Meredith V- Suitcases

This photo is titled “Suitcases”. It was taken at the Moss Rock Festival a few Saturdays ago. I took this photo with my Nikon camera. I edited this photo my cropping it in half, boosting the contrast, and increasing the sharpness. This photo would look better if there wasn’t a chair in the background.

Logan M- Blue Vial

I took this shot on a white backdrop in my house late in the evening. I took it with my Nikon D5100. I didn’t do much to edit it. With Mr Rigsby’s help I changed the hue lightly and sharpen the glass. I probably should have used a slighter more open aperture to get a better focus on the whole vial. Overall I love this Photo.

Ashley G- The Bright Umbrella

I took this picture on my deck on Veterans Day. I took the picture with my Canon Rebel t3. When i edited the picture, I made the red more vibrant and made the background black and white. I like the picture as it is so I wouldn’t change anything about it.

Aleena B- Seaside

This image is entitled Seaside and it was taken in the Hoover courtyard during the portraits photo shoot. I took this photograph with my Nikon d80 and I retouched her face with iPhoto and bumped up the contrast and lighting to bring out the white on each side of her. It could’ve been a bit better if her camera strap weren’t in the way but I still love this picture because it’s sort of peaceful almost.

Diggy B- Royalty

The title of this picture is Royalty. This picture was taken for the Portrait project, and it was taken in Mr. Rigsby’s photo studio. This was taken with his Pentax K100D camera. I edited it by doing some facial touch-ups, and toyed a little with the brightness and contrast. I also sharpened the globe up a little bit, as well as reduced noise from the picture over all. It could be better if her right arm was more in focus. I really like this picture, and the concept behind it.

Allison S- Seagrove

The title of this photo is Seagrove. I took this photo while I was visiting Seagrove beach with my family this past summer. It was taken with my iPhone 4s camera. To edit it, I added contrast and vibrance. I really love this photo so I wouldn’t want to change anything about it.

Hannah G- Yellow

This is a picture of a yellow flower in my backyard that I photographed with my canon rebel camera. To edit this photo, I first started by increasing the saturation slightly in just the yellows within the image. Then i slightly increased the brightness and turned the vibrance all the way up. It could be better if the petals were all the way in focus as well.

Shelby A- Red

The title of this image is Red Leaf. It was taken in front of my house in the gutter. It was tank with a Cannon EOS Digital. I edited it with hue and saturation and then black and white then I colored it. I think it could be a little more red and a little more focused.

Rebecca G- "Reflection"

The title of this image is “Reflection.” I took it in a birdbath in my backyard and it was taken with my Nikon camera. To edit it, I made the image black and white, then filled in the color of the leaf, boosted the color and adjusted the hue and saturation. I wish that the leaf was a little more in focus.

Ivorie F-C- Beach Life

This photo is called “Beach Life”. It was taken on June 21, 2013 with my iPhone 4.  I edited it by boosting the “lighten” effect. The picture could have been better if I had been physically on the beach, but I was on the balcony of my hotel room and less grass should show.

Alex F- Flower

The title of this photo is “Flower.” It was taken in my backyard in late October. I took it with my iPhone 4S. I cropped it and increased the brightness and contrast. I do not know how it could be better.

Anna Kathryn D- Cassidy

This Picture was taken on the bus ride to the elite eight volley ball tournament. It was taken around twelve o’clock in the afternoon. I edited it in photoshop by changing the texture in the eye and enhancing her eyelashes. I also cleared up some spots on the skin. I think it could be better if I didn’t make the eyelashes so noticeably edited.

Ben F- Nike Spikes

The title of this image is called Nike Spikes. This photo was taken last monday on Veterans Day on the track at Hoover High School. It was taken with my camera… uh i think it was a Nikon. I edited the picture by adding a black and white filter and then erasing the parts that were orange on the spikes. This picture could be better by making the glare of the sun not visible and maybe changing my feet to more official position.

