Madelyn F- Star Lake Duck

I took this photo for the black and white assignment. I went to Star Lake and took photos of the ducks and swans. This was one of my favorite pictures I took for the assignment. I liked the detail of the water droplets on the swan and the separation of the feathers. I took this with my Nikon D500 and a 80-400mm lens.

This is a very good shot! I love how detailed it is. The water in the background looks really cool too. It's almost like you put the goose on a water background! Great job!

This is a beautiful photo. I love how you can see the slight ripples in the water, matching the elegant vibes. This is amazing in how it is so incredibly detailed that you can see the water droplets on the feathers. Wonderful job with this picture, the contrast is also incredible.

Love this image of the duck. I love the black and white edit on this as well. The detail in the duck is great too. I think the only thing I would do is give the duck some space by cropping it differently. Overall its an amazing photo. Good job! Braxton S. - HHS

This picture looks really nice. I love how you kept the focus on the swan as you took the picture. I also like how you managed to keep the swan in the middle of the picture, highlighting the detail in the back. Great job!

Really nice picture, the main focus of the head of the bird makes the picture look very good. The lighting is well balanced. I like the picture because it is in black and white and it is a very clean picture. I would hang this on my wall.

I love how you went with a black and white photo theme. The main focus is clearly the upper body of the swan. The cropping is great because you can see the swan up close. This gives me a stormy day type of mood. Overall, I like the photo and you did a great job.

This is such a nice image! The decision to make it black and white was a really good choice and I really like the background; it's very serene. The contract between the feathers and the beak/eye is amazing. Good job.

I think that this is a great image because it is in black and white. The colors blend in great together. I also love the waves in the background because they make me feel calm and relaxed. I also like the details of the swan. I would enjoy having this picture hanging on my wall if I could. Betsy B-HHS

I really like this picture because its simple and very clear. The black water in the background makes the duck pop out due to its white hairs. - Daniel L.
