Aundrea A. - Beach

The title of this image is Beach. It was taken at Gulf Shores Beach over spring break. I took this picture with my iPhone XR and I edited this picture by changing the radius shadow and a sharpening the image. It could be better if I had gotten a little bit more of the ocean in the picture and if the persons shadow was not in the picture.

This photo really caught my eye because of the contrast in texture between the sky and the footprints in the sand. There's a lot of sharp detail in the shape of the footprints and a strong focus on the patterns that I really enjoy. The shadows around the edges add more tonal range that makes a more complete composition. If I'm being completely honest, this image of an empty beach that by way of context clues was once full of life, makes me almost sad, more in a nostalgic way. Anyway, this photo is great, keep up the good work.

I really like how you took something simple and turned it into something interesting. I like that you decided to change the picture to black and white rather than leaving it as something that is typical about a beach. The composition of the image is spot on, although I wish you had got up closer to the waters edge this way we see that it is obviously a beach. When I first saw this image on the blog I thought it was a dessert.

I think this picture is really cool. The angle is great because it shows the texture of the sand and the water i the background with the sky. I think it would look really cool if you added a layer to the black and white and made the sky blue with the rest of the picture being black and and white. Overall I think this picture is cool.

I love how this turned out. I like the longevity of how the sand looks and how the filter darkens at the border.
