Carson R - Gone Surfing

This image is entitled “Gone Surfing”. It was taken in Tybee Island, Georgia on January 13, 2018. I took this image with my Nikon d3400. I brought up the contrast and saturation on this image. I also increased the clarity slightly. I think this would be better is the surf board was more distinct against the ocean.

This is a really awesome photo! I love how prominent the colors are and how the surfer is a silhouette. The only thing I would fix is make the surfboard sharper so it does not blend in with the ocean. Nice job!

I love the colors in this photo and how the surfer isn't necessarily a subject in this photo, but rather the whole picture is part of the effect. I have actually been to Tybee Island so I know the area and it's gorgeous. I would definitely frame this. - Lauren B HHS

This picture is awesome. I really like all of the colors from a sunset. I also really like the fact that the surf board blends into the water because its kind of abstract and looks like the person is just sanding on the wave. I also think that the angle the picture was taken was interesting because you're not facing the person head on. Definitely a keeper.

This photo was executed perfectly. I love how the sun shines on the water in front of the surfer. I really think the image is perfect and doesn't even need anything done differently. Great picture! Noah M HHS

Carson!! I like this picture a lot. I like how the focus was on the surfer in the water, but we get see the shadow of the surfer while the color from the sun and the waves make the figure. I also really like how the picture has the light source coming on the right side of the top if the picture. I definitely would hag this up in my room. Its a keeper!

This is a super cool photo. as someone who loves to travel and loves the beach especially, this picture is one of my favorites! This makes me want to go to the beach so bad and even more badly back to hawaii! The sunset reflecting of the water is so pretty. This picture is overall so amazing. Grace B-HHS

This picture is pretty cool. I liked how focused the surfer was. The dark vs. light was very balanced. This picture makes me feel happy.

I really love how most of this image is very bright except for the surfer who is more of a silhouette. I think this image is a great example of the rule of thirds because it looks as if he is going to continue move to the other side of the image. I really love how this image makes me feel like I am at the beach at sunset. Nice Job!

I really like this photo! The lighting is perfect with the darkness of the waves on the left side and then the brightness from the sun reflecting off the water. This photo makes me calm and relaxed. It's definitely a pleasant photo to look at and would be great on a wall somewhere. I do believe this photo though would look better if it was closer up but other than that, it's really good. Really cool photo! I really like how the left part of the image is cool toned, but then it transitions to warm tones on the right of the picture. You also incorporated lines into the the picture, which is really cool. I also really like that the light is coming from behind the subject.

This is a very cool picture. The lighting helps to viewer to focus on the dark silhouette. The subject is in a perfect spot on the picture to show the contrasts in the main colors shown in the picture. I love how there is not a lot of stuff going on in the picture but instead just a few simple colors. This picture gives a very calm and happy mood to its viewer.

I absolutely love this photo. It was PERFECTLY timed and the increase in saturation that you made to the water makes it look like the surfer is riding into the sunset. It looks very detailed and sharp which is impressive since I assume it must have already been magnified quite a bit when the picture was captured. I love the lighting balance since it makes the silhouette of the surfer stand out. Outstanding job.

This is a really cool photo. I like how you captured the surfer in the moment with the sunset reflecting against the water at the same time. Also, the lighting from the sunset really compliments the image.

I love action shots and frozen motion , so I really like this picture. I like how it works of the rule of thirds and I think the orange and blue colors from the sun and ocean create a really cool effect as it transitions across the photo. I think if you had used a faster shutter speed to capture the frozen motion of he water better that could have added to the shot, as well as if there was some more color on the subject to make it stand out more, but overall this is a really cool shot and I like it.

This photo is amazing, the light colors with the darker colors on one side just blend so well. The overall summer feel that this picture gives off is nice, a good mood sets with this picture which is definitely worth hanging up on the wall. The rule of thirds worked perfectly with the timing of this photo, great job!

This picture is amazing. I think that it is really amazing that you were able to capture this picture. I think if you had taken this an earlier time of day this picture would have looked better. But overall, this is a great picture.
