Matthew R - James Bond

I title this image James Bond because I was inspired to make something like it after seeing the new Bond movie Spectre, and the Aston Martin that he drives. I took the photo of the car itself at a dealership in Nashville a month or two ago, and I took the photo of the background in downtown Birmingham a few months ago. I took the photos with my Canon T3i. I did a lot of editing. Firstly, I cut the car out of the first photo, being very precise and using masks to fill in the spots I missed, making it very clean. Then, I placed that image onto the background image to get a general idea of the fit. There was originally a mustang in the background photo, which I cloned out. The background photo was in broad daylight, so I lowered the exposure, added a blue tint, and did other things to make it appear like night time. I added lighting effects to the light poles, headlights, and ground to simulate the headlights being on. I added some fog to the background, darkened the car, posterized the bumper of the car to reduce reflection, cloned a tag out on the windshield, and added a few more effects to make it look realistic. It could be a little better, cleaner, and more realistic looking, but I’m pretty satisfied.

This is such a cool picture! The lighting and editing that you did gave this picture a kind of eerie feel to it which is awesome! I also like how the picture has a lot of depth to it. In my opinion it looks very realistic. Nicely done!!

This picture is really cool and it looks like a scene in a movie. The the depth of field is just right. The car looks like thats where the original picture was taken. The dark purple tint gives it a mystery feeling. I would hang it on my room.

This is an awesome picture Mathew the lighting is near perfect the only thing i might would change about it is the location of it so that there isn't a reflection on the car and it holds a more solid color where the tree reflection is.

Like the car its a nice car. I like the way you used a different background to give more action. The background makes the car look a savage.

Great job on the picture! I can tell that you've put a lot of work into this photo. The fog in the background limits the depth of field. I think in my opinion you could've had the fog on the sides of the street in order to have more depth leading into the tunnel. Aside from that I think that you have done an amazing job incorporating two composite portraits into one. I especially liked the blue tinted coloring that you did to the background, really gives it an ominous tone to the image. Additionally the objects in the picture are very well balanced having the car centered. This is a really creative picture, probably one of the best I've seen so far.

This is a really cool photo! It's very dark and mysterious; just like a James Bond movie! I like the fog and the headlights as well as the details in the car. It totally looks like you took it at night. Super cool!

I really like the photo as well as the title of the photo itself. I really like the background you selected except a black object in the sky above everything that feels really out of place. I wish the background image was lined up a bit more symmetrically as it feels off to me noticing this. I like the fog in the background and the editing you did to show the effect of the headlights on the background image. Overall it's a great job done.

I like tis picture a lot! I like the colors in this picture and how the main focus is on the car! I like the fog in the background too. The only thing I might have changed would be the car a little more closer to the camera. Overall, I really like this picture!

This is awesome! The focus on this image is sharp and right on the subject. The leading lines created by the car lights really direct attention towards the car. The mood I see in this photo seems dark and mysterious.

I really like this picture, I can tell you put a lot of work in this picture it shows off and at first look i thought you took a picture not insert a car in it. But I agree with you it should be a little cleaner. It's still a very well put together picture. Chris C-HHS

I... LOVE.. This photo. It is amazing.. I love the lighting and the focus in this photo. Yes it's obvious that it is edited heavily, but this is an amazing photo. The lighting is great because it's blurred in the back and showing the main focus. Perfect. I believe that for this picture, the dark vs light areas is perfect. From the title of your picture, and the photo, I can obviously tell that there is a story, because I feel you are trying to show that James Bond agent-style doesn't just stay in the movies, but follows you. I would hang this up on my wall because I love the photo in general. Hopefully the double O program doesn't end now, and..."Remember Bond... Don't break it this time". Good luck agent 007.

This photo is absolutely phenomenal! The composition, lighting, colors. and sharpness are astonishing. It really fits the theme of the movie, Spectre. The only part of this photo you could improve on is the upper middle portion of the background; it might help if you smoothed that area out a little. Overall great job on this photo!

I love this picture! The subject attracts my attention, this looks like a professional photo that would be in a ad of this car. I like how all textures in this photo are exaggerated and not in the bad way but in a way where it provides so much detail. I like how the hood of the car is shiney and also how the background is misty and adds suspension and mystery to the photo. Overall great job on this picture.
