Will B - Candle Cat

I took this picture at my front porch on October 3, 2021 around 9pm. I raised the total brightness and increased saturation of some areas with the sponge tool as well as some minor spot cleaning. The image itself could have been a bit sharper, and I should have spent more time adjusting the camera settings to adjust for the dark scenario. It was really fun to play with the lighting and see how shutter speed, ISO and Aperture changed the image. Lighting is definitely one of the most fun things I have done so far with photography. This image was for the Day and Night photo assignment, which was the first time I learned how to change the camera settings as well as begun to delve into photoshop. Overall, the image itself isn’t great, but it brings together many different skills that I am excited to learn more about and improve at.

I really like this photo! I like how the candles contrast with the background. I wish the candles were sharper so we can see the flame. I would also make it more focused on the candles. But I really like how balance the photo is! This photo also gives Halloween vibe because the colors are very warm.

This photo is cool! I like how you used the rule of thirds well. Maybe next time try and get your camera to focus on the candles. That would allow us to see them in more detail. Really love this photo though, very cool.

This photo is very cool. I love how the candles are the main attention of the photo and they really brighten up the room. It gives the photo a good warm feeling of color without having too much light. I agree with the previous comment on focusing on the candles but overall really great photo. would hang thins photo on my wall during halloween because it gives a sppoky mood.
