My image is titled “Startrail”. It was taken in Jackson Hole, Wyoming late at night by the Chapel of Transfiguration. I took this picquet with my Nikon D7000. I did thirty, two minute exposures and stacked the thirty pictures on top of one another in photoshop to get the swirling stars effect. I would like the subject (the chapel) to be a little sharper.

I am loving this picture. It looks like it's from an alien movie or something. Very neat. The house looks really out of place, but like, in an awesome space way. I like the different intensities of light coming from the stars especially.
This picture is really freaking cool. It's really cool how the sky is turning in a circle kinda and the house is just still. You did an excellent job on having the main subject in the picture centered. As you said in your story, the house could be a little more in focus but, overall an excellent picture.
I really love this picture because I like how the stars create a huge circular trail and no space is left untouched.I like how the stars create leading lines to make you look all around the picture to "get the whole picture". Dear Madelyn, this is an awesome picture! I thought the idea of stacking the thirty, two minute exposures on top of each other gave the photo a fascinating look and made me want to examine it more. I believe that due to the minimal lighting from the setting and the fact that you took thirty pictures of the same subject may have caused the Chapel of Transfiguration to be a little softer. Overall, I think what you did was very impressive and breathtaking. Definitely a keeper. Heath M.-HHS
Holy cow this is the bomb digity! This is hands down a total keeper. The light is very defined in the star streams and the hose isn't as burry as one might think at first glance. It gives a really good trippy vibe when you realize the beauty of star trails. The exposure and perfect layering really make this photo unique and amazing. Great job!

Amazing photo! It's like a movie with effects or a black hole or something how everything is swirling in the air in the circle. But I love this. I love how you caught the sky in such a fast motion and how it contrasts off of the house. I also love how you got this effect and kept the house in the picture stable. Great job!
This is such an awesome photo! I love the way the light is in like a ring form. The chapel is so cool the way the light is coming from the windows really mixes well with the rest of the light in the picture. I love this picture. It's clear that the chapel is your subject but you can also have the stars as the subject. The lighting of the chapel is great from the light coming from inside. It's like from a Star Trek movie, or show, when they go into warp. The trees being dark in the background is a great touch. It really makes the stars pop out more. -HHS Sarah Hutnak
This picture and the swirling star effect you created. This image makes me want to hop into the picture and stargaze all night. The amount of exposure you used to get this effect is really nice. I agree with you in that the focus on the chapel could have been more focused. By using the Rule of Thirds and having the chapel be in the right or left corners, the image could have been a little better. But overall, this is a very cool image!

I really enjoy this photo. I love what did with stacking the photos on top of each other to get the swirling effect. I really enjoy how the Chapel is still the center of attention by being in the middle but at the same time the background behind it is pretty crazy. I really think this picture would be nicer if it was still. with just the stars and chapel, not having it look like a "Startrail" I feel like having the trail of stars takes away from the subject in the picture. But I stil really enjoy this photo. Landon H - HHS
I love the photo taken. The Focus of this photo is sharp it help the lighting of the sky. The lighting enhanced the colors of the stars and the color of the cabin. The leading line make the image more exciting. Their is a balance of color and light and darks that That I'll draw a person to it uniqueness. This is a photo that should be a on a wall of fame.

I think this is a very good photo. It has very nice coloration and was done very well. I think it could be better if the chapel were more in focus than it is. all around it is a good picture and looks great the way it is
I really like this photo and think you did a really good job of also having the house in the foreground of your picture. I agree with you when you said the chapel could be a little sharper, but overall still a really great picture. The colors of the stars looks really cool and chill the way you stacked all the pictures together. Great picture!
