Heath M- Vision

The name of this image is titled “Vision.” This was taken during Dnow weekend, a couple weeks ago,  with my friend Tyler. I took this picture with my Canon EOS 40D and edited the picture by cropping, spot healing, and coloring in places with photoshop. At the moment, I can’t really think of anything that I could do to make the picture better. Overall, I really liked the process of taking and creating this image.

Cullen S- Purple Water

I took this down in Florida at a community pool that I was at when I was staying with a buddy down there. I took this picture with my old Nikon D40x but have now upgraded to a Nikon D3400. I made a layer and painted a lighter blue tint over it when experimenting and then changed the tone from normal to color and then just tried to see what all the others would look like and then it made it this pinkish purple color and I felt instantly that I had to get the pink to pop more. Plus the bits of yellow and red within the picture look amazing. I wish it could be better if that red and yellow were more prominent.

Sam R- Cookies

This is a photo of cookies I took at my grandmothers. I changed colors and added a filter, I could make the cookies more visible but I like the abstractness of it.

Alicia U- Ocarrs

This tittle of this image is Ocarrs a place Down Town. This picture was taken in downtown. It was taken on Sunday. It was taken with my Canon. I edited this picture by sharpening it and making it darker.

Alli J- Morton Salt

This photo was taken in my kitchen. Its a simple black & white photo of boxed pourable Morton brand salt :) I edited this photo by adding a black & white filter and darkening the photo some and intensifying the contrast. This photo could probably be better if it wasn’t so grainy but looking past that flaw, I’m proud of this pic

Damion C - Blood Orange

I took this picture of a blood orange that was soaked in water which gave it the shine look and I used layer masks and various splatter brushes to give it the effect of disintegration.

Kristie M- Gray Converse

This picture is simply titled “Gray Converse”. I took this photo a few weeks ago for the still life assignment in my bedroom up against a white posterboard. I also used the lamp from my desk as a light source so that the details can be seen much better with my Nikon camera. I edited this picture by by using smart focus to make the image more focused. I also boosted the shadows, increased the contrast, and used the brush tool to add some black to the outer corners and give more depth to the image. I feel like this picture could have been better if the atmosphere in which the picture was taken was more stable because it caused the shoe on the right to look a little funky after editing it.

Ben S- Army Man

This image is called Army Man and I took it in my living room. I used two flashes and a macro lens. I just sharpened the face and words to edit it. I like it because it has a shallow depth of field, which is nice. It could be better if the gun were in focus too.

DeVaun J- Wolf

The name of the photo is Wolf. I took it Jan 26 in the cafeteria. Its a picture of my friend Ali at lunch.I took it with a Pentax K200D. I edited it by making it black and white, tuning down the the contrast and changing her eyes so they are the only thing in color and i made them green. I like this picture the way it is but i wish i could’ve reused the amount of people in the background

Asil H- Flower

I titled this Image as Flower. This photo was taking two weeks ago by my front door. I took this picture with my Nikon D3200. I edited this image by cropping the picture, sharpening the flower, and I added some filters as well.

Joey B- Backyard Tile Sky Church

The title of this image is Backyard Tile Sky Church. It is a composite photo of a picture of my backyard, a kitchen tile, the sky and my church. These photos were taken at various times and places, all with a Canon EOS Rebel T5. I added the tile with a linear light layer, the sky with a darker color layer, and the church with a screen layer. I masked out the church building itself to make it appear like a silhouette. This photo would be better if I had outlined the cross on the steeple perfectly.

Brandon H - Through the Gear

This picture is actually a composite of two images that I took while I was in the “studio.” I like it because the picture I took of the gear almost perfectly makes a frame for whatever I want. I feel like it would’ve been cooler if I had a picture of my friends of something in a classroom to select the table it is sitting on, but this was kind of cool too. The photo in the back is actually a Narrative from my still life, and I really like that one. I think that if I had spent a tad more time on the trim it would’ve been better.

Sam R- Blue

This is Blue, it is a picture of the sky and a building. I didn’t edit anything but the color and brightness, the clouds were already like that and they look cool because they just seem to end all at once. The thing I like most about this picture is the reflectiveness of the right side of the building.

