Zach B- 60 Years Of Lovin

I took this photo with my Canon EOS Rebel T6 while at the Botanical Gardens on our field trip. I ran into this couple and started talking to them because I saw the older lady was using a film camera which first peeked my interest in photography. As I started to talk to them, I learned they have been married for the past 63 years. I think the best way to sum it up was in his words: “she’s been my right hand since 1947 and my left hand since 1955.” What he was referencing was they met each other and became friends in 1947 holding their hands together. The reference with the left hand is that 1955 is when he put the ring on her finger when they got married. They are beautiful old souls that I thought needed to be shared which is why I took this photo of them holding hands as they walked away. For this photo I worked with the Color Efex Pro 4 and added a tint of orange and green to the photo. I lowered the brightness and sharpened the photo as well. In my belief, I feel that I couldn’t really add or do anything else to this photo to make it any better physically or mentally.

I really do love this picture. It captures the love and the picture has a little vintage look to it. The couple is a very cute couple that has been through a lot together and it looks like a very committed relationship. The color is great, the position of the pic is awesome. This picture is the best in the world.

This story is by far my favorite that I've read. I kind of wish the image was a bit brighter, but the tint that you added is very nice and the colors that they are both wearing compliment each other extremely well. Good job.

Pretty sure my heart just melted!! I love how you talked to them because it makes the photo that much more special. I love the vintage feel of the picture! Personally, I might have gone with a slightly less green filter, but still looks great! One other thing I might say is you might want to crop out the other people on the left side, but other than that I love how they're the center of the picture. Great shot! I hope I can find someone like that one day!

This picture is a wonderful representation of how simple art can be very meaningful. The story behind this picture makes the picture all the more beautiful. Wonderful job on the color overlay- it goes well with the timeless story this picture is representing. I also really love the light shining through the trees and the effect that it has on the subjects. Very nicely done!

This photo is phenomenal. it is perfect because it is candid so the couple in the picture don't know there is a photo being taken yet they still express their love. It kind of shows you that even tho you're old, you can still go on dates as when you were young. This will definitely be Mr and Mrs Rigsby in there future. - Carter S.

I LOVE this photo! Everything works so perfectly together. I really love the cool shadow effect with the sun and the trees. Just as captivating, the colors give the nature feel of the garden. This tells such a beautiful story of love, and I am sure that they would be happy with this photo if they saw it.

This is such a cute picture! I really like the colors, the oranges and greens. I also like how the deep the depth of field is. The shadows of the trees are so cool on the ground. If anything, I probably would have cropped the picture in a little bit tighter, but that's it. The story behind this photo is so cute and uplifting. Definitely a keeper!
