Ryan F- Walk On By

The title of this picture is “Walk On By.” It was taken on March 4th, 2016 in the Lake Cyrus neighborhood. It was taken with my KODAK Z990. I edited it by changing the colors, lighting, and adding black and white effects. It could be better if the colors had changed better during editing.

Ryan, this is a very cool photo. I love how the legs of the person walking are translucent. It gives the illusion that the person is walking and also conveys a sense of time. In regard to a technical area, the lighting is very good. The lighting isn’t so bright that it overexposes the walkway or the person and isn’t so dark that you can’t see all aspects of the photo clearly. In regard to a composition area, the leading lines aspect of the photo is very good. The leading line starts in the lower left of the photo and travels deeper into the photo as the eyes move to the right. In regard to an aesthetic area, I really do like this photo and would absolutely consider it a keeper. I love the illusion provided by the translucent legs and the leading line aspect. I think the photo would serve well as a framed photo or desktop background. You did a great job with this photo!

I like this picture because the legs are in focus enough to be able to interpret the story of the image. I really like the neutral colors of the picture as well. My favorite part of the image would be the low opacity of the person walking that just emphasizes the tone of the story.
