Mary B- Cotton Sunset

The title of this photo is “Cotton Sunset”. I took this photo in the cotton field behind my grandparents house during sunset. I took this photo with my canon rebel t3i camera. I didn't do much editing to this photo except for increasing the brightness a little bit. This photo could be better if I got rid of the weird line in the background, but overall I am happy with the image.

I think this is a really neat image! I love the soft colors that contrast with the dark colors of the plants. I also like how you played with the depth of field here and how the plants closest to you are the most in focus. This is a very pretty picture! Good Work! -Ella F.-HHS

I really like this photo! I think that the soft lighting of sunset in the background adds to the overall feeling of the photo. The focus on the plant and it being the main subject adds to the background and does not take away from the sunset either. Overall I really enjoy this photo, and think you did a great job!-MRM HHS

I think this picture looks really cool! I like how the background is blurred so it focuses more on the cotton but you can still see the colors of the sunset. Overall this is a great picture.-Hannah B. HHS

I really like this picture! The way you edited it really helped to bring out the colors in the back, but kept it with the same soft and dreamy effect. I also really like the silhouettes of the cotton- super cool!

I really like this photo! With the photo being at sunset, the brightness of everything flows with each other, and there are no spaces that are too dark or too light (considering the setting). The focus is good as well, with everything but what's center in the photo being blurred out. With that being said, the use of the rule of thirds to have the focus being almost perfectly center adds more to the photo's detail. Overall, this is a photo that I can imagine being the background in a nature magazine or something like that. Very good photo!

Wow, I really like this image! I like how there is a strong separation between the foreground and the background. Good job with your aperture. I like the colors in the background. Even though there is a lot of color, the muted values really add to the tone of the image. If I were to change anything, I might just move the camera closer to the subject. Very well done!
