Abby W- Coil

I took this photo around eight in the evening. I shined a flashlight near the top of the coil to reveal the shadows on the wood. To edit I increased the brightness slightly and increased the contrast. I also increased the saturation to make the warmth of the coil stand out against the cool wood. I painted a slight vignette around the edge.

This is a very interesting image. The soft focus of the background really draws your attention to the coil. The dark and warm colors bring an element of harmony to the picture. I really like the natural feeling of the wood with the rusted metal spring, it adds good contrast. The shadows and light bring the whole image together.

This image is very unique. The low light compliments the attitude of the composition. The parallel of the coil with the edge of the frame creates a sense of balance.

I love the edits you made to the image the light and dark shadows. It’s a really interesting picture with the little light coming through lets you realize how dark some of the edges are bringing out the whole photo in general.

Great photo. The shadowing technique was pretty cool by leaving gaps in it for the sun to come through. The coloring was cool to by enhancing the color f the rust and metallic shine. You made the shadows contrast pretty well from the light on the wood. i also like how it just gets darker as it gets down
