Ivy U- Ky

This picture is a picture i took of my friend Kylie at a baseball game while she wasn’t looking. i named the picture Ky because thats her nickname. i edited it using photoshop and making the image black and white then coloring her eye back in. i really like how it turned out.

Sean M- Mountains Ferris Wheel

This picture is titled Mountains Ferris Wheel. It is a combination a landscape portrait of the Smoky Mountains, a ferris wheel at Disneyland, and a fireplace. added multiple filters to achieve the color of the sky and mountains. Each layer has independent filters that changed the look of the overall image with their reactions to the layer on the background image. I really like the way the image turned out, and i can’t think of anything else I would do to it.

Isaac E-Berries

I took this picture for the close up assignment. I found these berries on a bush outside my house, and thought they would be a good subject for a close up. I added a glass filter, and boosted the saturation. I think the picture is great ad it is, and doesn’t really need anything changed.

Chloe W- Sunset on the Beach

This picture was taken while I was on a college visit in Myrtle Beach. To edit this I only covered up the people who were walking on the beach. This could be better if I boosted the blue in the sky and got rid of the halo by the sun.

Shelby A- Nature

The title of this photo is Nature. I used this in the Composite assignment so I did a lot of editing. I took this with my cannon EOS.  I took 2 of the 3 pictures at Veterans Park and the other 1 at Star Lake. I wouldn’t change a lot in this picture, but I wish some things stood out more. Over all I like it.

Bailey T- Flower Daze

The title of this image is Flower Daze. I took this picture of Mary Kate’s eye in the back room with Mr. RIgsbys camera. I Combined this image with a picture I took of a daisy. Then i added a picture of a firework from universal studios to the pupil of the eye. then i changed the color of the flower around to eye to blend more with the skin tone. lastly I added a filter to make the whole image look like a sketch.

Ashley G- Colorful Forest

This is called Colorful Forest. It is a composite photo made up of a picture of trees, leafs on a bush, forks, and ice. I used ice to make the trees colorful. I took the pictures with my Canon T3 Rebel. I really like all of the colors that came out in this photo.

Jade B- The Cross

I took this picture with my nikond3100. it is a composite that i did for one of the projects. I moved over a cross and allowed some of the background to show through thats where the trees come from i duplicated the cross and added a filter to it.

Claye G- Tulips

This is a picture of some tulips blooming in my yard. I found this tulip tree easily because it was the only thing with a lot of color, and I really like the purple. It shows that spring is coming finally! I edited it by giving it vibrance to add to the color and brightening it.

Karley K - Combat Boots

This picture is called “Combat Boots” and I took it one day in the courtyard of my friends boots with one of Mr. Rigsby’s cameras. I edited it by increasing the vibrance, contrast, saturation and messed around with the curve levels to give the boots a purplish hue. I really like this picture and wouldn’t want to change anything.

Hannah S.- Rings

The title of this image is Rings because it is of my rings. I took this in the studio here at school and I took it with Mr.Rigsby’s Camera.
I raised the contrast and the exposure but overall i did not do much editing.

Gauge I- Red House

This photo is titled red house. It was taken in my neighborhood on January 29, 2014. It was taken with my canon powershot. I edited it my turning the saturation up. it could have been better if there was more so now on the roof.

Cory P- New Season

The title of this photo is “New Season.” I took this picture down on the baseball field behind home plate. This particular photo was taken with my iPhone 5. I edited this picture by cropping out the tarp we had just placed over it after a bad day of rain. This picture would be better if I could have the whole logo in the photo at the bottom, and if there were no trucks in the background.

Jackson W- Tennis

The title of the image I selected is Tennis.  I named it this because it is a picture of a tennis racquet and tennis balls.  I took this picture at tennis practice one day for the close up assignment.  I used my iPhone to take the picture because I didn’t have any other kind of camera with me.  I turned up the saturation to really bring out the color and added a filter to it to add texture.

Allison S.- Untitled

I couldn’t decide on a title for this image so i just left this as “Untitled”. I took this picture over Christmas break with my Canon SL1. While editing this I bumped up the contrast quite a bit and manipulated the curves. To get the wavy effect, I used the distortion tool and just played with it until I was happy with it. This is one of my favorite pictures from this year and I wouldn’t change anything about it.

Leah R- Light Bulb

I really like this photo. The only thing I did editing was cropping. I took this in Homewwood.

Lindsey H- Rain Drops

I took it in Tuscaloosa a couple weeks ago. It was raining and my dad had just waxed my brother car, so the rain drops were starting to standup on he’s car and i thought it would make a really cool close up picture.

Iman S - Snow Days

The Image i chose is called Snow Days. This photo was taken on January 28, 2014 at Hoover High School. This was taken with my Nikon CoolPixs camera. I did not edit it much because I like how the original photo turned out. This picture may have been better if the foot prints were not in the snow.

