Maya H- Forbidden Love

The title of this photo is “Forbidden Love,” jokingly referring to the person in the photo on the right and the rubber chicken on the left. It was taken on October 10, 2023 in the courtyard at the Vestavia Hills City Center. I took it on a Canon EOS Rebel SL1 camera. The main thing I did editing-wise was add a pink tint, clarify the image more, and add a vignette. I think it could be better if the rubber chicken was a bit more in focus.

I think the mood of the photo is adorably funny, the scene feels very familiar to Romeo and Juliet but in a joking way. I do agree that the focus could've been better and your friend could've been positioned higher in the photo so there isn't so much empty space. Overall, I think you did a good job! - KM

Perspective and the rule of thirds is used very well here. I especially like the lighting and the pink tint. The only thing I would change is maybe removing the hand from the shot. It makes it look less like a "forbidden love" situation and more like someone dropping something to someone. Other than that, this image is very well composed and I like it.

The perspective of the photo is really cool. It feels like a scene from an old romance play or something. Both subjects are clear and the intentions of the picture is understood well. Overall good picture in my opinion.

This photo is very fun! I love the perspective/angle that you took the photo at. I feel like I'm watching like a film. I like the lighting along with the pink item as a pop of color. The only thing I would change is the title because I feel like the photo is telling a different story that what the title is expressing. Overall, I like this photo.

I love this photo! I was scrolling through the blog and actually laughed out loud when I saw Katt and the chicken. The rule of thirds is used very well and I love the pinkish tint of the image. Only thing I would change is to make the hand not as noticeable or to do without it entirely :)
