Liv R - Holding a Chance

This image is titled, “Holding a Chance.” I took both components of this photo in the studio with my Nikon D3300. The flowers photo was taken for my narrative still life and the dice were a failed attempt at an action photo! To edit this, I used the marquee tool to snip some of the still life photos to layer into the background of the dice photo. There is minimal editing other than the actual composition of the photo! I really like this photo, but it could be better if I had more time and was able to incorporate more flowers and blend things into his hands a little bit better.

Courtni D- The Model Alexia

The title of this image is “The Model Alexia”, It was taken on March 9 in the studio with one of Mr. Rigsby’s cameras. The camera was a Canon EOS REBEL T3. To edit this photo I adjusted the lighting options, used the Black & White settings, adjusted the levels and curves, and sharpened it. I think if I spent a lot more time editing the photo it would be better.

Matthew B- School Courtyard

The title of the selected image-school courtyard Where and when it was taken-school What it was taken with-my phone How you edited it-photoshop How it could be better-hmm the flag pole

Sam M- Fireworks Over Paris

I named this Image is titled Fireworks Over Paris. I took a picture of the tower on my family trip in 2018. I took it with my phone while walking over a bridge. I combined it with some pictures of fireworks I took on the 4th of July. And I took a picture of the Eiffel Tower at night. It could be better if I got a shot of it from the same angle but it's different so it's slightly off.

Marshall F - Plants

This picture is titled Plants. It is a picture I took of some plants out in the courtyard. I took this picture with one of Mr. Rigsby’s cameras. I edited this picture by using the pictorialist style. I really like this picture because it looks like a painting and not many people would guess it is actually a picture. I like the hints of color in it but I wish it was a bit more colorful.

Elizabeth C- Mat Mat

This photo is titled Mat Mat. It was taken in August in the corner of her bedroom where she has a couple of little plants. This picture was taken on my camera. I edited it a very long time ago but I recently used this image for the NIK collection assignment. It would be better if the background wasn’t so bright.

Alex B- Beauty

The title of this image is Beauty. Its was taken on October 13, 2021, at around 12 o clock. I snapped this picture with my iPhone 11 pro. I could have edited the picture more than I did to increase the saturation and increase the interest value as a whole. I really like the way this picture looks and I always love taking photos of nature and its beauty.

Brandon B- The Power of the MacBook Pro

This photo is called “The Power of the MacBook Pro”, and is obviously a picture of my MacBook Pro.  I took this picture unintentionally as I was trying to make a video but I hit the photo button on accident when I took this with my iPhone 13 Pro.  It was taken March 5, 2022.  I edited this by making the white lights very energetic and bright.  I wanted it to really pop.  Overall not much editing was done to this image.  This could probably be a much better image if I actually took it intentionally.

Will B - Tabletop

The title of this image is Tabletop, I decided on this because of the tabletop game theme I chose to go with when selecting pictures to use for this composite photograph. These images were taken at various times throughout the year, and were taken either an Iphone XR ,a Nikon D3300, and a Canon Eos Rebel T3. To edit this image, I used a couple of masks, changed the opacity between different layers, and used a few different blending modes. I just edited this recently, so I am quite happy with it as it is now.

Hellen A- Analog Efex Pro

The title of this image is “Analog Efex Pro.” I took this image on August 26 in my front yard. I took it with my Canon Rebel T7. I added a blue filter and the analog efex pro. I think I could’ve brightened the picture a little bit more.

Paris C- I See You

This image is named I See You because of the eyeballs in the image. This image was taken at school but there are more images combined to make one. I love this image so much.

Bradley B- Prince

I named this picture Prince. It was taken in Rodeo Drive located in Beverly Hills, California. It was taken with an iPhone 13 Pro.I edited using the Analog Efex Pro on Photoshop. I feel like the project didn’t need to be better.

