Jessica P- James at Night

I took this picture of my brother over Christmas break at South Shades Crest elementary school.  I had a hard time getting a picture that had enough light to see him well.  The only lights were the street lights and the lights from the wheels, so I had to brighten it up a lot in Photoshop.

This picture is really cool looking. I like how the lights on the wheels are bright and really bring out the picture. I love pictures that show motion and blur in the background because it shows the subject clearly and blocks out the distracting background

Nice job. The streaky blurred background makes James look like he's going really fast, but more importantly it brings the focus to him instead of the background. The cyclist is clearly the subject. The red lights in particular look beautiful. The only recommendation I have is to play with the black and white. I'm curious to see what it would look like if you could get a black and white picture with just the red and purple with the glow on the ground. Again, great job!

This is really awesome! It looks like you used a motion blur or something for the background and it's cool! II also like how the color of the wheels come out. It looks like your brother is still and everything else is moving. I also like how he's slightly to the left of the frame. Great job!

I like this image because it looks really cool. The lights on the wheels and the background really make the focus of the image stand out. The rider seems in focus and in his element while the image was taken. You could have made the picture better by maybe choosing a better camera and using a different contrast. Otherwise, good job!

This is a really cool image. I really like how the image is in motion, but your brother is in focus. I also like how the lights on the wheels stand out. The feel to this image is very unique and I wouldn't change anything.
