is my face was taking from the night and day assignment a while back, the third photo is a huge flower taking in Japan, and the last is a picture or a dragon fly taking in a random persons front yard. I compiled all the photos to gather and blended them to make one. all these photos where taken with a Sony Alpha 5000 digital camera.

Natalie S- Pink Days

This picture was taken outside of my house during the beginning of the school year. It was taken with my digital camera. I edited this picture by adding contrast and increasing the saturation. I also made it a little bit darker so the colors in the picture would stand out. I could have added less contrast so it wouldn’t be so sharp. I like how the back of it is blurred so the viewer can focus more on the flowers and all of its colors. Overall I like the picture because of the orange, green and pink colors.

Braxton B- Lake Reflection

This photo is titled Lake Reflection, I took this photo while i was was Tuscaloosa. I edited this picture by changing the entire image to black and white, i then restored color to the trees and the reflection of the trees. if i had a chance to take the picture the picture again i would have gone a different location where the bars on the left wouldn’t have been seen or to a location where i was able to get a reflection of the nearby dock.

Allie B- By the Boot

This picture was taken in the preserve by the boot about 3 months ago

Bailey D- Red

This photo is called red. It was taken in October at the school in the parking lot. I edited it by cropping it and adjusting the contrast a little. It could be better if The trunk could have been a little more in focus.

Cole M - Refraction

The title of the image I chose is “Refraction”. The image consists of a suspended glass ball. Even though I used this picture in the reflection assignment, this image is a refraction; however, the clarity of the refraction within the ball allows reflection to be seen as well.

For editing, I rotated the image 180 degrees. I did this in order to show how the refraction also flips the image 180 degrees. In addition, I brightened the image and gave it a yellow tint in order to create a sunny atmosphere.

Chris B- Glowing

I took this picture with the help of Derek Tucker in the preserve. I did a composite and put the two in the background into the original photo.

Zoey E.- Pensacola

This is a picture I took about 2 years ago when i went to Pensacola over the summer. I really like how the bird was just standing there peacefully and how the sun ,made the sky more dramatic. I used a vintage filter. brightened it, and sharpened the image. It could have been better, to me, if i focused more on the bird.

Matthew E- Reflection

This is a photo of a bird bath in my backyard. I took this photo for the reflection assignment. I edited the image by added contrast and fading the image a bit.

Kelvin W- Sky Flower

This is a composite photo. I mixed 3 photos into one. I also put a darken layer.

Brianna S- NYC

The title of this image is “NYC”. I took it this past December while in New York for my mom’s 50th birthday. It was taken with my Nikon D3100. I edited it by adjusting saturation and the exposure, and sharpening some areas. It could be better if I had used a tripod so that there was better focus in the areas I wanted it to be.

Zohra P- Yellow Lilly

This picture was taken by me when I went to the Zoo. It was taken by my song cyber shot camera. I edited this by making the background dark and the flower a little bright from the top.I also contrasted it a big and put dark/light effects on the leafs. Overall I like how it turned out.

Maria F- Mexican Street

Over the break i went to Mexico to visit my family and i took this picture, personally I really like how the church looks and how the unlighted is hitting it. I think this picture could be better if i didn’t  had all those cords distracting the viewer.Overall i really like how this picture came out, i did edit the sky to keep its blue color but changes the levels for the rest of the picture to make it lighter

Carolina M- Natural Beauty

I took this picture of my friend Jordan when we did the portrait pictures and I edited it during exam week to give as a gift. I added two different black and white layers to get the right color. Well, the right black and white scale i guess. I used this picture because she looked more natural in this one than she did looking straight into the camera. I really liked the results of the picture.

Brianna S. - Christmas Morning

The title of this image is “Christmas Morning” because I took it that morning when I was taking my dog for a walk along a river walk for the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa at my dad’s apartment. It was taken with a NikonD7100 and all I did to edit it was enhance the colors a little bit. I think it could be better if it wasn’t so foggy and you could see a bit more of the tree lines in the back, but i’m happy with the way it turned out.

Ashley B- Flowered Ceiling

This is one of the composites i have been working on in class. the first image put in was a picture of the ceiling in Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. I took this when i went to see One Direction and 5 Seconds Of Summer in concert there. The second image is a photo i took for a previous photography assignment, and it is just a bundle of flowers. The third image is two burning candles, which were also taken for a previous assignment. I layered them all together and made a few adjustments, and then created this.

Nick A - Bullet

This photo is called “Bullet.” This was taken a long time ago on 280. It was taken with a Canon 7D. I did simple adjustments and then used motion and radial blur for the background and wheels. It this photo was taken again, I would make sure it was not as grainy.

