Chris C- KiKin

The image i chose is named “KiKin”. I took this picture during fifth period in the library with one of my good friends. i took this photo with my mothers Canon T2i because its a fun camera to use. i liked the over all dark gloomy feel to the photo but it wasn’t enough so i made it slightly darker in iPhoto. this photo coulee been better if i would’ve zoomed out just a tad and focused a lithe more on his face.

Nancy N- Delectable Delights

“Delectable Delights” is a photo of French desserts called macaroons. Over spring break this year, my family went to southern California where this photo was taken using my iPhone. I didn’t edit or filter this picture but if I were to alter the photo, I would straighten the photo. The box of 6 was $13.00 (which was expensive) but none the less worth it! The yellow pastries were lemon flavored, the cream- colored pastries were caramel flavored and the red pastry was raspberry flavored. The lemon flavor was my favorite.

Nick G - Glass

The title of my picture is broken glass, I took it in 8th grade in my photography class in the bumps parking lot. The picture was taken with a Canon Powershot SX500 IS. To edit it I made the temperature cooler and and edited the exposure. I don’t really think I could make it any better besides have it more focused.

Jordan H- Ball is Life

The title of my selected image is “Ball is Life”. It was taken on August 16th, 2014 in my yard. I took this photo with my Canon EOS Rebel t3i. To edit it, I blurred a few imperfections, lightened it, and strengthened the saturation and definition. A way this image could be better is if the background was blurrier. It would put more emphasis on the ball and cleats.

Chris B- Prince of Peace

I took the photo about a week ago at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with my Sony Cyber-shot camera. I edited the photo with iPhoto and it is perfect. I like the picture because of my religion is a very big part of my life.

Brianna S - Boat Doc

This picture was taken at a boardwalk in Destin, Flordia with my family a couple weeks ago, and I took it with my Nikon D3200 with a zoom lens. I edited it by adding a black and white filter on it, sharpening the image, and increasing the saturation and contrast. I believe it would be better without the three polls in the front so the picture isn’t as busy, especially the one on the far left. It could also be improved by making it so the sand in the background doesn’t blend in so much with the sky towards the end of the area. This picture really reminds me of Monterey, CA because of all the fishing boats that were there and the many times that my family considered getting a boat ourselves.

Jackson H- Yellowstone Fog

This photo was taken june of this year in Yellowstone national park. This photo was taken with my dads android phone. When editing I increased the definition to the max, cut out some of the shadows, and used the enhance feature. It would have been a lot better if I had brought a decent camera although the phone takes good pictures it isn’t as good as a regular camera.

Rachel P- Pier

Pier was taken July 13, 2014 at a pier in St. Augustine, FL. I took this picture with my phone, and the editing I did on it was just enhancing it, and giving it some more shadows, and sharpening it slightly. I think this picture could be better if I had bigger waves crashing in the back, but other than that, I really like the outcome of this picture.

Cierah S-Hopeless Wanderer

The title of this picture is Hopeless Wanderer. It was taken March 18, 2011 in Venice, Italy. This was taken with my Nikon camera. I edited it by putting an effect on it, sharpening it to bring out the cracks, and brightened it. It could be better without the people at the bottom right corner. I really like this image because i love the building, how it’s cracking and crumbling, and i like how my mom did not know i was taking this, she was actually taking her own picture.

Amaan L--Beats Music

The title of my picture is Beats Music. the picture was taken last week at my house. It was taken with my camera. I boosted the color and made the picture more warm. i chose the picture because i like listening to music and beats make the music clear and and enhances parts of the music.

Desha R- Okinawa

The name of the image i selected is entitle Okinawa Island. It was taken July 20th in Okinawa , Japan. It was taken with a Sony Alpha 5000. I Edited it by enhancing it and highly increasing its exposure and sharpness. i don’t think it could get any better.