Zoya D- Manipulated

The picture i have chosen for my Photo Blog is called “Manipulated”.
I love the colors I chose to change the picture
I chose this picture as my favorite because The colors are different and I love the angle.
If I get to change the color then it is based on me.
I wouldn’t change anything about this picture
Besides changing the color, I also whitened the measuring cups a little, and darkened the edge of the canvas.
I also changed the lighting level a little.

I took this picture at home

Leah R- Fire Night

I took this with my Canon EOS Rebel T5i. I didn’t do anything to this photo editing wise. I think it turned out pretty well, I just wish you could see the whole fire in the picture.

David K- St Louis

The title of the image is called St. Louis. It was taken with my iPhone 5 on top of the St. Louis Arch. This picture would have been better if it wasn’t so blurry. Overall, I really like this picture.

Mary C- Church Panorama

This is my panorama of Highlands United Methodist Church that I took somewhere downtown. I didn’t edit this really except coloring in some missing places and messing with the brightness and contrast alittle. Over all I’m happy with the way the church turned out and glad I could get this beautiful churn in one picture.

Kylie W- G-Wagon

The title of this image is called G-Wagon. I took this picture in the parking lot of the Mercedes Benz plant in Tuscaloosa. I love this picture because it’s my dream car and I like the way the lighting looks. I wouldn’t change anything about this picture.

Lauren S- Boogie

The title of this picture is “Boogie”. It was taken at my house in my over night bag, i took it with my iPhone5 camera. I edited it by adding more contrast and saturation, i also brought down the brightness.  it could be better if the bag wasn’t so blurry.

Mason L - Back Alley Business

This photo was stitched together in Photoshop and is composed of 15 other photos. They were taken with my D3200 around 3 or 4 o clock so the sun provided great light for this photo. I used several layers while editing including, overlay layers to brighten and darken certain areas, a levels adjustment, an increase in contrast, and a background copy that was sharpened. I wish I would have taken more photos would have been taken so I could have a larger panorama view.

Melissa M- Colored Building

The title of my image is “colored building”.  I took it in downtown bessemer when we had the architecture project.  It was take with my camera which is a Nikon Coolpix, it could be better if the shadow of the building wasn’t there but other than that i has happy with the result.  I also chose to make it black and white and then restore the color to the windows and door because it makes the image much more interesting.

Shreya M- Flowers

I took this picture at my house on February 9. I edited it by decreasing the brightness, increasing the contrast, adjusting the levels, adjusting the curves, increasing the exposure, decreasing the vibrance, increasing the saturation, and adjusting the hue. I really like it because of the color of the flowers and because of the way the background is out of focus. I also really like the positioning of the leaves in the background.

Hannah S- Bluff Park jpg

The title of this image is “Bluff Park” because it is of Bluff Park Elementary. I tok this at Bluff Park on 2/5/14. I took 30 small shots then put them together in photoshop to create a panorama. This could be better if i went further around my body on both sides.

Logan M- "Save Your Breath"

I took This photo over the Christmas break downtown with my Nikon 5100. I edited this in a few ways. I did a total of 3 edits. For all of them I bumped up the vibrance and bumped down the saturation to give it a grey dead look, but preserve the colors in the image. I also then played with basic contrast and brightness. I then made a unique curves layer for each version and only applied it along the edges of the mask and where I thought it was needed. Each version is a different progression of the image. The middle is the closest to the original shot. I liked the extreme edit on the left, but my favorite is the right because of the detail in the eyes and the dramatic contrast of the mask to the jacket. The last thing I did to edit the image was to remove a hard thick crack in the middle of the wall that looked like it was sticking through his head. I used the cloning tool and the patch healing tool to fix this. I think with more experimenting I could get some better shots in camera, but overall I’m happy with how it turned out.

Michael C- Architecture Panorama Student Building

this was taken on my nikon coolpix s630. it was taken at hunter street baptist church at their student building. i created a panorama with all the pictures that were taken. i also used the stamp tool to color in parts of the sky that was missing. Some if the bricks in the picture got messed up while creating the panorama so if that wasn’t messed up that would make the picture better.

Chris A- Haley

The title of my photo is Haley, I took this picture in the courtyard of Hoover High School. the camera I used was a PENTAX-DA 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL. I edited it with the use the Dodge, Blur, and I made the background darker. The Photo could have been better if I had better lighting.

John Michael A - Fountain

This photo is titled Fountain. It was taken on a sunny, winter afternoon in downtown Birmingham with a Canon Powershot. I adjusted the brightness and cloned out some bad scenery. I love the lighting and angle, but wish that there was less of a glare in the top left portion of the photo.

Jackson W- Peanut Depot

The photo I chose is called Peanut Depot.  I called it this because it is a picture of the Peanut Depot downtown.  I took this with my Nikon camera for the Choice Assignment.  I really like this picture because of the range of colors and different colored bricks that outline the yellow building.  I increased the vibrancy and saturation to help out the color and also took down the brightness because the sun was shining right on the building.  This picture could probably be better if the tree were a little bit more clear or just out of the picture completely.

