Betsey S - Church

The name of this image is Church because it is an image of a church. This photo was taken downtown for the architecture assignment. It was taken with my canon rebel T6. I edited it by turning up the saturation and contrast. I think I could tune down the saturation a little for it to be better.

Brooke J- Gringotts

The title of this image is Gringotts because I took this picture at Gringotts Bank in Univeral Orlando. I took this with my iPhone 11 and I increased the pinks and purples to make the windows pop. It could be better if I made sure the photos aligned perfectly during the panorama shot.

Hailey D - Dinner at the Beach

This is titled “Dinner At the Beach”. I took this in St.Pete Florida when I was on vacation with my family. This was taken on my Iphone XR and edited on the photoshop app. I made the photo a little brighter and put a morre red and orange lighting.

Matthew B- Ait Quality

This is titled the air quality. It was taken at rc3 and the week before spring break. I turn the color off and sharpen everything. It could be better if it was something more interesting.

Britney P - Utopia

This photo is called “Utopia.” This was my favorite image for the composite assignment because it’s aesthetic and would look great on my wall. All of the photos for assignment were taken with my Canon camera. For this image, I used four simple photos that I took outside of my apartment. I also used the color efex effect, blending options. and masking tool to create this final product.

Mia N - Unknown

I took this picture in a train station in France while it was really busy during spring break. This picture is unedited. I think that there are some blemishes I could fix but overall I like the picture.

Sam M- Snowboarding

This is a picture of me snowboarding. I edited pictures of me jumping into the sky. It would've been better if I edited the sunset but I left it raw. It was taken with my 13 pro.

Jack L- I Want You!

The title of this image is I Want You! The image was taken during digital photography class. It was taken with Canon EOS Rebel T6. I didn't edit it. It could be better if his face looked more in focus.

Tyrelle H- Noise of the Silent Tree

The name of this photo is “Noise of the Silent Tree.”  I took this picture in the woods during a camping trip. I took it with a Canon Camera. I don’t know what model the camera was. I edited this by changing the way the picture looks with the photoshop app. I made the tree look like it was drawn to make it stand out more from the background . I could edit better by putting more focus on the moon in the background.

Tyler G - Life

This image is called life because the images subject projects life to it’s fullest. I took 3 of these pictures and blended them together to create “Life.” I took one picture on top of my house, another picture in my friend Lucas’ backyard and another one on a trail. I took all of these photos with my iPhone camera and edited them with Photoshop. This image is perfect in my opinion!

Jonathan F -In League

The title of this image is named In League. It was taken on Friday, March 18 at the Hoover vs Thompson soccer game. It is taken with my Canon T6 camera. I edited this image by first removing some of the overhead light that the image had. I then just sharpened everyone's face and made the numbers pop out more. Could have been better if I got closer to taking the picture instead of zooming in all the way causing more noise.

Martha Claire D- Spring Has Sprung

The title of my image is “Spring Has Sprung”.  I took this photo in early April at my house. It was taken with my phone because that is what I had at the time. I edited this by sharpening the image and increasing the saturation and then adding a color efex filter to it. I think that this filter added a nice vintage and warm filter to it. I wish that the flowers were a bit sharper so that there was more of a contrast around the edges and from the focus of the image. Overall I think this was a fairly good image.

Elizabeth C- Eye See You!

The title of this image is “Eye See You.” This is a composite image where I combined three images together in photoshop. I think it could definitely be better, but I really like it the way it is.

Alex B- Purple Sky

The title of the image I selected is Purple Sky. This image is a panorama created by images taken on my Iphone 11 Pro. This was taken at Hoover High School’s courtyard, and was constructed at around 9:45 in the morning. I edited the image by shaping it up to fit around all the boundaries, and I also increased the saturation and contrast, changed the exposure around a little bit, and added the Nik collection filter vivesa to the whole image at the end. The image could have been better if I had paid more attention to detail when filing out the edges of the constructed image.

Courtni D- Hallways

The title of this photo is “Hallways”. This was taken at Hoover during the Architecture Assignment. It was taken with one of Mr. Rigsby’s cameras. To edit this photo I adjusted the lighting, bumped up the details, and adjusted the saturation. I think if I decided to edit it in photoshop and played around a little bit I could have found some things to help make the photo better.

Will B- Main Street

The title of this image is Main Street. I took it on Main Street at Disney World over spring break. This is a panoramic view of the street, and I think it turned out really well. I took the picture with my phone and despite all of the people moving between the shots that I took, the panoramic actually ended up with only a few defects. I did minor editing, mostly a little bit of clone stamping and a crop. The Image could have been better if I had taken more pictures, but that could have also resulted in more defects. The only other thing I could improve on was fixing some of the imperfections if I had spent more time cleaning those up. Overall, I am still very happy with the final product, especially for the brief amount of time I spent taking the pictures and editing them.