Jackson H- Flowers

This photo was taken in August with a fiji xp camera. I took this photo in the South Shades Crest Elementary courtyard. When editing i increased the amount of pink with the color balance adjustment and decreased the brightness. I liked this photo because each flower has a different shade of pink. I think the photo would be a bit better if I had taken it from just a bit farther back so that i could have gotten every flower completely in the picture.

Lara M - Untitled

This picture doesn’t really have a name. I don’t know when I took each of the pictures in this but they were probably in the past 1-3 months. i just took body parts and objects from my other pictures and combined it into this one picture. It probably could have been a ton better if I played around with the colors more. I took it with my Nikon d3200

Lauren H- Blind City

The title of the selected image is Blind City. This picture was taken by the Statue of Liberty in NYC on December 12th, 2014. this picture was taken with my iPhone 6. I edited this photo by bumping up the contrast, saturation, and turned down the brightness of this photo. This photo could be better by taking it on an actual camera with a higher quality.

Amaan L- Lights Out

This image was taken in my room a couple weeks ago. i took it with my nikon d5300. and edited it in iPhoto. I made the picture darker and turn the saturation up a little bit. i think the picture could look better by being more centered.

Alondra P.- Brillant Buddha

This picture was taken on a weekend at a store called, Marshall’s. This was taken with the camera from my iphone4s. I edited it on my own phone by using the two bought apps; RetricaPro and Facetune. I used Facetune first, to deepen the detail so it would be more noticeable. After, I added a filter from RetricaPro. I don’t know how it could be better, I really am satisfied with the outcome of this picture. The angle and how the main focus is well detailed.

Amber S- Pink Petals

This picture was taken in my backyard a couple months ago for the color assignment. I took the picture with my digital camera. I increased the opaque settings and brightened the contrasts to brighten the pink. I also sharpened the picture to make the overall image better. I think I could have included more of the background and the picture would be better.

Alice B- Tree on a Table

The title of this photo is Tree on a Table because it is a tree’s image that is reflecting off of a glass table. This was taken on my back porch on a cloudy day. This was a photo for the reflection assignment. This was taken with a Nikon L830. I brightened this picture and gave it more saturation because this was a dark picture at first. I also increased the contrast on the table so the tree’s reflection is more visible. I could have wiped the table a bit more and blowed all the leaves out the way because those are some distracting things in the photo. Also the chair should have been moved out the way. Overall, I like this photo very much.

Austin K- Inside Red Tree

I named this image inside a tree. This picture was taken at my mothers house in the tree in the back yard. It was taken with a cannon powershot A4000 IS. I just sharpened the picture up to edit t and that was about it.I feel it could b better if it was a taller tree and if it focused a bit better but overall I like it.

Bella M- Candle in the Wind

The landscape of this picture was taken at Tip Top Grill in Bluff Park and the candle and lights were taken at Church of the Highlands and they were both taken over Christmas break. I originally had just taken a picture over the edge of Tip Top and edited it and another picture during the candlelight service at my church. After a while i decided to make it a double exposure picture it and put the candle picture on top of the landscape. This could be better if there was not so much sky at the top and if the candle was a tad smaller.

Crossan R- Misty Mountains

The title of this image is Misty Mountains. I took the picture of my notebook at the preserve last summer and the picture of the mountains was from the internet. I took this with my Nikon d60. To edit this I had to blend the two pictures together using photoshop and color match the notebook and the rest of the bottom picture so they were more coherent. It could be better if the colors matched a bit better but I tried the best I could.

Alex H- Bike

This picture is called “Bike” and I took it in my neighborhood a couple weeks ago. I took it with my phone. My friend is the person on the bike. I like this picture because of the perspective it is taken in. In photoshop, I cropped the image and lightened some of the colors.

Blake S- Peak 6

I took this photo over the break on peak 6 at Breckenridge, CO.

Jordan H- Capturing the Sun

The title of the image I selected is “Capturing the Sun.” This picture was taken at Vulcan about a week after school started. I took this with my Canon DSLR camera. This picture looked a lot different before I edited it. The girl was wearing a hairband on her wrist, her skin was a lot more pale, and she had a watch tan line on her other wrist. Also, the colors were duller, so I saturated the picture a lot, and boosted the contrast. I reduced the exposure a little and added an orange and pink photo filter. This picture could be better if I really took the time to precision edit out the hairband and the tan line. If you look closely you can see the little lines where I blurred it.

Rachael M- Over Nevada

I took this picture with my iPhone on the plane coming home from California over winter break. We were flying over Nevada when I took this picture. i like this picture because of the different colors and the lines going through the desert.

Maricela J- Hoover Botanical Garden

This picture was taken in the Hoover Botanical Garden on November 11. I took this picture with my canon t5i. To edit the picture I added some brightness and contrast along with some saturation. I also used the warming filter to give the trees more color. I wouldn’t make any changes.

