Faye M- Lost My Place

The image I chose is called ‘Lost my Place’ because the book is opened to a page and whoever had been reading it had left it there and lost their place. I took it at the abandoned Pioneer Village in Florida sometime in December and I took the picture with my phone. In terms of editing, I increased the definition, saturation and I added a vignette in order to push the focus more towards the book. I’m happy with the result but I feel like it could have been better if I used a better camera.

I love the title and the subject of this image. I think the perspective is really cool too and while I don't support ripping pages out of books, I think the concept is really cool. I think the ripped pages add a good texture as well. I think the only thing I would change is to darken the background a little bit to not distract from the book itself. - Lauren B HHS

NICEEEE!!!!! I love how perfectly you captured this shot. I like how the background doesnt take away from the main focus. The background really complements the whole image.

Your picture is beautiful. The cropping of the photo is in a great perspective. i see the focus point on the words and the blurred background. a suggestion would be to create a better contrast with darks and lights. the mood of the phot is peaceful. The lines overall and overall composition make me want to look deeper into the photo.

This picture turned out really good. I love the darkness concentrated in the middle and the rustic look of it all. The book looks old and has a vintage vibe to it that I love.

The exposure is great. There is just enough lighting on the book to make it look fantastic. The color range of this photo is amazing. For this type of photo, the lighting and the range of which it reaches is great. The mood that this photo seems to be setting is a calm relaxing sensation.I wouldn't mind being in that photo.

This is such a good picture! I love the detail you capture in the book pages and the way the light is hitting the wood around the book. I also love the vintage you added because it really adds to the idea of the photo. Really good!

I really like this picture because of the rugged look to the book. I wish more of the book was shown in the image and take a bit of the background out. Other than that this image is very cool. Good job! :)

I really love this photo! I went through all the photos on the blog and this one stood out the most to me. This photo tells a story and has earned the name that it was given considering that the pages in the book are torn out and physically lost. The composition is great too. The dark tones with the bright green grass in the background make this image more interesting. The only thing I would change possibly would be to rotate the image so that the book is flat again, that way we can see more of the photo.

I love how clear this image is & how unique it is.The dreary foreground with the decayed & battered book serves a wonderful contrast to the background which is green & filled with light. I love the shift in the view its a seamless transition from clear to blurred. I also love the fact that you can actually see the words on the page & where the pages ripped. It's honestly a really cool photo.

I like his picture because of the angle and the color and the condition of the book.it's like the book got wet but its cute you know would've been better if the bright in the back wasn't like so high but overall its a very nice picture

I love this picture!!! U=Its sooo deep and meaningful. I love the title of the image ''Lost My Place'' its so meaningful with the pages being ripped and dirty which shows something dark and trying to be hidden. I love the way you edited this image the way the background fades in and out with the landscape and the beans of the wood. I love the little hints of light on the book and the table. This photo is amazing and i wouldn't do anything to change it.