Anna Grace D- Key Largo

This picture was taken in Key largo, Florida on June 5, 2014. I used my iPhone to take the photo. When I edited it I brightened it and made the sharpness more detailed. To make it better I wish that I could go into certain areas and make it more detailed and less detailed in the background. This image is one of my favorites because it’s so cool. This was my first time in the keys so it was a really awesome experience

Jakelyn R. Sun rise

this picture was taken in front of my house, August 28, 2014 at 6:10. This picture was taken with the Canon EOS 60D. I edited this picture by using the retouch button to remove the electricity cords that were in the way in the picture, later i enhanced the picture and added the boost effect. I think this picture would’ve been better if i would’ve taken it at a higher height. I personally love this picture because it looks reality pretty how not its just the clouds but theres also trees who also drag attention yet it goes back to the clouds and the orange color.

Derek T - Fall Leaves

I took the picture, “Fall Leaves”, on March 8, 2014 at Moss Rock Preserve. I took it with my own Nikon D3100 with the kit lens set on 42mm. I edited it in iPhoto by boosting the saturation to make the orange pop and slightly sharpening it to make the leaf veins more detailed. It was slightly off center so I straightened it. I guess you could edit the little burnt spots to fix the imperfections.

Alex H- Photoblog #1

The title of my image is “Alex H-Photoblog #1”. I took it two weeks ago at my house for the About Me project. It was taken with a Nikon D70s. I edited it by cropping and enhancing. I also changed some of the levels. It could have been better if the bars weren’t in the background and if there weren’t any shadows. This picture is of my pet bird named Heisenbird.

Bella M- Lacrosse

This picture was taken in my yard on August 19, 2014. The camera i took it with was a Cannon EOS REBEL T3i. To edit this picture i increased the exposure a bit as well well as the contrast and saturation. I also defined and sharpened it more and I cooled it down. Lastly to edit it i retouched some of the plaque and my stick. This picture could be better of there wasn’t so much grass and blur on the stick.

Carolina M - A Sign of Fall

This picture was taken at Cheaha Mountain where i went camping last weekend and was taken with a Nikon D5100. I added contrast to make the colors of the leaves pop out and brightened it a little. The picture didn’t need much editing. It could have been better if I focused more on the entire picture because half of it looks blurred. I took this picture because my favorite time of the year is fall and the leave represents that fall is just around the corner.

Rachael M- This Past Summer

I took this picture on June 6th this past summer with my Iphone. i didn’t edit it that i know of unless there was a filter on that i wasn’t aware of when i took it. it could be better if there weren’t any cars in the parking lot and maybe a little less parking lot.

Carmen V- Beach

I took this picture in Panama City Beach, FL on May 24, 2014. I took the picture with my phone, I edited it with black and white filter. It could’ve been better if I took it with a camera. I took the picture while I was walking by myself in the beach.

Ben D- Parrot

The title of this photo is Parrot. I took this photo in March of 2009 on my old Nikon D60. I increased the saturation a very small amount, and added a small amount of contrast and definition. This photo could be better by getting a better angle of the subject. I took this photo when I was just getting into photography, using the family camera at the time.

Kate M.- Grayson+Moon

The title of this picture is Grayson+Moon because it is a picture of my friend, Grayson’s, hands around the moon. I took this picture while I was walking around with some friends this summer and desperately trying to take as many pictures as I could before it got completely dark. I used my Canon Rebel T3 to take this picture. When I edited this picture I saturated it so that the silhouette of Grayson’s arms would still look dark, but I also made the sky behind her a little more blue. I also tried to de-noise the picture, but it didn’t really do much. I took this picture before I really knew how to work my camera so its pretty fuzzy, I think that if I tried to recreate this picture I could make it a lot clearer because now I know how to adjust the settings to account for low light.

Austin K- 22

The picture I have chosen is from my about me assignment, is Austin K About me-22. This was taken about a week ago in my room at my mother’s house. This was taken with a cannon powershot A4000, and a 5.0-40mm lens. I edited it with a 1 fade and a 1 boost and also put the shadow definition to about haft. I feel it could be better if I would have only focused on the darts and not the bed. Some additional information is that when I stuck the darts in the board I had to be very carful because the dart would keep falling out.

Blake S- Golf Sunset

The title of this picture is “Golf Sunset.” I took this picture on number 9 tee box at Ross Bridge on February 22nd, 2014. The photo was taken with the back camera of an iPhone 5. I edited iy by highlighting it, increasing exposure, increasing contrast, increasing saturation, and increasing the definition. The picture could be better if I used a better camera. This is one of my favorite pictures I have ever taken.

