Alex Burroughs- The Kingdom of Pete

I called this The Kingdom of Pete, This photo was taken in my sunroom in my house. It was taken on March 25, 2020, and it was taken by my Canon EOS REBEL T3. I edited this by using the Photos Application and upping the saturation, the exposure, lowering the highlights, upping the definition and adding a vignette. It would be better if i had cleaned his eyes and the cat tree of the cat hair, as well as getting more of his body in the photo. This is my cat and he's a sweet boy :D .

The focus and framing of the cat is very nice with pete being in well lighting with a soft background to draw attention to him more. I really like the kind of abstract of the framing because he isn't directly center or fully in the image. I like the idea of you trying to get the actual picture because I think it would have been sorta hard to get him to cooperate lol

First off, I agree with your conclusion that he is a sweet boy. Now, on to the techicnal aspects, and there is a lot I personally like here. I think you got the exposure just right. Any lighter and the image becomes too much, any darker and we don't get to see your boy in his full glory. I think the sharp focus was a good decision, because it works with the main subject. I do think that the image could have been composed a tad bit better. There is a part of me that is distracted by the fact that both if his ears are cut off. However, all that to say that I really like this picture. I'm just a sucker for cats and dogs and this is a great one. I think it a thieves a feeling of curiosity which really goes well with the subject. Good job!

Truly a sweet boy! I love the depth of field and angle. The saturation on his eyes is great, but the rest of the image seems somewhat oversaturated. Such a lovely subject! _ Joseph Rees HHS

This photo is amazing! I think the sharp focus of the picture was appropriate as it enhances Pete's features, especially his mesmerizing eyes. There were no wasted empty space in the photo. I believe the cropping of the photo was just right. I love cat so this photo really caught my attention. Overall, the photographer did an awesome job!

The focus on Pete is amazing I love how great his eyes look. I think shooting him diagonally was a great choice. I also think that the photo is nice and tight, it really focuses on the subject. I love this photo! CD-HHS

I like that the cats face is the main focus of the image. I also really like that the face is framed around the edges, it draws your attention to the cat in the center. I also like how this was edited because the green of the cats eyes really pops. I think the photo is very balanced. I like this photo because I love cats and it also makes me miss the cats I used to have that passed away.-Elizabeth C. HS

I like the angle of the photo and the way that it looks, I think the cat being the main point of the photo is very fun to look at. I think f the colors were a little more dull it would be cool. -Maddie T HHs

I really like this photo and how the cat is coming into the darkness of the picture but then again, it's still the main focus of the shot which makes the photo really good. I also like the angle of the photo so it looks like the cat is coming down towards you. Overall, I would just tone the saturation down a bit.
