Christian P - The Story of Stories

This image is called The Story of Stories, it is a composite of two pictures which were both just taken in my bedroom.  I took both of these with my Nikon D3300 and edited one of them to make it black and white then blended in the other picture of my book shelf to make it look like the books are coming out of the pages.  I think it could be better if I had a more interesting background or just a slightly better picture of the bookshelf.

This is a neat photo! I love how you made the original photo B&W and then put the composite photo in color on top. I know you were trying to make it look like the books were coming out on the book but I didn't see it that well. I do believe the books could have been shot at a better angle but other than that, I really like this photo! Great Job

I really like this picture! The light is very soft which gives the picture a cool look. The vivid colors of the books make this picture interesting. This is the type of picture that should be hung on a wall.

This is very creative! The books within the book fit well, but I wish you tilted it out just a little bit more so that they spanned the entire page. Nonetheless, the hue and vibrance of the colors really pop, and the shadows around it allow for complete focus to be on the book. I think you did a swell job of titling the image as well. Overall, this is an excellent and very creative shot.

This looks good - because of the way you put the two layers together, I initially thought that this was a real book... You made the colors look really good, while somehow maintaining a softness that makes it look natural. Props to you for liking star wars, and keep making cool pictures.

This photo is really cool! I like the combination of the both photos having the image of books on the paper of the book we are "reading." Great mixture of all elements with perspective, color, and focus. I agree that if you had got a better view of the bookshelf in the photo it would look really good. Overall great photo and great idea!

I like how the background is black. I really draws attention to the subject and contrast the subject with the background. The depth of field is deep and works well with the photo. I think you did succeed at telling your story through this image.
