Heath M.- Sunset

The title of this image in called “Sunset” and it was taken at the Hoover Country Clubs golf course at around 6:30 p.m. This picture was taken with my Canon EOS 40D and I edited it by straightening, retouching, saturating, defining, highlighting, and finally by sharpening it. I believe that this image could have been better if I had taken it at a different time; probably a little earlier in the day. Overall, I feel that this image is very well composed.

I love Heath's photo called Sunset. I really like the way the sun is captured coming out from behind trees and clouds. I think the timing is great, because if the title didn't tell you, the picture could be perceived as sunset or sunrise, which is a cool illusion. The focus is really good, because you can clearly see the trees and outlines and specific points of branches and leaves. The exposure looks pretty good despite the trees being really dark, I think it adds to the image. I think the placement is perfect, because the main focus is on the sun which is in the center toward the bottom, but you still look up at the clouds towards the top of the picture. I personally like this picture, because sunsets have always been something I enjoy. For me, they provide a feeling of calmness and serenity. Definitely a keeper.

I really like this photo and how you can see the lines of light coming from the sun. The lighting and different colors look great in the photo. I like how the the sky is so bright and the tree are very darker, I think it makes the sky look even better. The darkness of the trees also makes the line of the horizon from land to the sky more focused. I love watching sunsets and seeing all the different colors of the sky, and that is why I really love this photo. I would definitely consider this photo of the sunset a keeper.

I really love Heath M. picture of the sunset. I think he took it at the perfect time of day when the sun is going down and the sky is illuminated by the light. His main focus is on the skyline. I think he definently got the more softer focus . Although in some areas it is a little sharp. The light in the photo is a very soft elegant light. The lighting enhances the photo by a lot. there is not a cast over the photo. The white balance looks set to me.
