Jack J. - My Attorney

The title of this image is “My Attorney” because its a close up of Ralph Steadman’s drawing of the Attorney in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson. This was taken with my Canon Rebel T3 for the Still Life assignment. I edited the image by adjusting the tones and adding a grain texture.

This photo has really cool lighting and a good angle was chosen to bring out the illustration. I feel like a darker background would make the photo more focused and dramatic. Overall, good job!

I'm a huge fan of macro photography, the sharp contrast from the clear edges of the illustration to the out of focus words on the other page. I really like that the image is mostly monochromatic, and think it helps to not distract from the illustration. Overall the picture works very well, if I were to change anything, it would be to make the picture black and white, as it is already monochromatic as is.

I really like this image! I think there is a nice focus of the drawing and I like how everything else in the image is blurry to give the eye an idea of what we really need to focus on. There is also a good balance of the darkness of the text and the pen and I also like how dramatic the image is! Overall I think the mood of the photograph is fear as a whole! The drawing is definitely creepy and I like it.
