The name of this photo is Pencil Flower, I took this photo at Hoover High School near the E hallway outside and i took it 2 weeks ago. I edited this photo by using filters it to make it into a pictorialist. I could have made this picture better by fixing the blue lines on the brick wall an could had crop the brick wall off.

Chris, this is a very cool photo. In regard to a technical area, the lighting is very good. The sunlight appears to be hitting the leaves of the “Pencil Flower.” In regard to a composition area, I like how the pink petals and some of the leaves are centered in the middle third of the photo. I also like how there is nothing in the left third but then the stalk of the flower is in the right third. In regard to an aesthetic area, I really do like this photo and would absolutely consider it a keeper. I think it would serve well as a framed photo. I also love how much more artistic value is given to the photo due to its pictorials features. This is a great photo!
