Gage W- Abandoned

I named this photo Abandoned because of the overall atmosphere of the photo. This was taken at a rundown country club with my Nikon D3330. This photo isn’t edited in the slightest.

This is a really cool shot. I like the shadows and how defined the chairs are. Also, I like how you can see the trees in the background through the window. This looks like a really chill place. Nice shot.

I like this picture. the way the chairs are thrown on the floor gives it a dark feel, and it has lighting that gives off a gloomy feel as well. I like how it was taken so close to the floor. It shows how big that room actually is, and it gives a nice view through the windows.

Hey Gage, this picture is really interesting. The redundancy of shapes and the contrast of values in this shot really make it work. The rectangular, orderly, reoccurring shapes of the windows helps to give a strong background for the irregular silhouetted chairs to stand out against. Also, the strong contrast of the scene really bring the subjects (the chairs) out more, given that they such a hard jet black compared the gradient of grays outside. Also the backlighting and white accenting on the chairs and floors really brings out the advanced darkness of the room, while giving it feasible dimension. The ceiling didn’t need to be lit though, and I think going over it with a burn tool and darkening it out of the shot completely would really be to the images favor. Otherwise, I cannot find any other fault with this shot, so well done indeed.

Great picture! I think the focus being directed towards the chairs and being nice and sharp is appropriate for this picture. The dark and light areas how it goes dark then light and dark again really makes this a more interesting picture. I definitely think this story of a run down country club is portrayed with the arrangement of chairs.

I really like this picture! The exposure and balance is just right. I like how the chairs are centered in the photo, I think it makes the shot more powerful. I love the contrast of the dark shadows inside the country club and the light skies outside. This image makes me want to just chill and hang out. Great job!

Gage, I am quite impressed just by the fact the picture looks great even though it is not edited in the slightest. I love the dark taste you have on it. It does give off the feeling off being abandoned, so props to that. I really like that dark vs light areas composition of the photos. I feel like it's just great. I feel like there is a story behind this photo, because it reminds me a bit about abandonment as you said in the title. So wonderful name for the photo. Great job Gage, there is absolutely nothing I would want to change.

Cool pic!!!!!!! I really like how dark this picture is but the light that comes in through the window. I feel like this picture tells its own story and I love that you didn't even have to edit it. This picture could be better if maybe it showed more of the room so we could see more, but overall its amazing! I would defiantly hang this on my wall!
