Cain M- In My Room

This picture was taken in my room with a Nikon d3000. I used a five second timer and set the camera on a table. I increased the brightness and saturation to add color and light. This picture would be better if the focus was spread to the whole guitar and not just my hand.

Very good picture! I like how the light is coming in through the window. Its not to dull or to bright. I love how the light is reflecting off the guitar allowing us to see just enough to where we can see the string you are playing. Also i like the angle in which you took the picture. All around this is a pretty good picture. Good Job!

Cain, I really like your “In My Room” photo. I feel like your lighting that comes solely from the sunlight coming in from the window really compliments the subject of you holding the guitar because it gives you the distinct definition needed for us viewers to distinguish you and the guitar from everything else in the photo. I will also compliment you on how you centered the base of the guitar and your right hand into the very center of the photo. I really do like the photo and if I were you, I would hold on to it and probably use it as a desktop background because it is just such a nice picture. Great job!

I really like the lighting in this photo, and that you have a shallow depth of field. I also like that the background is dark. The only thing I would suggest is to leave the window out of the picture so more attention is paid to the guitar. Overall a great, calm-looking image, Good job! -Matthew W

I really do like this photo. My favorite is the neutrality of the colors. The DOF seems to fit this perfectly. The lines from the guitar make the image more captivating. The mood in this seems melancholy. This actually makes me more interactive with the photo. This mood gives it a bit of a story which is also another reason this photo is one of my favorites. This photo is definitely a keeper. If there was something that could be a little better, I would crop out the window. This would keep the natural light , while also removing unnecessary things. I like that the light is coming through the closed blinds to make everything just visible. I agree that the picture would be better if the focus was on more the guitar instead of the hand. I like how the picture is looking down the neck of the guitar because it gives this picture more depth and dimension. The light at the window is really white and harsh, but it makes everything else in the photo visible. Overall I like this picture.

Great photo! I get a chill vibe from looking at this photo. My dad plays guitar so this photo makes me feel nostalgic and happy at the same time. One thing I would say that might make the picture better is that you could've open the curtain a bit more. I don't know if it could but the one hand that looks like it is black and white. It's not a problem cause it's a great photo but it's just me. It's just as balanced as it could be. Otherwise, its a great photo and keep it up.

Good looking shot dude! This photo looks real clean with the low light shining onto the guitar. I think the photo would look a little better in my opinion if more focus was on the guitar or on the guitar strings but I think how it is now is great! Another thing is I the amount of light coming from the blinds is good but maybe a little more would be awesome! Its a really great photo and these things are not a problems its just my opinion. Overall this is a great photo all around.

Nice photo bro! I like how the light balances out with the guitar. It has really nice highlights and shadows. With all that being said I think there could be more light in this picture. I think this picture could be a little better if it was more focussed on the guitar. Overall nice photo, I like it.

Great picture! The main subject is mostly focused, but the guitar could be focused a bit more. I feel that if it was more focused the guitar strings would lead more towards the hands. The leading lines in this photo are great either way because they make you look deeper into the photograph. I see the mood in this photograph to be thoughtful and calm. Overall awesome job!