Greyson VH - Dark Side

The title of this image is “Dark Side”. I wanted to do something that was in the spirit of the Halloween season, which is about when this was taken. It was taken in the Digital Photography studio using the studio lights/camera, with the lights pointing behind the model so as to cast a shadow on his face. Unfortunately, the lighting technic wasn’t perfect, so I how to play with exposure settings in Photoshop to get the full shadow I envisioned. When the picture looked how I wanted it, I added a Black & White filter and some eyes from a picture I found online. I really can’t think of how this picture could be better, because it’s exactly how I imagined it.

Mary C- Idaho

This Photo is a picture I took while in Idaho with the cross country team. I took it on a bus as we passed by the houses so there’s some wind glare but besides that I really like this picture.

Haley G- Orange

This is my favorite image out of the pick a color assignment. I took it at my aunt’s house, two weekends ago with my digital camera finepix Z. I enhanced the saturation in the photo to bring out the orange of the object. I made the background darker so that the orange stands out more. I used the hue/saturation to boost up the orange some. I think I could have made the background a little lighter but I didn’t want to mess with it to much and completely mess it up.

IT could be more focused along the edges

Mason L- Reversed Selfie

This photo was taken outside of E Hall of Cory P. He acted like he was taking a picture so I could capture a neat shot. Alex F- Beach Life

The title of the image is "Beach Life" and it was taken at Orange beach in early October. I did not edit this photo. There is nothing I would change in this photo. I even like the surfer in the background because it tells more about the environment.

Tyler C - Welch

This image is titled Welch. The picture was taken one afternoon at the baseball fields in Shades Mountain Park. This image was taken with my Kodak camera. I edited this image by using the auto-tone and auto-color tools in photoshop. I also straightened the image in photoshop. This image could be better if the background had a little less noise and distraction because of the fence.

Haley G- Love

This is one of my favorite photos on the portrait assignment. I titled this photo "Love" and i know thats super cliche. I took this photo in cullman by Smith Lake, last weekend. I took it with my digital camera, Fujifilm, Finepix T. I changed the affect to black and white, i cropped it, and boosted some of the vibrance. The title of this image is Flying High. I took this picture on my trip to Las Vegas as we were crossing into Nevada back in September. I took this picture with my iPhone 4S. Ashley G- Orange Flame

I titled this picture Orange Flame. I took this picture on my deck where our candles are. I took this picture with my Canon Rebel t3 camera. Cory P- Autograph

The title of this image is called "Autograph" because this jersey has my favorite Cincinnati Reds' baseball player of all time's autograph. I took this at my house for my Name with Pictures assignment. I took this picture with my Sony Digital Camera and I used the spot-brush tool as well as the cropping tool to get rid of some glare. This picture could be better if I centered the "C' instead of leaving the letter in the bottom right of the picture.

Michael C - Auburn Hat

the title of this picture is MichaelC - Auburn hat
this picture was taken in my backyard on september 22 at 3:32 PM
this picture was taken with canon EOS 40D

I really like how it looks, I don't want to change the effect to much cause I don't want to brighten the picture up too much. We aren't only just best friends, but we are Sisters in Christ. We have the best times and the best connection as friends. We laugh and act stupid together. We have not only grown closer as friends but as Sisters and I love them so much.

Mary C- Rusty Flowers

I titled this picture rusty flowers because that's what they are, just a couple old rusty flowers. I took this with my cannon rebel. To enhance the photo I adjusted the contrast to make the colors come out really well. I also painted over the middle of the bottle to lower the purple streak it has. I also cropped the photo down to just the logo. The only thing I would like to change in this photo is to enhance the bottle so you can actually tell it is a glass bottle.

Shreya M - Rose and Bud

I then went in and warmed and yellow the statue a bit. I also brightened up the green in the moss and used the healing brush to take out small spots and clean it up. I also saw some parts that jutted out and broke out St. Francis's shape. I went in and painted each block to clean up the outside. I did have some issues with the original. I need to spend m
