David M - Montevallo Columns

The title of this photo is Montevallo Columns.  To edit this photo I put a gradient starting in the bricks and working its way outward.  I also changed the photo to black and white and I used the burn and dodge tool to add contrast and highlights.

I think changing it to black and white was a good idea. The shadows from the columns really stand out and the designs on the column are really detailed.

I like the symmetry in this photo on either side, it gives the photo a good, almost more proper composition. i like the way the shadows look as well. the black and white works well for this, ad helps to highlight the detail of the columns. good job!

I really like the details in the image and the shadows of columns. I like how you changed the image to black and white and how the image is almost symmetrical. Great picture!

I like the sharp focus of the picture which really brings out the texture and detail in the design of the columns. The cropping of the photo works well to create balance and symmetry in the photo and looks better than it would have if it were just one column in the picture. Overall, I like this picture because it is very clear and the detail on the columns looks very good.

I love this picture! I loved that you made it black and white. I also like how you brought out the highlights. The composition is just wonderful and simple. Excellent!

I think the best part of this picture is how sharp the focus is. Without the sharpness, the architecture would be difficult to identify. I will have to say that the shadows are a little distracting behind the columns, but its not too bad; at least there are good light areas on the column. Overall, it is a good picture, and I like the simple, black and white feel.

This is a great picture. The sharpness and focus of the picture are great. Making it black and white really brought out the shadows. This is an all around great picture.
