Dayne M- Water Front

The title of this photo is “Water Front”. It was taken in San Francisco this summer with a Nikon D5500. I edited this image by adding a black and white effect and increasing the definition, saturation, and shadows. This image could be better if the background wasn’t so busy and if the image was in better focus.

I like how the photo kept a depth of field using the ships in the background but although it could be focused on the ship a bit more than it is. I also feel that the rule of thirds used to give the depth of field very well done. I feel that the color range and the mood that I see in the photo helps to emphasize peacefulness captured in the photo.

I really like how the depth of field is very deep but it might be better if other boats were more in focus. The lines created from the sails on the boats make good composition using leading lines. The photo has good fore and background but the middle is not clear. I think this photo does a good job of expressing a story of a trip with many good views.
