Derek T - Alabama Railways

My photo is titled Alabama Railways and was taken somewhere in McCalla, Alabama on January 4th, 2015 around midday. I set the f-stop to about half way closed to get the mid tones of the sky. I made the black in the clouds more vibrant and took out a car on the road with photoshop.

This is a nice picture, Derek! I like the vibrancy you put on the picture in Photoshop. The focus on the tracks makes this an appealing picture. The leading lines make this a nice touch with the rails and the wood underneath. I like this picture because it shows a nice way of transportation in Alabama.

Awesome picture! Good job on editing the picture. I really like how the color of the sky turned out and seeing the leading line of the rails.

This is a great picture, the vibrant colors from the clouds merge with the darker colors of the tracks that have a nice blend. The detail that is found on the tracks is great and I really like the composition of the photo.

this photo is great! i love the purples and blues in the sky. also i thought it was cool how you got rid of a car on the road. i tried to find where i thought you took it out of but i couldn't tell. so good job editing that out. And finally i love how the track curves a little at the end. it gives it the feel of going on forever because you can no longer see it. Overall it's a really good image!

Amazing photo! The depth of it seems endless with the railroad and the trees way in back. I never would have known there was a car in the original image, because it just looks so natural! I love how the vibrance and all the colors really come out, especially on the railroad. But my favorite part is the sky!! All the different shades of blue and light purples and a lost treys come together to make an amazing shot. Really great job!!

This picture has really good depth and the leading lines make it looks like it goes on forever. The sky looks awesome with the clouds hiding the sky making it have a glow effect.

While I would make a few minor changes, I enjoy this picture a lot. The way the tracks seems as if it is coming out of the picture makes the viewer feel as if they are traveling on the track themselves. The main change I would make would be to decrease the contrast on the sky. By lowering the contrast, more details would be obtained and the picture would look more realistic.

This is a quality photo. I love the contrast between the sky and ground.

This is an awesome photo! i really like how the sky looks and how a lot of the focus is on the railroad, although there is still so much detail to be found in other places.

I like this picture, the purple clouds look very cool and I like he focus on the train track. the vibrancy brings out good color and the contrast sharpens the picture very well.

Derek, what a great picture. The exposure is great. I like how the the whole picture is in focus and the railroad track leads into the distance. I also like how the railroad is centered. I really like this photo because i feel like it tells a story. Great work!