Satura D.- Pink Flower

This photo is called Pink Flower. I took this photo in front of my house and I like this photo because I think its pretty.

John W - The Skys

This picture is called “The Skys” because it captures the sky in motion as well as someone walking by at night. The sky has color and you can really see the stars and the moon and I think it’s a very cool photo.

Alicia U- Outside

The tittle of the image is Outside.  This picture was taken out side my house. It was taken about one week ago. It was taken with my cannon camera. I edited by putting filter on color and darling it a little.  I could have done better by taking it another angle.

Mitchell R.- Burst

This image is called Burst. This picture was done at my house. Only editing done was a Nik collection filter.

Olivia H- Dog

The Title of this image is Dog. I took this photo by a window up in my room at my dads house. I took this photo with my iPhone 6S. To edit this photo i made it black and white, i sharpened my dog and i made the outer edges darker. I also Blurred out some dust and dark spots. I think it could be better if i made the sky less bright.

Kristie M- On the Fence

This image is entitled “On the Fence” I took this picture of my best friend at the fence behind her house. This picture was first edited in iPhoto with the black and white filter, increasing the contrast and sharpness, and decreasing the the exposure. I then edited the image in Photoshop with the retouch tool to get rid of any blemishes on her skin. This picture could have been way better if I had taken it with something else in the background, rather than just having the fence.

Anna M- Hasta La Muerte

Hello!! My name is Ana Martinez. This is a picture that I took some time now, I called it “hasta la muerte.” I edited this picture by cropping the edges and I put nik collection filter. I also brightened the picture up. What I should have done better was to sharpened the picture and straighten the picture up.

Reid B- Apple

This picture was taken on November 16, 2016 in my kitchen. I took this picture with my Cannon Rebel xsi. I edited this picture by bumping up the contrast and the color. I think that It could be better if I took out the dust that is under the apple.

Trajan J- Space

This Picture was taken 30000 feet in the air. I was on a flight back to Atlanta. I took this picture with my phone. I Blurred it and added a filter to make it look like it was in space. I love the effect that the filter got me. it looks like its barley outside the atmosphere. I think this is some of my best work so i can’t think of a way to make it better.

Mattie B- Galaxy

This picture is named Galaxy. It’s named galaxy because it was a galaxy bath bomb. I really like this picture because it makes you think about what it really is. I think that this picture could be better if it was a little brighter.

Anna Grace L- Faces

This Picture is titled Faces because it is a composite of four different portraits. All of these pictures were taken downtown, most in the color tunnel. I took all five photos with my Cannon Rebel T5. I used the difference blend for most of  the layers except the bottom right hand picture. I put the burn edit on that one.

Asil H- Sarah & Saja

I titled this image as Sarah & Saja. I took this picture a few weeks ago at Star lake. I took this picture with my Nikon D3200. I edited this image by playing around with the HDR toning technique.

Reid C - Siblings

The title is “Siblings” because the people are my brothers and sister. It was taken in Clearwater, Florida on the balcony of my father’s condo. I edited it by adding a classical soft focus filter and doing some general improvements to the color and contrast. It could be better if my little brother and sister were in better positions for the picture. I chose it as my best because I really like how the light is hitting my brother and his pose.

Will H- Stop

This Picture was taken around the middle of August with my Cannon T5. This picture was taken in front of my house I always thought that the way I made the sign the main point of the picture then made the background blurry by using the portrait mode

Yash M- Lake

This picture is called Lake since I took it at a small lake last week. I took it with my phone. I edited it by increasing the saturation and not much else. I could have made it better by taking it when the ripples weren’t there so the trees in the lake would have looked cleaner.

Tyler L- Flower

I call this picture Flower. I made this image during our composite project and took the three pictures that make up the edit with my Nikon D3300. I edited it by stacking layers and creating layer masks to add and remove certain parts of the different images that I didn’t want to see.I think it could be better if the petals were brighter but I didn’t have the time needed to do that.

