Raven H- Beauty in Darkness

This picture is titled Beauty in Darkness. I took this last year while driving through downtown Birmingham. I used my phone to take it but later added the black and white filter in iPhoto. The only thing I wish I could change about this image is the some what awkward looking angle. It seems straight but there is a little unevenness at the top and bottom right. Overall I really like this picture because of the detailed and aesthetic look.

I have always appreciated the tones of black and white photography and I love how unique this old building with the painted slogan is. I agree that the angle of the photograph of the photo is a little off.this could be fixed with the ruler tool in photoshop. Lastly, I like the contrast of the dark inside of the building with the light brick.

I really like this picture because i find it very unique and inspiring. I like the way the black and white contrasts with the message. i really like the fact that this picture has a clear message. i wish it was a little more straight but i still like it.

You did a great job taking this picture. I really like the black and white filter and how it brings out the words on the brick. I agree with you on the unevenness but overall it is still a great picture. I like how you put the words in the center of the page kind it brings more attention to it.

I really liked this picture I think that it is so beautiful and the shadows make the picture more mysterious. The fact that the picture was positioned at an angle mad ethe picture more interesting. Using the rule of thirds, the picture was not aligned with the middle and so that created a more aesthetic effect. The viewer is instantly attracted to the words "YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL" which is, I believe, the purpose of the image.

I really like this photo, i think it is very interesting. I like how it gives a message and more than just "You are beautiful", it is on a run down old building witch gives it more meaning and it add character to the photo. I Like the colors, How the different shades of grey and then the black.

I really love this picture. I love how the photo was edited. The choice to make it black and white was a good one. I like how the building shows a side of vintage and looks old and run down. The photo also gives an inspirational message which I really like as well. Very creative! Great job.
