Dalton C. - Checkers

The title of this image is “Checkers”, it was taken in my house with my Canon EOS Rebel T1i. I brightened the image because it was taken in really low light, and I also increased the contrast to make the colors come out more. I wish that I would have cleared the dust before I took the picture.

I really like all the warmer colors in this picture. I also like the dramatic lighting that makes it seem like its aged. i also like how you got close up and can see the details. I would have dusted the board before taking the picture because the dust makes it look noisy.

Great photo! I really like the vintage look the checkers create, as well as the light to dark light shift. I actually like the aspect the dust gives. Keep up the good work! - Noah M HHS

This photo has a nice 'Drama' to it. The way the light reflects off of the edge of the wood grain. Personally i like the dust in the image. It kind of "shows off" the quality of the image.

This is such a cool picture! I love the lighting in the picture and how it adds this drama that would otherwise not be present in the picture. I think its a little dark in some places, but that adds to the effect. I also like the muted and dark colors of the picture. I agree that you probably should have dusted the board before taking the picture. Overall, this is a really nice picture. Definitely a keeper!

This is an excellent shot. I really like the color contrast of the checkers, and the shadows of the checkers as a whole. The darkening of the image adds to the intimidating vibe, and so does the subtle vignette. I for one like the dusty board, because it adds to the raw effect of the photo as a whole. All in all, this picture is definitely something I would want hanging in my living room or office space. Great work!

I really enjoy this photo! It puts me in a chill and resting mood. I love how the picture is dark but not too dark to where you wouldn't be able to see the board. I also love the texture that is shown in the picture. I can see little details like the dust and the scratches on the board. Great pic!

This is a really awesome photo! All of the colors blend very well together, and the angle you took it at gives the picture a dramatic tone. Nice job!

I think that this is a great image. It is focused well on the whole image and the colors are great. The colors blend in well together. It is giving me a happy feeling but also dedication. The angle the image was taken is also great. Betsy B.-HHS

I really like this photo because of the mood it brings across. I like how it is underexposed and that it has a calming mood. I also like hoe none of the pieces are centered or following the rule of thirds because it make the image continue on with a lot of focus points. This photo is for sure a keeper!
