Erik S- New Years

The title of my selected image is “New Years” as this is a photo that I took of the 2021 New years fireworks outside my house. This is an image I took with my phone (Google Pixel XL). I edited the photo first by cropping the image so that it was 14x11 inches and so that the firework was at the center point of the image. In addition to cropping, I also used the “smart sharpen” tool on Photoshop to make the image less blurry than it was. A good story behind this photo is that this was actually taken the night of january 1st, because at 12am, it was raining.

This looks really cool! I love the crispness of the firework! The dark image makes the firework look like it's placed onto a black background. I like how the firework colors compliment the background. I think that one thing which might make it look a little more interesting is if the background of the sky had stars in it. I can't remember how the sky was that night, but if there were some stars, then it might add some more depth to the photo. However, it still looks amazing as it is.

Really Cool! I like how the fireworks shine and look clear. Great editing, too! The fireworks really stand up with the background/ night sky. Overall, it's a nice photo and a great job on editing!

This picture is absolutely amazing if you look at it a certain way it looks like noodles standing up straight. It would look cooler if it had other fireworks with it or brighter color in the fire work. Overall its a great photo. It almost feels like the picture is saying there is always hope in the world even if you don't see it.

This picture is so beautiful I love firecrackers. I love how the background is not so overshadowing. it really brings out the pop of the firecracker so that the colors come out wonderful.

Wow, this looks amazing! I think that the black sky really highlights the brightness and saturation of the fireworks. However, I think there is a lot of blank space. Maybe if were to zoom in, it would make it more visually appealing. Or, maybe taking the same picture, changing the color and orientation and overlapping them. If I had any critiques, it would just be visual interest. Otherwise, this is very well done.

This Photo is very well executed, the isolation of the fire work in the dark black night is helping the fire work to pop out even more then it already does. The main focus is very clear and sharp, it can even be an illusion if you look into it for a long time. The lighting balance is satisfactory and gives the image depth. I like the composition and how other fire works aren't entering the photo and making it destructive, The framing is righteous. I think to mood intended by the photographer was excitement, Enjoyment, seclusion , or at least thats what I think that is being interpreted.

This is such a cool photo. I really like how the image is literally just of the fireworks. I like how it feels like it is just one thing in the abyss. All in all a great picture. I know it was taken on a phone, but if you were able to take it with a real camera and make the shutter speed super fast it w=could help. But with a phone this is an absolutely awesome image.

This picture is so cool!I really like how the whole picture is black except for the fireworks themselves because it really makes them stand out. IT was a good idea to use the smart sharpen in Photoshop because the picture looks like it has a very sharp focus really making the fireworks clear and precise.I also liked how you cropped the picture to where the fireworks where in the center because it really makes the fireworks stand out and it makes the picture more interesting.Your picture is really good and it looks professional. I gives you kind of summer vibes. Great job!