Skylar J - Purple

The picture is called Purple. The tunnel and the hope sign were taken downtown about 2 months ago and the city line was taken in Atlanta about 4 months ago. All the photos used where taken with my iPhone 6s camera. I edited it by cropping, saturating, and moving the different photos to make one picture. I could have been better if the tunnel would’ve been a little more straight. I really enjoyed this assignment and being able to take different pictures to make one big picture.

Alli J- Shoe

I took this photo over the weekend last weekend of my Boyfriends shoe because I thought they just looked super cool. I took this photo using the flash on my IPhone 6 because it made the quality and colors of the shoe pop. I edited this by cropping it, darkening the image and enhancing the hue and saturation :)

Maddy F- Bindi

I took this picture of my dog, Bindi, at Oak Mountain. I took this with my Nikon D7000. I brightened the image a lot, converted it to black and white, and sharpened it slightly. Like it because I think it is a good action shot.

Landon H - Papa Hammett

The title of this image is “Papa Hammett”. The Images were taken on October 22, 2016 at lake Martin Practicing for a Tournament. It was Taken with my Nikon D90 Gold Edition. I edited it by Throwing all the photos together, applying filters, darkening some photos, and then using a mask and painting over the mask to uncover some of the color on the layers under the images. I think It could be better if I didn’t have the other backgrounds of the tree line in the other photos, and maybe if it weren’t as blue.

Jack B- Commando

The title of this image is called Commando. I took this picture at the Jeep dealership on january 21st. I took this image with my canon EOS rebel. I didn’t edit this image in any way because I think it looks good like it is.

Everett M - Suburban Tropic

The name of the photo that I chose for this photoblog is called “Suburban Tropic.” This was a picture for my composite assignment. I used the mailbox photo from the About Me assignment to act as the base for the image. What I did was I over-laid two images of flowers over the mailbox, created a mask, and removed the excess from the two images that surrounded the mailbox. I then changed the color of the road to blue. This image is overall supposed to create an image that would remind one of the the tropics.

Maddi S- Table Placement

This picture is taken of a table placement that I have down in my basement. This was taken with my Cannon Rebel t3i. I edited it by contrasting and fixing the brightness. It gave me another outlook to everyday objects.

Jack S- Sushi

This image is called “Sushi”. This was taken at yuki one afternoon with my iPhone 6s camera. I used iPhoto to edit the image by enhancing the color and cropping and tilting the image. For a better image, i would have to use a better camera.

Sarah H- Sneaky Snake

This image is called Sneaky Snake. I took this image Last school year at the zoo and it was taken with my Canon Rebel T5. I edited it by taking the brightness down a bit, brought the exposure up, deepening the shadows, and brightening the highlights and also brought the saturation up. It could be better if I would of gotten the cut off part of his tail. This if my overall favorite picture of a snake that I have taken.

Margaret S- Eyeshadow

This picture is title Eyeshadow, because the subject is several eyeshadow palettes. It was taken at my house on Sunday. The photo was taken with my Nikon camera, and i edited it by raising the vibrance and using the sharpening and blurring tools. It could be better if it included more colors or from a different angle.

Joey B- Dogwood Tree

I titled this photo Dogwood Tree. The photo of the dog was taken on August 21, 2016 at about three in the afternoon on my back porch. The photo of the wood was also taken on August 21, 2016 at about the same time. It is of the surface of the dresser in my bedroom. The photo of the tree was taken on August 22, 2016 at about 5 in the evening. It was taken in front of Shades Crest Baptist Church All photos were taken using a Canon EOS Rebel T5. This is a composite photo. The wood and the tree were both added on top of the dog using darken layers. This photo might have been better if the tree was the base layer instead of the dog.

Maci H - Twisted

The image I am submitting to the photo blog is “Twisted”. I took this during the day on December 8th in my backyard. The picture was taken with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7. I used Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 to edit this picture by raising the saturation and exposure and adding a black and white mask. This picture could have been better if I had lowered the brightness a little.

Jasmien C- Zues

I chose “zeus” because i just really like the way the editing came out. It was totally unexpected, but i love it. It gives it a mysterious and beautiful look.i love how the colors look and i like the black background and how you can only the the cat. its hands down my favorite so far.
