Kirsten W- Division

This picture is titled “Division” as the three crumpled papers stacked into a small pyramid, symbolizing the way in which good can be found in simple things, even among those which are evil. I took this picture during the Still Life assignment in the studio and used it as my manipulated image. I edited this image by increasing the black point and lowering the contrast of the picture. I then took my image into photoshop and used the drawing tool to draw red devil horns and outlines on the bottom two paper balls, while also using yellow to draw a halo and an outline surrounding the top paper ball.

this is a very cool image. I like how you put a meaning behind. If it weren't explained I would've just thought that it a was a crumbled piece of paper. I also like how you made the devil horns and the angel thingy. Very nice.

I really like this picture. It s really creative and the meaning behind it is cool. The colors also compliment each other so it overall is just a really good picture. I probably would of never thought of this so its really creative and artistic.

really cool picture! I like how you outlined the crumbled piece of paper and you did a really good job getting the details of outlining the edges. I also really like that you have the paper on a completely black background. The reflection sorta interrupts the feeling of it being suspended in complete black. One of the things you did really well is the stylized look of the paper which reminds me of the art on the front of the Origami Yoda book.

I really like this picture, it's so simple and basic but very fun with the devil and angel theme, it's very creative to think of and the background just being plain black makes it stand out more. Nice Job!

I really like the lining of the paper with the red and that yellow. I also really like the fact that the image tells a story.

I love this!! The outline of the paper and the little devil horns and halo are absolutely so cute, and the meaning behind the actual image is more serious but fitting. It tells its' own story and I believe anyone could be able to interpret it. Also, the focus is amazing and the detailing is quite nice. love it :)

I like this picture because of the edit and that the little evil demon paper balls and under the angel and the background is dark i have a fetish for dark backgrounds it's weird but yeah that's why i like the picture

I really love this image. For the quality of the photo, the focus and detail is sharp in the crinkles of the paper and the subtle shadow on the surface the paper is placed on adds another layer of dimension. The idea is super creative and the use of commonly associated colors to represent good and evil are very straightforward and solid decisions. The concept is interesting and the picture used as the base is very well done! I love this photo!

I really like this picture. I like the drawing you did on it. Also, I like how u make the background black. I think if u would have darkened the reflection under it, it would be better but overall it looks great.

This picture is very unique. It's really cool how you took such a simple picture and did a little bit of editing and drawing to make it really interesting. I like how you can see the reflection of the paper balls as well. Great job! :)
