Amber A- Hope

I took this picture in my backyard during the night. The original image was in color, but I made everything black and white except for one flower. I enhanced and boosted the color. Additionally, I altered the curves to achieve the right shade for the flower. I could have improved this image by making the color of the flower more red than scarlet.

I like how you added color to the very center flower in the picture because, along with the use of the color, it brings the attention to the very center of the picture. The surrounding flowers add a good background as well, so the picture does not look empty with just one flower in the middle. The focus of the picture is good to because by using black and white, you kept the background of the picture soft and the main focus of the picture a little harsher, which works. Overall, I like this picture because the contrast in the colors makes the picture pop in comparison to others.

I love the contrast of this picture. The black and white background really helps the red stand out. The different shades of grey add lots of depth to the picture. I like the soft focus for the background, but I feel that there's also too much soft focus on the red flower. This may be because you used a soft edge while masking the flower; I would try a hard edge on the brush.

I like this picture a lot. I love how you made this picture black and white and colored the flower that was in the center of the picture. I think the lighting of this picture is very balanced. I really like how this flower is bright red it stands out in this black and white photo. I really like this picture.

This picture is stunning! The enhancement of and detail of the flower is awesome. The black white just adds more emphasis to the red flower. I think this picture is awesome.
