Andrew L - Filters-pictorialists

This is a photo that I took for the Pictorialist assignment.  I took it in St. Louis next to the arch, and the lighting seemed to be just right.  The main adjustment that I made to it was a charcoal filter, but the blending was the key to make the dark spot on the top with less near the bottom.

This picture is AWESOME! I really enjoy looking at this because it looks like it might have been in the morning with alittle bit of fog. I love to look outside and see the mornings like that. The lighting is cool looking to!

This picture looks like it's telling a story. I like how you made the background blurry and you focussed on the tree.

I really like this picture. I like how the tree stands out from everything else. Its even better that the background is grey and the tree is completely black. Overall it is a great photo.

Beautiful. I love rainy weather and the dull grey tone to the picture captures that perfectly. The tree is a silhouette in a muffled background light, giving off a creepy vibe to the picture. I would have reduced the scratchiness around the tree. Otherwise, fantastic job.

Great picture! This picture looks great because it has a foggy/scary look to it, which makes it look awesome. I like how the colors are black and white. The lightning also looks nice and it looks like its telling some sort of story. Really like this photo.
