Matthew R - Breckenridge Sky

This photo is titled Breckenridge Sky, because that’s what it is. I took it in Breckenridge, CO, a few weeks ago when I was skiing. I took it at about 10:00 at night with a Canon 6D and 10-24mm lens. I edited it, removing the color cast from the light behind me, boosting contrast, saturating the sky, and using gradient filters to add color and frame the image. It could be sharper and cleaner, but I think it’s a cool image overall.

This photo is incredibly beautiful. i really love the way you edited it. My favorite thing bout this photo is how you made the sky light blue and it had vibrance but you left the rest of the picture neutral. This was a bold move but you pulled everything together in the end. I would definitely frame this picture and display it in my living room. Great job

This photograph is a great piece of art! The sky is very clear, and the landscape is incredibly vibrant, despite the few colors in it. The light glare at the top of the photo is nicely centered. The only issue I could find is that the landscape is too greyscale, and a little bit awkward with the skyline, and just having the landscape less saturated than the sky (rather than completely unsaturated) would've been nice. Other than that, a fine piece of work.
