Sara A- Ready to Strike

The title of this image is “Ready to Strike”. It was taken on Sunday, October 22nd at the Birmingham Zoo. I took this with my Canon Rebel t6i, using a 75-300 mm lens so that I could zoom into the tiger’s habitat. I edited it by increasing the saturation, sharpening the image, adding a vignette to emphasize the tiger, and flipping the image horizontally. This photo is unlike any other i’ve taken before. It is a twist on my favorite kinds of photos: candids and portraits. What I find most interesting about it is that the tiger, unknowing of the picture, shows its raw and beast-like emotions.

This is a really great picture. I think if you had found a way to make the Tiger stand out more in the picture, it would look better. I think you should have also boosted the saturation a little bit. I would love to hang this picture on my wall.

I love this photo! Tigers are my favorite animal so as soon as I saw it I knew it was amazing. This was executed very well, as I know it is sometimes very difficult to photograph an animal like this. Overall, great picture! - Noah M HHS

i really like how this picture was taken. i think the lighting goes good with it and makes the orange and black stand out to the green from the grass. this also looks very detailed in the fur and whiskers. good job! i love it.

I love this picture and the way that you took it. It's very detailed, has good lighting, color, and really gives off a certain mood. It's kind of intimidating! Also, I think it's cool that you were able to get such a good shot from an animal that moves a lot. Good job, I love it!