Hellen A- Lines

The name of this picture is Lines. I took this in Destin Florida with my Canon Rebel T7. I lowered the exposure and I shaked the camera to get a sketch effect. For editing I just brighten the image.  I really like how this turned out.

Marshall F - Cathedral of Saint Paul

The title of this image is the Cathedral of Saint Paul. I took this in downtown Birmingham. This was for the architecture assignment. I took this picture with an iPhone 13. It could be better if I edited the trees out.

Paris C- Jumpshot

This image is named Jump Shot because of the jumpshot. I took at Hoover High in the practice gym. I edited it by making the image black and white then making his figure black and the out layers lighter so you can see the figure perfectly. This is a good photo I would say

Bradley B- After Dark

The name of this picture is called After Dark. It was taken in Downtown Atlanta during spring break on March 27. It was taken on an iphone 13 pro. When it came to editing the picture at first  I just played around with the Nik Collection because I was going to use that at first but then I decided not to use it so I just went for black and white and that’s how I basically edited it. I feel like there was nothing wrong with the picture.

Brandon B- Spring's Sprouts

This photo is titled “Spring Sprout’s” as it is some sort of bloom or “sprout” that I have seen starting to collect around my house.  This was taken on my deck around three in the afternoon on April 9, 2022.  I took the photo with my iPhone 13 Pro.  It was edited using Viveza in the Nik Collection to give some extra color.  It could be better if I cropped the photo a bit.

Emily B - Butterfly

I titled this picture Butterfly because it is a picture of a butterfly. I took the picture with my phone which has a horrible camera but considering that I think it came out pretty well. It was taken at the Butterfly Garden in Disney. I didn’t edit it so it clearly could be better if I took the time to edit it and adjust the colors.

Jackson B - Chicago

The image is called Chicago. It was taken in Willis tower in chicago. It was taken with with a Canon EOS 6d. All I did to edit was brighten the image. It could be better if I had gotten rifd of thereflection on the window.

Carol A- The Beauty of Color

This picture is called The Beauty of Color, this picture was taken on August 29, 2021, it was taken with my iPhone 11, I edit it by turning the Saturation down, turning the shadows up, and cropping the picture. I think it could have been better if I would have taken the picture a little bit closer.

Grace A- Castle

The title of this image is Castle, and was taken in downtown Birmingham at St. Paul’s Cathedral on March 20, 2022. It was taken with a Nikon D50. I edited this by using the burn and sponge tools and lowering the contrast, along with the vibrance, highlights, and increased the shadows. A filter from the Nik collection was added, and so was a bokeh blur to the edges. It could be better if the frame was filled with more of the castle and there wasn’t so much empty space.

Will A- Untitled

This picture has no title. It is a composite made from many green and brown colored images, mostly taken of trees for the composite assignment.. I took all of them on my iPhone XR. Overall I like the grungy look the image has. If I could improve it, I would do a little more specific editing of colors, allowing for more contrast and better blending.

Evelyn A - Damaged

This image is titled Damaged. It was taken near my apartment complex on March 21 during the evening. I took the picture with a COOLPIX L830 camera. I edited this image by using the Analog Efex Pro filter and adjusting the brightness and contrast. I am not sure how it could be better.

Emily B- In The Rain

I titled this picture “In the Rain” and it was taken a few weeks ago through the sunroof of our car while it was raining. I  thought the droplets on the car looked interesting so I used my phone to photograph them. I edited it by increasing the contrast and decreasing the lighting and brilliance. It could be better by being a little less blurry but overall I really like the patterns in this photo and I think it turned out really well.

Madilyn B- Space Mountain

This image is called Space Mountain. It was taken at Disney World in Magic Kingdom. I took this photo over spring break of 2022. I took this photo with my phone so it isn’t as clear as desired. I sharpened the image and cropped the image to exclude lampposts and people’s heads. This photo would be a lot better quality if taken with a DSLR.

Sydney R- Crown Closeup

This picture's title is, “Crown Closeup.” I took this picture for the Still Life assignment as a closeup. It was taken about a few months ago after the Senior Halloween Dance.  I took this with my Nikon D3500. To edit, I made the picture black and white and then increased the texture, clarity and sharpness to add detail. I wish that I had gotten the top of the crown to really make it more clear about what the picture is of.

Maddie T- The Middle

This photo is titled “The Middle” because the band performing is jimmy eat world whose biggest song is called “The Middle”.  This is a composite photo combined with 3 photos from their concert. It was edited in photoshop and I am really excited with how it came out.

Adam T- Getaway

The title of my image is called “Getaway” and it was taken at another car meet I went to. It was taken with my iPhone 10 XR and I increased the color of the sky a bit and toned out some of the grain that was found in the picture. I feel like it could be better if I cropped the people in the background out of the photo but overall, I really like how it turned out.

