Hannah J- Red and Yellow

This picture is called Red and Yellow and it is of some hoses on a firetruck. It was taken at a fire safety festival on October 13th using my Canon PowerShot. I edited it by increasing the saturation and the contrast a whole bunch and adding a detail extractor. It would be better if it was more centered and if it was a bit more focused.

I love the bright contrast between the colors in this photo. The yellow and red are both really vibrant and have good textures on them. I think the only way this could have been better was if the black letters on the yellow were not there, but other than that, great job.

I really like how the red, yellow, and the divider are the only things really sticking out, it brings out the color theme really well. The focus and texture are also really stand out. I think the brightness up near the top of the picture are a bit distracting, especially in the top right corner. I'm also divided on the one black mark on the one yellow hose, I can't decide if it brings or takes away from the picture. The picture overall is really well shot, and well edited. Good Job.

I love the idea of the photo and I love how the photo differs from what most people would immediately go for. I believe the photo could be better without the bright spots at the top of the hose and possibly with more focus on the hose. The photo seems focused more around the black areas.

I really like the contrast in color here between the red and yellow. And i Really like how the divider is in the center of the photo. It also kind of sets its self into a natural frame . I really would not change much at all except for maybe cropping in a little bit to get rid of the little bit of white at the bottom Overall, Great photo!

I like this photo because it uses what we learned about in the early chapters of our textbook -- lines. I like how it naturally separates the two colors in a way that makes it look meticulously edited. I think it also helps that red and yellow are pretty regularly used as contrasting colors in product design, and that they generally oppose one another in nature. The one thing I would do to change it is to crop out the tilted part on the bottom.