Emily B - Lake time

I Photoshopped these images together for our composite assignment. I took the lake picture with my phone and the clock picture was taken with a DSLR camera originally for the name with pictures assignment. I took pictures of the birds at the beach over the summer. When I pasted the clock on the lake I cut off the bottom to make it look like it was just in the sky. Also, I added a bird on the hand of the clock and random birds in the air. I wish I could have made the edges of the clock more even, but overall, I like how it turned out.

Emily B- Ferris Wheel

This photo is titled “Ferris Wheel,” and it was taken at Gulf Shores. I took it with my Iphone 11. I really like this photo because of the movement in it and the bright colors in it. I used this photo for the pictorialist and composite assignments also. I edited it by increasing the contrast and decreasing the lighting some to enhance the ferris wheel more. If I could change anything I would remove the tree in front of the picture but overall I really like how it turned out.

Carol A- The Unknown

The title of this image is The Unknown, this photo was taken Jan 5, 2022, in my backyard, it was taken with my iPhone 11. What I did to edit this photo turned the brightness and the saturation down, I think it could have been better if I cropped the sides a little.

Evelyn A - The Scare of the Fall

This image is titled The Scare of the Fall. It was taken at Walmart in September. I took it with a Nikon Coolpix L830 camera. I edited the picture by cropping and using blending options. It could be better if perhaps it was cropped a bit more. I do wish I could have manipulated it more to make it more abstract.

Madilyn B- Words of the Sky

This photo is called Words of the Sky. It is a group of photos taken throughout the year of 2021. Most of them were taken at my house. The sunset, however, was taken at Whole Scoop. All of these photos were taken with my Nikon D40. I combined all the photos and then adjusted the opacity and added a filter to darken the shadows. This photo could be better with more distinction of these individual images.

Grace A- Highway 150

The title of this image is Highway 150. It was taken on an overpass overlooking the highway at night, on February 14th, 2022. The photo was taken with a Nikon D50, using a 30 second exposure to get the streaks of light. I edited it by darkening the whole image and changing the color of the sky to be more blue rather than black. The colors of the car lights were adjusted from a bright red to more of a pink color, and the white to a blueish color. Lastly, I added a bokeh to the edge of the photo. This image could be better if the dust had been wiped off the lens beforehand so that there weren’t specks of color in the photo.

Will A- Margeaux

This image is called “Margeaux” and was taken in my backyard. I am unsure of when I took it, but I really like how it turned out. I didn’t do much editing, but I think I increased the contrast. I took it on my phone. If I were to try to improve it, I would probably have taken it a bit farther away and lowered the saturation to some degree.

Sidney A- Butterfly

This is a picture of a butterfly, this was taken sometime last year in my apartment complex. I edited the lightning on this image just a little. I think it would be better if I could really see the butterfly instead of its wings. Overall I really love the color pattern on it.

Tyler G - Men In Blue

The name of this image is Men In Blue and it was taken at Hoover High School. I took this image a couple weeks ago using a DSLR camera. I edited this picture by changing the hue in one layer and then selected my subject and cut him out of the picture. I then used a gray filter on the layer without him and pasted it on top with color. I also messed with the contrast, brightness, and sharpness. I think this image turned out pretty good and think it could have been better if I had more time to take the shot and more shots. Last thing I have to say is shoutout Devin for being in the halls for this shot!

Alex B- Mom

The title of this photograph is Mom. This was taken at my house in Lake Wilborn, in Hoover. It was taken at around 9:30 at nightstand was snapped with my Iphone 11 pro. This picture was edited by increasing shadows around the edges of the image and increasing contrast to focus on the main sections of the photograph. I could have paid more attention to detail and shifted the colors around to change the way it looked and increase the value of the image a whole. Overall the photo came out to a reasonable degree of what I wanted it to look like.

Marshall H -- Jayden

The name of this picture is ‘Jayden.’ It was taken near Halloween last year, my partner was dressing up as the character Shinji Ikari from the hit show Neon Genesis Evangelion. It was taken by an iPhone X, and not much editing was done. Just some cropping. I wish the background was a little bit barer and closer to the reference image, lol.

Hailey D- Running

This photo was taken at school in the courtyard on February 8, 2022. This was taken on the Canon T6. I didn't edit this picture but I could edit it by making the background blurred to make her seem as though she’s running really fast.