Ivorie F-C- Half Bath

This photo is called Half Bath, which was taken on January 26, 2014 in the half-bathroom of my home. It was taken with a Kodak M550. I edited this picture by adding the Black and White filter. Overall, I would not change anything about this photo except the removal of the items on the sink.

Greyson Von H - Snow Shed

The title of this image is “Show Shed.” I took this picture on the first day of the 2014 Snowpocalyse a few hours after school got out when the snow was still falling heavily. I edited it by adding custom HDR Toning. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, and I can’t really think of anything that I would have done differently.

Alex D- Alabama A

This picture was taken at the Super Dome in New Orleans.
This picture was taken with my Nikon Coolpix.
I didn’t edit this photo.
I wish this picture was more straight instead of being sideways. I also wish that I didn’t get the people in front of me. The last thing that I didn’t like but I should of done was to take the picture another angle because I was sitting in a corner and this made it harder for me to take.
What I liked about this photo is that the picture is very clear and a lot of times when I take pictures the pictures are very blurry and out of focus.

Ben F- Polaroid

The title of the selected image is called Polaroid. It was taken in my room where i initially found the camera. I took this picture last week during the Snowpocalypse. I took it with my iPhone. I edited it by boosting the light in the background coming from the window and increased the shadow from the camera. It could be better if i placed the camera in a better environment and used a background and setting that was more appropriate other than the floor.

Ashlyn R- Train Station

i titled this picture train station because in downtown Montgomery there is an old train station that is rarely used anymore. I took this picture for the panorama project with my iPhone 4s. I edited it by adding a filter and I actually filled in the tree more to make it stand out. It looks a little weird but overall I liked the way this picture turned out.

Jack L- Friendship

This photo was taken of my friends one day when we went shooting downtown. i love these back light pictures because you just get a silhouette of the people and not too much facial details. i just stumbled across the photo today and turned down the brightness a little bit. nothing major.

Isaac E- Spider From Hell

This image combined multiple of my favorite images, and I love how they blend together. Most of the images were added in some form or another, except for the spider, which was subtracted. The spider’s colors were taken from the image, creating a negative image. The images i combined were two of the pictures i took for the reflections assignment, a picture i took for the night and day assignment, a picture from the still life assignment, and a picture i tok when it snowed that was not for any assignment.

Hannah G- Vandy

This picture is called “Vandy” because i took it when i was touring Vanderbilt in Tennessee. I took it with my iPhone 5 and to edit it I enhanced the colors by increasing the saturation. I also added some blue to the sky.

Nick F- Stained Glass

The title of my picture is Stained Glass. I took the picture at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama when I went on a visit to the college. I took the picture on my Nikon D40. I edited the picture by bumping up the saturation and increasing the color of some of the darker colors so that they were more visible. The only thing I don`t like about the picture is the glare in some of the window.

Tyler C- Baseball

This picture was taken Mr. Rigsby’s studio using his camera for the still life assignment. I edited this image by cropping in on the ball. This image could be better if it had a solid black background or a dirt background.

Claye G- Puddle Reflection

This is a picture I took at the high school one day when it was rainy. There were puddles and I found one where you could see a tree reflecting from it. I brightened the photo and increased the vibrance to make the tree stand out more.

Kelley M- I Think You Missed

The title of my photograph is ‘I think you missed’. It was taken in the studio and it was taken last week. It was taken with an SLR. I edited it by brightening it up in the center and darkening it on the sides and then bumbling up the vibrance and contrast. It could be better by parts of the skull not reflecting as much light.

Ashley G- Iced Leaves

This photo is called Iced Leaves. I took this on my deck on Christmas. I took this photo with my Canon Rebel t3. When I edited it, I made it brighter, more saturated and more vibrant. It could’ve been better if I didn’t have my shadow my the ice.

Justin N- Contrast

I called this photo “Contrast” because of the white background and the all black trees and leaves. This photo was taken in the middle of the day and I used filters the create the all black and white effect. I am satisfied with this photo and I don’t think there is anything else I would change with this photo.

Lindsey H- Snow Day 2014

Snow Day 2014 walking through my neighborhood. My iPhone. I edited it with the filters on my phone and i darkened it a little bit. I really like it the way it is, i wouldn’t really change it. I was just walking around my neighborhood and just thought it would make a really cool picture.

Jacob T- Snow Panorama

This picture is called Snow Day. I like this picture because it was the fist sign of snow that day. This was taken 2 weeks ago when when it snowed, this was taken in the courtyard right as it started snowing.I like this picture because it is a panoramic and it was the first one that i took with the app PhotoSynth. This

Cori J - Dog Walk

This picture was taken probably sometime in September or October of 2013. It was taken in my yard.
This picture was taken with my Nikon camera.
I edited it with a black and white filter.
This  picture could be better if I could get the stuff off of his face.
