Jacob H- Composite

The title of this picture is composite because it is from the composite assignment. All 3 layers of this photo were taken in Kampsville, Illinois a couple months ago. They were taken with my Nikon D90. I layered them and used different filters and stuff an colored in the handle to contrast with the red background. It could be a little neater, but other than that love it.

The doorknob is in focus, but I'm not exactly sure what it brings to the photo other than being a background. I don't really see a depth. I believe that the knob is centered, just a little high, but it's fine. I may be getting the wrong aspect of what I should be seeing. I like how you have the black on red, it makes the branches of the tree stand out. Lots of leading lines from the trees that I am following trying to find an end. In my opinion it's a bit dark, and needs some lighted areas. This picture makes me confused, not exactly sure what's happening, but the only thing I can see from it is that the doorknob is the entrance to the forest, or maybe symbolizing and entry to a new philosophical view. Don't know.

I like the concept of this photo. However, it seems as if the trees overlap the doorknobs. I would have masked the branches out where they overlap the door. In addition, I think it could've been cropped to seem a bit more balanced. I like the saturation of the red, and its contrast with the black trees. The lighting is good, but I think you could've dodged and burned to make it a little more dramatic. Overall, though, I think it's a cool image though.

I think this image is really nice. The mount for the doorknob is a little out of focus. The contrast of the doorknob and the wood is really good. The tree on the right is thicker than the one on the left so if kind of throws the image off balance. Other then that the over all image is good.

I really like this picture . I love the colors in this photo because I feel like they correspond with each other perfectly. I like the trees in the background. It makes the picture look for nature like. I wouldn't do anything to change this picture. Overall its a really good shot.

I really like this photo! The contrast is really good. However I think you should have masked out the branches that are overlapping the doorknob. But i like how the branches show up so well on the red background. Overall i like the idea of this picture.

I like this picture and the way the red background contrasts with the black trees. I also really like the way that you gave the appearance that the tree was engraved into the doorknob instead of masking around it at the bottom of the doorknob. I think the only thing i don't particularly like is left side of the tree line being so much thinner than the right side.

Nice composite! I like the focus on all parts of the images. It works very well in this image combination. The photo is very balanced too, mostly because of the trees. The mood I feel that was intended was mystery and it definitely is mysterious. Great job overall.

This is a really good composite. I like the color of the background; it really makes the door handle pop. I like how the tree branches around doorknob and doesn't cover it that much. The detail and contrast is very nice. Overall, it's a really cool photo!

I really like this picture! I really like how the trees split and the doorknob fits right into the crack. I also like the darkness of the trees and the brightness of the red background. The mood is mysterious and I like that in a picture.