Amber S- Road Trip

This picture was taken on the way home from Texas this past weekend in the car. I took this picture with my digital camera. I edited this picture using iPhoto and used the options to make the image brighter and more appealing. I could have used a better angle and held the camera steadier to allow this picture to come out better. While taking this picture I found it difficult to truly focus the camera and I like this photo because the clouds make weird shapes and are interesting to me.

Anyul M- Tiger

I took this picture at the Birmingham Zoo. I took it with a Nikon D3200 that I got for my birthday this year. To edit I used the black and white filter, I made it a bit warmer then darken it. After, I adjusted it by making the shadows lighter so you could be able to the see the tigers right eye because originally you couldn’t see it. I think the picture could have been better if may be the glass was cleaner, all the little blurry smudges you see is just the dirty glass but, at the same time I think it adds a cool effect to it in a way.

Hub R.- Mechanics

I title this image “Mechanics”. Many years of work go into being able to throw a baseball 93 miles per hour. Mechanics are a key to being able to do this great talent called baseball. I took this photo at Regions Field at work. I took it with my Canon Rebel T5. I edited it with iPhoto by increasing the exposure and the definition while keeping everything else the same. I think I could of focused my shot better and lined it up better with the thirds. That is my first photo blog!

Abbey S- Arc De Triomphe

I titled this image ‘Arc De Triomphe’ because thats the name of the structure in the picture. This photo was taken at the arc in Paris, France in the spring of 2012. It was taken with my Canon EOS Rebel camera. I don’t think I added any edit to it because there is already so much going on with it and I liked it with no edit. I think its a pretty good picture overall but if i were to make it better I would get more of the Arc in it.

Alice B- Photo Blog#1

The Photo’s name is Photo Blog #1. This is a picture I took in my house when I started digital photography class. It is the first picture I took with my Nikon COOLPIX L830. On the camera, I made it only take in the color purple, so the background is black and white. Later, I edited the purple to be brighter. I hoped that when I took the photo, I should have focused it better, because it is a little blurry. This plant is called an orchard, and my mom and I had this one for a very long time. It was also the time where the most flowers bloom on this plant, so I took the picture.

Brianna S- Sunny Days Ahead

The title of the picture i chose to use for Photo Blog #1 is named Sunny Days Ahead. I took this in January while I was at the beach. I took it with my Nikon 3100. I edited it on my laptop using the default editor that came on the computer. I cropped it and mostly just adjusted the saturation. It could be better if I have originally taken the picture to the size i wanted it so I didn’t have to crop it as much which made it blurrier. I really like this picture because it reminds me of the memories my family made on that trip. Even though it was cold we still managed to have a great time.

Crossan R- Preserve

I took this at a spot I found that I like to sit at in the preserve a few months ago in March. I took it with my Nikon d60. I edited it in iPhoto during class. It could be better if more trees and the sky were also in the photo or if you could see more of the notebook, like the second page under the first which you can see the very bottom of. This picture is of me writing in my old journal which I enjoy writing in every night usually. I don’t really write about my day or specific people more of just my feelings and emotions of that day. It helps release some of my thoughts and helps me think of what i can do better the next day.

Ryan S- Graphic Zebra- Last post till next school year. Come back in September!

I took this photo during the animal assignment with my point and shoot camera

i enhanced this photo with iPhoto and used the effects to darken the image then I used photoshops crop tool to remove some unwanted background then I added the graphic pen filter

Traci M- PupPortrait

The title of this image is PupPortrait. I took this a few weeks ago in my living room. I tok this with my cannon rebel xti and edited it with a black and white filter. I brought up the sharpness and the shadow details to focus on the fur. I added a color layer and colored her eyes with a reddish color to make the image a little  more interesting. The only thing I would change about this picture is have more equal lighting to get more detail in her face.

Gauge I- Lamp

It was taken at my dads house in florida on March 29 at 7:47
It was taken with my canon powershot
I edited it my turning it black and white ad restoring the color back to the lamp shade

It could have been better if it wasn’t as dark in the room

Matthew C- The Light of God

The title of this photo is the light of god. I chose this photo because i like the way the light shines of the front of the church. I edited this picture by bumping up the saturation and brightness up