Madison S- Frog

This picture is called tiny frog and I took it last summer. I was at the beach and I caught a small tree frog. The picture probably would be better if it was cropped.

Gabby W- Amethyst

I took this photo in the car coming back from eating at a restaurant. I took this photo with my iPhone on night mode, so I could get a good blur shot. While eating I increased the vibrance and saturation. I also added a bit of a pink tint to the photo, which gave it an overall purple look.

Tyrick H- On the Highway

This is an image I took on the way to my brother's house. Took this image while driving on the highway which was a very risky decision. This picture was taken with my iPhone 11 Pro. I thought it would have been a pretty awesome image to take and I was like this would be perfect for my next blog comment. I haven't really edited this image, just cropped it a little.

Raven L- Reposeful

This picture is called Reposeful and was taken in my room sometime over the last month with my Canon eos rebel 2i. I slowed the shutter speed down a lot while shining a light on the smoke to try and enhance it. I upped the contrast and saturation to make it more dramatic.

Santo P- Montgomery HWY

I took this picture 6 days ago at Montgomery hwy at 8:00 pm I was buying tacos

Alexia T - Pictoralist 4

The title of this image is “Pictoralist 4”. It is my second favorite of the pictorialist images used for this week's project. I don't know what I could have done to make this a better picture but I would love to hear suggestions. (Filter used: patchwork from the texture section)

Maddie T- Concert Crowds

This photo is titled “Concert Crowds” and it is a photo of the guitarist to the band waterparks at their concert in Atlanta. It was taken with a Canon t-100 and edited in photoshop. I brightened it up and played with the levels and I am really excited with how it came out

Adam T- Supra

The title of the image I took is called Supra. This is the name of the car and it was taken in a Mountain Brook parking lot at a car meet I went to a day prior. It was taken with my iPhone 10 XR and all that was done to it was the cropping of some of the parking lot and a bit of the sky so I can bring the focus of the car out more. I feel like it could be better if I scooted back a bit before taking the picture so I can get all the details of the Supra in the shot without cropping much. Overall, I like how it turned out…

Mia N - Outdoors

This picture was taken behind the school a few weeks ago. I took this picture with a Canon EOS Rebel T6i. I edited it by adjusting the brightness and cropping it. I think that if I had edited a little bit more it would be better, maybe fix some blemishes.

Mary P- Concert

This photo was taken on January ,29 2022. It was at the Riley Green concert at the Bjcc. I edited it by cropping it. I like this photo because it has Riley Green in it and the light in the back is the American flag. It was taken with my iphone 12. I titled this image concert because we were at a concert. It could be better by adding a little more light to it.

Aidan P- Painted Cactus

This picture was taken at a botanical garden in a really hot building because of the plants there. I really wasn’t trying to do this image for photography then because I was really just trying to get some pictures of the plants for memories. This one didn’t have the best angle or background mostly because it was in a building, but I still like the colors. When I tried the filter on it that made it look like a painting I thought it was a whole lot better and brought out the colors more. Overall I like it pretty good.

Trevor P- Another Day in Paradise

This image was taken February 21st in Gulf Shores on the jetis. I took this picture with my iPhone while fishing with the view of the sun setting behind the gulf. I used the .5x lens on my phone, I didn't do much to the image editing besides cropping it a little. I like how this photo came out. It shows a good POV of what I saw standing on the rocks.

Brooke J- Rapunzel

The title of this image is Rapunzel because this flower reminds me of the flower from the movie Tangled. It was taken in my backyard on August 29, 2021, after it had rained. It was taken with my Canon EOS digital rebel xs. I lightened the image a bit and cropped it. I feel like it could be better by being more focused on the flower because the side is blurred.

Courtni D- Spinning

This photo was taken on February 11th of this year in the courtyard. It was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T6, one of Mr. Rigsby’s cameras. All I did was crop the photo. I should have fixed the lighting and exposure.

