Madelyn S- Once a Sweet Lie

This picture was taken in the studio with the only source of lights where the fairy lights. The picture was taken with a canon camera. I messed around with the saturation and filters. I made it look like it had a pinkish/red tint and focused some areas of the photo. I love the picture as it is. The photo is part of the narrative still life assignment. The fake flower represents how people can be so fake to someone who cares about them so deeply. The converse represent how I mainly carried them through thick and thin. They are worn from the path that I took for them. The lights are symbols of hope that I have, that one day I can be cared about.

Abby G - Please Notice

For the title of this photo I decided on ‘Please Notice’ because that is the title of the song present in the picture. This photo was taken in the studio for the Still life project. I added a filter through Analog Efex Pro 2 that made the shadows more defined at brought some brightness out. While taking the photo I had all the lights out, making the phone the only light source. The placement of the AirPods bothers me for some reason. Also I’d rather have it just be the phone and the AirPods, not the added cord and case

Diana H- Lights

My title for this. image is lights.I took this picture when I was taking still life assignment. It was taken in my room at night.I use my iPhone camera to take this picture.I just added a filter to it.I think it could be better if the camera was forcing more on the lights it will make it better.

Abdul M- Fruits

This picture was taken in the classroom its a picture of fruits

Jack J. - My Attorney

The title of this image is “My Attorney” because its a close up of Ralph Steadman’s drawing of the Attorney in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson. This was taken with my Canon Rebel T3 for the Still Life assignment. I edited the image by adjusting the tones and adding a grain texture.

Ali H- 4 Eyed

This photo is entitled 4 eyed. This photo was taken at school. I split the photo in half and colored each side of the photo. Then I used the stamp tool to retrace the eyes to a different part of the face.

Wednesday, March 4, 2020

I took this picture in my backyard. I took it using my iPhone 7. I combined a picture of my backyard and a waterfall. I edited it by increasing the contrast and lowering the brightness. I also used the software light filter. I really like the way the picture come together.

Kara A- Savannah

The title of this image is “Savannah” because that is my sisters name (girl in the image). It was taken in my stepmom bathroom. It was taken late in the afternoon. I took this picture with my Nixon Coolpix a10. This picture could have been better by lowering the brightness and I could have used a cooler filter. I did not do much to this image. I cropped the image more to focus on the subject. I added a small filter. This picture was taken after softball practice.

Kameron M - Air

I call this photo “Air” obviously referring to the Nike air logo. It was taken in the woods somewhere around my house at an abandoned house, and I took it using my Canon Rebel t7i. I edited it using the image adjustments like curve and Shadows/Highlights. I also used the Nik Collection to give it the film grain and its HDR Color effect, and I used the pen tool to outline the logo.

Sasha C- Diana

This was taken in the couryard, It was taken with D3200, I edited by changing the filter and bringing more color to the image, It could be better if there was more light.

Nema H- Latte

The title of the image is called Latte and it was taken in Baba Java Coffee on September 12, 2019. It was taken with an iPhone XS Max and it made the image look like it was taken with a digital camera. I edited this picture by increasing the Brightness and Contrast to bring out the parts of the Latte Art. Also, I used Color Balance to darken the edges of the coffee and show the texture of it as well. This photo can be better if it was taken more above it than too close but other than that is really great!

Vlad S- Worms Eye

I call this worms eye because I’m looking up and I just made the sky red. It came out pretty clean tho.

Madeline.P- Flower

I took this picture when I was at my cousin’s house. To edit this picture I used a little bit of brilliance and contrast, also I edited by using hue saturation to gave a different color to the flower.

Ramzi M - Rainy and Wet Day

I took this photo in school campus, I took the picture in a rainy and wet day. I took the picture with my iPhone x

Mariana G- Untitled

I took this picture with a Canon EOS Rebel at Moss Rock Preserve on January 13th. I edited it through the photos app by adding the faded filter. It could be better if the image wasn’t as unfocused as it already is.

Cameron Y - Gradient Leaves

My photo’s name is Gradient Leaves. It is of my nano-leaves that sit on my wall in my room.  I took this picture from a worms eye view with all the lights off.  It was honestly really hard to get this picture since my camera would have trouble adjusting to the changing color of the leaves.  I edited this photo by messing with the contrast, highlights, shadows and saturation so that the leaves and their colors would look better.  I am really proud with how this turned out since it was such a challenge to shoot, from the awkward angle to the constant changing color of the lights.

Kay P- Birdie

This picture is called Birdie. I took this photo on an art class field trip with my iPhone 8. I didn’t really edit it because I wanted to keep it looking as natural as possible, but one thing I for sure would’ve done differently is adding a filter to make the image feel more alive.