Derek T - Alabama Railways

My photo is titled Alabama Railways and was taken somewhere in McCalla, Alabama on January 4th, 2015 around midday. I set the f-stop to about half way closed to get the mid tones of the sky. I made the black in the clouds more vibrant and took out a car on the road with photoshop.

Anyul M- Cut Down Tree

This is a picture of my little brother i took it with my Nikon camera . i made him lay down on a cut down tree so i could take the picture. i edited the picture using photoshop and a black and white filter i cropped down the picture because there was a lot of empty space.

Ben D- Ollie

This photo is titled “Ollie”. This photo was taken at Battleground skatepark over the winter break. I took this photo with a canon t5i using a Opteka 6.5mm fisheye and 2 Altura L-TTL Wireless flashes. I pointed one flash at a 60 degree angle below the skater to illuminate the underside of the board and his face. I then used a second flash on the ground to the right of the photo to illuminate the rest of the skater and put more focus on the rider. I set the flash on the right to a longer flash time than the main flash in order to eliminate any shadows of the skater and to fill in the space better. Unfortunately, i forgot to use a diffuser on the right flash, so the skater still has a slight shadow behind him.  I edited this photo by adding a black and white filter since the photo was slightly too warm at the bottom and too cold at the top. I also brightened the shadows slightly.

Abbey S- Field

I took this picture of my dog with my iPhone 5 this summer in North Carolina. It’s my dads favorite place so I went with him this one time and it was so pretty I had to take a picture. I wish the fog in the back ground in the mountains wasn’t there and I wish I could have taken it on my canon so it would be better quality but overall I still think it is cool.

Nancy N.- Fun and Friends

This photo is a picture of a polaroid I took at a field trip I went on with JCO. The photo was taken at Red Mountain Park with my iPhone 5s. Photographed are some of my fiends from JCO. I like the rustic background of the dirt, I think it gives dimension to the photo. If I were to change the photo, I would probably take it with my actual camera to ensure less blurriness in the photo.

Meagan M.-Mickey

The title of this picture is Mickey. This is a picture of my baby Mickey asleep. The only thing done to this picture was to make it black and white. The only thing I would change about the picture would be to back up a little to have more of him in the shot.

Maricela J- Michigan

I took this picture on September 1, in Michigan. I took it with my iPhone 5s. To edit it, I added some brightness, contrast, saturation to the greens, and used the underwater filter and lowered the density.

Joicelyn R- Mirrors Never Lie

I titled this image “Mirrors Never Lie”. I chose this title because it’s a reflection of my camera in the mirror and there is a slight reflection in the lens of the camera that can be seen in the photo. I took the photo over Thanksgiving break while I was sitting in the car.

Emily D- One Way Or Another

This picture is called One Way Or Another. This was taken a while back downtown using my iPhone 5. I edited this by increasing the lighting, color balance, and exposure. This picture overall could be better if i was at a higher location to get the sign in more of a head’s on view instead of as if i’m looking up. However, I do really like what i’ve done with the image especially compared to how it started.

Christy N- Cozumel

This photo was taken in Cozumel, Mexico earlier this year. I took it with my Samsung NX2000 and edited it on photoshop. I brightened up the image and sharpened it to bring out the thin thread hanging over the water. If you look closely, you can spot it. I think that if there was more lighting to begin with, I wouldn’t need to brighten it as much as I did, nor sharpen it to get the little details to be seen. It’s a picture I like to see considering most of us don’t see things like this everyday.

Rachel P- Carlton

This picture is of my little brother Carlton. It was taken in my backyard when he was playing football (reason for the football helmet he’s wearing). It was taken with a regular Nikon point-and-shoot camera. All I did to edit this picture was put a black and white filter on it and take away the filter on his eye (that is his real eye color), and reduce the saturation slightly.

Jordan H- New York

The title of my image is “New York.” I took this over Thanksgiving break when my family and I traveled to New York. I took this photo with my Canon Rebel t3i and took a picture of my mom taking a picture. I edited this on VSCO cam and added it to my profile. I sharpened it, saturated it, and darkened the exposure a bit. It could be better if I real steadied my hand when snapping the picture and I could’ve edited it in Photoshop.

Cole M- Autumn Colors

The title of this image is “Autumn colors”. This picture was taken in my backyard in the first week of November. For the image, I used my iPhone 5 camera. For editing, I increased the contrast in order to magnify the details of the leaves and grass. In addition, I increased the reds in the image in order to let the color of the leaves stand out. I chose to edit in this way because the picture was used in the pick a color assignment. This picture could be better if the largest leaf in the front of the picture was not blurry.

Carmen V- Serenita

This picture is of one my friends Jasmine. I took this picture in my backyard and I took it a few weeks ago. I took it with my Canon EOS Rebel T5. I edited by putting the black and white font and then I colored in the red. It would look better if I would have focused it more.