Ayla S- Quads

The title of this image is “Quads,” because it is a picture of my brother playing the quads. It was taken in September 2021 at a Simmons football game. It was taken with my EOS Rebel t6 Canon camera. I removed a few distracting factors from the background, and altered the coloring/brightness. I think this could have been better if i could have removed the orange cone in the background. It is really distracting to me.

Jack L- Sam

The title of this photo is SAM. This was taken in the studio, during the portrait assignment. It was taken with rebel T6. I didn't do anything to this photo.

Evelyn A - Christmas Corner

This photograph is named Christmas Corner. I took this photo in December at the City Hall. I used a Nikon Coolpix L830 to take the picture. I edited the image by cropping the image and using the HDR Efex Pro filter. To make the image better I could have taken it from a different angle to where it was symmetrical.

Caeden H- Sunbathing

This photograph is called “Sunbathing”. I took this image in my house during golden hour on February 15th of this year. I took this picture with my Iphone 12 pro and used photoshop and the photos app to edit it. I increased the exposure, contrast, color, and shadows to edit this image. I also went in with the clone tool to remove some stray hairs and other things. I think this image could be better if I took out the pillow my cat was laying on so that she was the main focal point in the image. This is my favorite image that I have taken so far this year.

Connor G- NYC

I took this one a few years ago when I went to New York. I took this one with my iPhone on top of the Empire State Building. I adjusted the lighting because the lighting was really bad from that high up at, like, 9 pm. I thought it looked cool and is one of my favorite pictures that I took on top of the skyscraper.

Brandon B- New England Patriot

This photo is titled “New England Patriot”, as this photo is a macro shot of my Mac Jones Patriots Jersey.  This was taken on February 22, 2022, in my bedroom.  I got the jersey very recently, and wanted to use it for a picture.  I’m really happy with how clear and ho much detail I was able to capture in a very small surface area.  As this was the very top of the jersey.  It was taken with my iPhone 13 Pro on the wide angle lense.  Editing the photo was pretty simple, just some basic dodge and burn to get the correct lighting that I wanted.  One thing that I think could have been improved is the lighting,  as the general lighting when taking the photo was poor.

CAROLINE M- Mardi Gras

This photo is called Mardi Gras. It was taken in the French Quarter, New Orleans, Louisiana February 19,2022. I took this shot with my Nikon D3300. How I edited this was I turned up the contrast and the vibrance to give more color to my sisters Mardi Gras mask. This picture was an accident but I’m super happy how it came out.

Liv Riggs - Dice Roll

This image is called Dice Roll. It was taken in the studio with my Nikon D3300. I edited this photo by increasing the brightness and decreasing the contrast. I also touched up the background by painting over anything that wasn’t black. I think this photo could have been better if there were a more noticeable difference between the background and the table. Same with the dice and the background. I wish the backdrop were grey or white instead.

Ani W- Bella

I’ve titled this image Bella because that is my dog’s name, and I cound’t really think of another name. This image was taken with my Canon EOS Rebel T7 on Jan. 30th around 6pm in my backyard. I used an IOS of 800 and edited/cropped the image using a warmed toned filter, adding some noise to make the filter have this 70’s aesthetic. I think this image could have gone without the filter, but the warm tones make the picture seem like the movie Benji, which I LOVE.

Britney P - Single Snow

This is called “Single Snow.” This was taken on January 2, the only snow day we had, which is very sad! However, I was very happy to see the snow and be able to take a picture of it. To take the photo, I used the flash to freeze the snow in place. To edit the photo, I simply adjusted the color and brightness. I actually used this photo for the action assignment. There are many ways to make this picture better. I’m up for any suggestions. But, overall, I really like this photo.

A'Kelsa N- Euphoria

This was taken in Mr. Risgby’s room in Januray with a Canon t6. I don't think I edited it. I really like this picture. It was inspired by the Euphoria series.

Sam M - Casta's

I titled this image “Costas” this is taken at the costas in Hoover. I took it walking back from taking my blur picture. I made it black and white and highlighted the lights. It was taken with my phone. If I used my actual camera I’m sure it would be much better.
