Mollie E- "Home Away From Home"

This image is entitled “Home Away From Home” and was taken at my summer camp, Sumatanga. I took it with my Nikon 3400 camera. I edited this picture by decreasing the contrast and increasing the brightness slightly, as well as used the shadows and highlights too all in Photoshop. To make this image better I could have figured out a way to make the front right beam match the others better.

I like how the picture has a mix of both light and dark areas.The depth of field works great in the picture.It makes it seem like you are actually walking up to the center.

I like how the eye is clearly drawn to the cross. There is a good balance between light a dark. The cross is off centered, but I think it adds a cool effect. The setting is beautiful; I love the image, and it is definitely a keeper.

I like this image because of the way the cross is made the subject of the photo.The cross is in the middle of the image and the up side down v shape of the building draws the eyes t the cross and I like that.If there was one thing I would change it would be the cross being so dark.If the stone was dark and get light once it meets the cross I think that would be nice.
