Amelia G- Walflower

The title of this image is Walflower. This photo was taken in my front yard on September 23rd. I took this picture with my iPhone 13 and I edited it by increasing the saturation, sharpness, and highlights. I think it could have been better if the stem wasnt so thin. I really like this image because the peddles are really sharp and stick out but it also goes well with the wall behind it.

The detail of this photo is really impressive. I like how you captured the plant in complete focus and blurred the background it helps draw the eye to your focal point. The colors in this image are also very nice! Great job!

This is a very beautiful photograph that captures the last bit of life that plant has! I love how the only real color in the image is right in the middle; theres a bit of green in the back but its blurred enough that you focus your mind and sight on the leafs. I do believe its a bit underexposed, personally I would turn the exposer up just a bit more but not to much. I adore how focused this image is on the leafs I think that perfect. The DOF is perfect I wouldn’t change a thing about that. The lighting is very dull but I think that adds to the piece because it shows how lifeless that plant is. The plant is perfectly centered right in the middle i would try different angle with this image. The photograph makes me feel sad because it shows a lifeless plant thats neglected from the world. I personally would increase the saturation and hue. Give the plant just a bit more life to it. I would not hang this on my wall because of how it makes me feel but I do think other people would gladly hang it on theirs.

I really like the lighting in this photo, it makes the image "pop" more. One thing I would have done is crop down the photo just a little bit more from the top to the flower. But overall I really liked this photo, good work!