Trevor P- Back in Time

The image above is titled Back in time, this was taken in the beginning of March at Little River Canyon with my Nikon D5200 with a 50mm lens. A technique I used was lowering the shutter speed to give the water in the background a silky smooth look. All together I really like how this photo came out and how I shot through the plant to capture the waterfall. If I could change something about this photo I would like to have taken the image more leveled which was restricted due to the platform I was on.

Aidan P- Morning Tree

This image was taken in the HHS courtyard in the morning but did not originally look like this. I went to the NIK collection filters and used a good color cast one. After that I changed some lighting and added more color, along with making it look like the sun was to the right of the tree. Now the sky is brighter, the tree has more color, and it makes the picture seem warmer. I like this image and feel pretty good.

Mary Mason P- Biltmore

I named this photo family friends. Because they are family friends of ours. It was taken in Blackridge in Hoover, Alabama on December 24, 2021. It was taken with an iPhone 12. I edited it by cropping it. It could be better by adding a little more light to it.

Raven L- Dreamland

This picture is called Dreamland because it looks like the depiction of a weird dream in a movie. It is from our composite picture. It is three images all taken with my Canon eos rebel T2i. I put them on top of one another and used different blending options after doing basic edits to each picture individually. I think it is missing something but am unsure if what.

Caeden H- Little Bro

The title of this image is “Little Bro”. I took this picture on May 23, 2021, at my grandparent’s house. I took it with my iPhone 12 pro. I used portrait mode on my phone so I really did not have to edit this photo much. I increased the exposure and color slightly, but that is all I did. I can not think of anything I could have done better.

Betsey S - Bison

I named this photo Bison because it is a photo of a bison. It was taken in west yellowstone while on a trip in January. This photo was taken with my canon rebel T6. I edited this image by bringing the highlights down because it was a bit bright. I feel like it is still a little to bright and I could bring down the brightness and shadows.

Ayla S- Britney Composite

This image is titled, “Britney Composite.” It was taken in the courtyard in January, but is mixed with a photo of the sunset and a picture of the moon. The sunset photo was taken in September, and the moon picture was taken in August. I took all of these photos with a Canon Rebel T6 camera. To edit this, I brought out the orange hue in the sunset, then blended all of the photos together using the masking tool. I wish the transition between the background and Britney was a little better.

Marshall H -- Kazha

The name of this image is “Kazha.” The stunning woman in the photo is the lead singer of the rock band “Kazha.” This was taken a few weeks ago at the BJCC, with my iPhone 13- I went to see her in concert. Going off that, not much was done to edit this image- just added a vintage background. I wish this was taken with a better quality camera- and there wasn’t so much chaos in the background

Nora G- Pictorialism Lookout

This was one of my pictorialist images that i did. I like this one just because I like the way it turned out. I like how it looks like a type of painting. I'm not really sure what I did to edit it besides the filters we used for the pictorialism project.

Alex B- The Love of Two Become One

CAROLINE M- Tree of life

 No Statement Provided

Ani W- Haunter of Horses

I’ve tilted this image Haunter of Horses because I’d like to believe this horse is haunted and haunts horses like the grim reaper, but of horses. It also could be headless horseman’s ride. Anyways, I took this photo at Oak Mountain State Park just last weekend. The park had a skelton horse lying around outside of their horse sables and thought it would make a cool photo. I didn’t have my camera with me, so I had to use my iphone 12 mini. I edited this image by enhancing the image and then using Analog Efex Pro to give the image a creepy vibe. I really love this photo.

Alexia T - The Missing Clasmate

The title of this image is “The Missing Classmate”. All of the pictures used in this creation were taken on the campus of Hoover High School, with one of Mr. Rigsby’s cameras. I edited the foremost cut-out by applying the stylize:solarize filter and the base layer by applying the distort:ripple filter. I think the image would be better if the base image was of better quality and more visible.

Britney P - Midnight

The title of this photo is “Midnight.” This was taken this year. It is of the sky. This is the photo I used for the Nix Collection, so I used the Color Efex filter on it. This is why the colors of the clouds are blue and pink. There are several things that could have been better. But, overall, I really like how this photo turned out.

A'Kelsa N- Untitled

 No Statement Provided

Mia N - Xio

I took this picture at Hoover High School during 7th period. I took it with Canon EOS REBEL T3 and this picture is unedited. I think the resolution could be a little better and could use some editing but overall I like it.

Connor G- Central Park

So this picture is probably close to four years old by now. I took it in Central Park during a trip to New York. I really like how it turned out, and I’ve used it a lot this year for assignments in class. This one was for the pictorialist assignment. This is one of my favorite incarnations of it to date purely because of how unique it is.

Jonathan F - Suri

The title of this image is called Suri because that's the name of the cat that is pictured. It was taken on my trip to Mexico on December 23, 2021. I took this picture with my Iphone. I edited by adding more color to the cat instead of the background. Could have been better if I took more pictures of Suri from different angles.
